Due to the endeavors and performances of many IT firms, as well as the government supports, the IT capability of Korea was ranked in the top 8th position by Huawei in 2015. Specifically, as far as the wire & wireless network and Internet speed, Korea has taken pride in possessing the competitive advantage. However, many academic and practical experts began to point out the lack of systematic research management on Internet. The purpose of the study is to identify various research issues on Internet and to verify their appropriateness. In addition, the study examined their recent trends and provided the prospect of the future Internet-related researches. Consequently, the finding indicates that the rigorous endeavors and outcomes for each proposed research issue have been resulted in and will be continued. The study anticipates the growing demands of researches in the fields of future network, multimedia application, big data, artificial intelligence, and Internet security.

Recently, the interests of mobile GIS(Geographic Information System) technology is increasing with the spread of wireless network, the improvement of mobile device's performances and the growth of demands about mobile services. If we refer mobile GIS system classified as 3rd generation with the success of Web 2.0, it is suggested that supplies of information from the server side couldn't enhance users' participations and the usage of service. In this study, we suggested the model of GIS 2.0 application based on Google map for Android smart-phones, which users could make, save and share information using photos and text by themselves. We were able to grasp the expectation of GIS 2.0 by expert assessment of this application and got to the core of conditions and implications for the success of GIS 2.0.

In this paper, we propose a broadband vehicle antenna that can operate at the WiBro band(2.3~2.4 GHz) for a wireless internet service. The feeding of the proposed antenna consists of two T-matching networks on both side of the polyarcylate substrate, and the two T-matching networks are connected through via holes. The designed antenna was built and installed on a rear window of a commercial sedan, and the antenna performances, such as the reflection coefficients and the radiation gain are measured in the open-sight area. The received signal strength of the designed antenna was also tested in a strong field area as well as in a weak field area. The measurement results show the matching bandwidth($S_{11}$ <10 dB) of about 300 MHz in the WiBro band and the average gain of about -5.13 dBi along the azimuth direction.

Recently, numerous government institutions and information service organizations have shown interests in employing ISO 9001 Quality Management System(QMS) to increase their organizational performances. However, due to the gap between the system requirements and the process oriented goals in reality, they have not been able to merit from the ISO 9001 QMS. So, Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information(KISTI) has been designed a process oriented system by incorporating the process analysis results into the existing ISO 9001 system requirements for enhancing organizational competitiveness and promoting productivity through a process standardization. As a result, KISTI has been ISO 9001:2000 certificate in November 11, 2003. And we obtain a improvement of customer satisfaction and efficiency of work, reduction of work processing time using KQMS.

We make an interference analysis to obtain a critical ctiteria for coexisting availability of WLAN and WiBro between adjacent channels can be used in TVWS(TV White Space). To meet this analysis, we set the various transmission parameters including the emission and blocking mask, antenna height and gain, transmission power and bandwidth, channel model etc. And, based on these parameters, we analyze on performances according to a variation of guard band, a number of service user and allowable transmit power of the user operating in the adjacent channels. In this paper, we consider a urban environment and apply a Extended Hata-SRD for WLAN and an interference link and Extended Hata model for WiBro, respectively. With these results, we can see how each system can be shared in an adjacent channel.

As the rapid increasement of the number of internet users has occured recently, many multimedia application services have been emerging. To improve quality of service, traffic can be suggested to be classified with priority in EPON(Ethernet Passive Optical Network), which is supporting the multimedia application services. In this paper, multimedia application services treat bandwidth classifying device in serving both delay sensitive traffic for real-time audio, video and voice data such as Von(Voice over Internet Protocol), and for real-time traffic such as BE(Best Effort). With looking through existing mechanisms, new mechanism to improve the quality will be suggested. The delay performances and packet losses of traffic achieved by supporting bandwidth allocation of upstream traffic in suggested mechanism will be analized with simulations.

Korea's five leading industries-chemical, automobile, shipbuilding, metal and electronics-have been the growth engines of the Korean economy for the last 30 years. However, with their performance weakening in the past few years, Korea's annual growth rate has dropped to less than 2%. Just as the Japanese economy struggled through the lost decades, Korea's leading industries have been facing signals of arriving at a Strategic Inflection Point ("SIP") since the mid-2000s. The objective of this study is to present an appropriate value strategy for Korean firms in leading industries to gain sustainable competitive advantages. This paper examines the following issues : First, it diagnoses the signs and timing of SIP for the five leading industries. Second, this study examines 78 Korean and Japanese firms in order to understand the adaptation strategies of the highest and lowest performing firms from a value strategy point of view. Third, it empirically analyzes the correlation between the indicators of value strategy and the accounting performances of the Korean and Japanese firms. The data set used in the cluster analysis were collected from KISLINE database of NICE Information Service and annual reports. The findings in the case analyses of high and low performing companies show that high value-added specialty chemical materials and electronic component manufacturers that had a strong focus on value creation were defined as high performing companies. And in the cosmetic and automobile industries, companies with a strong emphasis on value appropriation gained high performance. Furthermore, the study conducted a cluster analysis based on two indicators R&D and advertisement expense. The analysis shows that a significant gap exists in the operating incomes among three groups classified under the value strategy. The study recommends that Korean firms are requested to increase R&D expenditure, conduct M&A and collaborate with companies that own source technologies to narrow the technology gap and improve their segment portfolio from commodity to value-added products.

Objectives : Electroacupuncture is a procedure in which pulses of weak electrical current are sent through acupuncture needles into acupuncture points in the skin. Since the 1970s, electroacupuncture has been widely used for treating various diseases including pain, inflammatory diseases and neurodegenerative diseases and electroacupuncture research has also been actively conducted in Korea. This study was designed to assess the tendencies and research performances in Korea. Methods : Articles referring to electroacupuncture in Korea were searched in Korean Studies Information Service System, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, DBpia, Pubmed and Scopus, and assessed by distribution of document types, published articles, source institutes, journals, and subject categories. Results : Total 677 articles were included in this study. Among them, basic researches were 395, clinical researches were 210, reviews were 68 and others were 4. Kyung Hee university published the most articles, followed by Wonkwang univresity, Daejeon university and Pusan national university in Korean institutes. Journal of Acupuncture Research published the most articles, followed by Korean Journal of Acupuncture, Journal of Korean medicine rehabilitation and Journal of physiology & pathology in Korean medicine among journals. Animals were used in the most articles, followed by human, literatures and protocol in subject categories. The number of articles per year was related to the increase of research fund and the number per institution was related to the number of professors and researchers. Conclusions : In order to carry out better electroacupuncture researches, it is necessary to cultivate electroacupuncture researchers and increase in research funds.

In the Policy and Charging Control(PCC) architecture of the 3GPP and WiMAX forum, the Policy and Charging Rule Function(PCRF) controls and configures the policies of quality of services(QoS) and accounting to a Policy and Charging Rule Enforcement Function(PCEF). In this paper, we categorize the errors into three types that include a disconnection with peer entity, a delayed or no response and a response with failure result, and propose a scheme to automatically synchronize the data between the PCRF and the PCEF for each type of error. Also, we conduct a quantitative analysis to see how much it can help to maintain the cell capacity of the mobile VoIP service in a WiBro network, which is implemented in Korea according to the standards of WiMAX. We can see that our proposed scheme improves the performances of PCC by preventing the waste of radio resources, the overload of systems, the memory leakage of servers, the system shutdown, and so on. We have validated the scheme by implementation, and reflected it in WiMAX standard documents.

This study explored the performance factors of casino information systems for foreigners, empirically examined the causal relation between these factors and the business performances through organizational trust and job satisfaction and suggested a direction to enhance the casino information systems. The result of this study showed that, firstly, information quality impacted positively on security reliability and job satisfaction. Secondly, system quality impacted positively on security reliability and job satisfaction. Thirdly, service quality impacted positively on security reliability and job satisfaction. Fourthly, security reliability impacted positively on job satisfaction through security reliability. Lastly, security reliability and job satisfaction impacted positively on business performance. This research must be continued by expanding upon the variables of this research study, and there is a need for follow up research on methods that can analyze the management performance of casino information systems from a diverse set of approaches and also research that conducts an analysis on systems that are implemented to prevent tax evasion.
