A Study on Wellbeing Support System for the Elderly using AI (고령자를 위한 AI 기반의 Wellbeing 지원 시스템의 연구)

  • This paper introduces a smart aging service that helps the elderly lead a happy old age by actively utilizing IoT and AI technologies for the elderly who are increasing rapidly as they enter the aging society. In particular, we propose a future-oriented, age-friendly well-being support system that breaks away from the existing welfare concept to solve the aging problem but leads to a paradigm shift toward building a vibrant aging society by protecting from emergency and satisfying emotions. By introducing IoT and AI, it judges the life situation and emotional state from the living information of the elderly can respond to emergencies and suggest meetings as a change of mood and give an emotional comfort. Since the proposed system uses artificial intelligence techniques to determine the degree of depression when inputting information such as pulse-rate, dangerous word usage, and external communication, I think it showed the feasibility of the new concept of wellbeing support system that is totally different from conventional wellbeing concept of health-care.

  • OMG (Object Management Group) published a security service specification, called CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) security reference model because the integration of security and object-oriented techniques was critical for successful deployment of distributed object systems. The CORBA security reference model treats access control as an implementation independent semantic concept but has incomplete semantics of the access control function. Because of such imcompleteness it is difficult for the system administrator and the CORBA security implementor to have the same understanding for the meaning of access control in the CORBA security. We propose a formal model for access control the CORBA security using the formal description language, which is called Z language based on typed set theory. The proposed model provides concrete semantics of the access control function to both the system administrator and the implementor.

  • As a ubiquitous environment approaches and the use of the wireless Internet using the mobile terminals is on the increase. Therefore, the users have to undergo the inconvenience of repeatedly input the same information for the user registration and the ID certification. The information the users have to put in to register in on-line services range from the basic personal information to the more other private information such as financial information. Accordingly the user can be in control of users personal information and safely manage the information by conveniently selecting from the Digital ID Wallet the Ticket that holds various information including the basic, financial or payment certification-related information. Consequently, we propose a digital identity management mechanism to control one's personal information in a mobile environment.

  • As the aging of large domestic SOC facilities accelerates, facility maintenance is also changing from safety evaluation based on the current condition to performance-oriented preventive and preemptive maintenance based on the prediction of the level of future obsolescence. In particular, in the case of bridges, class 1 and 2 bridges are systematically managed along with many studies, but for small and medium-sized class 3 bridges there is no collection and utilization of historical data presenting performance degradation during their service life. Therefore, in this study, 3D model-based demonstration DB system was designed and developed to intuitively check the damage change rate at the damage location by registering the maintenance history by life cycle for each member's exterior damage in the 3D bridge object and to enable API-based comprehensive performance evaluation.

  • Microservices are not only developed independently, but can also be run and deployed independently, ensuring more flexible scaling and efficient collaboration in a cloud computing environment. This impact has led to a surge in migrating to microservices-oriented application environments in recent years. In order to introduce microservices, the problem of identifying microservice units in a single application built with a single architecture must first be solved. In this paper, we propose an algorithm-based approach to identify microservices from legacy systems. A graph is generated using the meta-information of the legacy code, and a microservice candidate is extracted by applying a clustering algorithm. Modularization quality is evaluated using metrics for the extracted microservice candidates. In addition, in order to validate the proposed method, candidate services are derived using codes of open software that are widely used for benchmarking, and the level of modularity is evaluated using metrics. It can be identified as a smaller unit of microservice, and as a result, the module quality has improved.

  • With the advent of the autonomous driving era, automobiles are being discussed as an extension of the media. The growth of the in-vehicle infotainment(IVI) system can provide various benefits and values to the driver and passengers. Although the development and research of related technologies is being carried out, there has been no research that specifically identified users' valuation on the main attributes of IVI systems. This study uses conjoint analysis to investigate key attributes and users' preferences. The results indicate that the most important attribute for IVI system is provider, followed by system operation type, main service and content type. For each attribute, consumers prefer a detachable infotainment system provided by a telecommunication company, and prefer to use information-oriented services and content that they have previously consumed. This paper provides practical implications, especially in terms of convergence, that operators can refer to in IVI development.

Patient-Centered Doctor's Competency Framework in Korea (한국의 환자중심 의사 역량 연구)

  • With increasing demands for medical care by society, the medical system, and general citizens and rapid changes in doctor's awareness, the competencies required of doctors are also changing. The goal of this study was to develop a doctor's competency framework from the patient's perspective, and to make it the basis for the development of milestones and entrustable professional activities for each period of medical student education and resident training. To this end, a big data analysis using topic modeling was performed on domestic and international research papers (2011-2020), domestic newspaper articles (2016-2020), and domestic social networking service data (2016-2020) related to doctor's competencies. Delphi surveys were conducted twice with 28 medical education experts. In addition, a survey was conducted on doctor's competencies among 1,000 citizens, 407 nurses, 237 medical students, 361 majors, and 200 specialists. Through the above process, six core competencies, 16 sub-competencies, and 47 competencies were derived as subject-oriented doctor's competencies. The core competencies were: (1) competency related to disease and health as an expert; (2) competency related to patients as a communicator; (3) competency related to colleagues as a collaborator; (4) competency related to society as a health care leader (5) competency related to oneself as a professional, and (6) competency related to academics as a scholar who contributes to the development of medicine.

Analysis on the Performance Elements of Web Server Cluster Systems (웹서버 클러스터 시스템의 성능 요소 분석)

  • This paper is on the research result for analyzing the performance of GLORY(GLobal Resource management sYstem) used for Web Server Cluster system, which was developed at ETRI(Electronic and Telecommunication Research Institute). The paper includes the definition of Web Server Cluster System, the characteristics of the system, user oriented system performance, current performance enhancement methods, computer simulation model for GLORY and its experimental results for the performance of GLORY. GLORY is composed of 2048~1,000,000 units of PCs, and is used for Internet servers. From the results of the simulation experiments, we notice that GLORY has enough capacity to fully serve the appropriate level of Internet services. Also, the results show that Web server service time is longer than that for network transmission time but requires more DNS than expected, and that 100Mbps LAN is good enough for directly connecting Internet to the Web servers while not affecting the total system performance.

  • The importance of software has been growing rapidly owing to the development of various Internet and e-business applications. The traditional approaches to software evaluation are based on the development process perspective, and their major concerns are no strongly related to use or customer-oriented evaluation of software. According to resource-based theory, company's resource is consisted of human, technology, market value, and finance. Customer satisfaction improved by product satisfaction and service satisfaction. Based on the previous studies the factors of human resources, technology, customer satisfaction are selected to evaluate software company's competence This research suggests the factor effecting on sales performance. And then statistical methods are used for verifying relationship between the factor and sales performance.

  • The wave of the information age gradually accelerates, and fusion analysis solutions that can utilize these knowledge data according to accumulation of various forms of big data such as large capacity texts, sounds, movies and the like are increasing, Reduction in the cost of storing data accordingly, development of social network service (SNS), etc. resulted in quantitative qualitative expansion of data. Such a situation makes possible utilization of data which was not trying to be existing, and the potential value and influence of the data are increasing. Research is being actively made to present future-oriented education systems by applying these fusion analysis systems to the improvement of the educational system. In this research, we conducted a big data analysis on Twitter, analyzed the natural language of the data and frequency analysis of the word, quantitative measure of how domestic windows education problems and outcomes were done in it as a solution.
