The aims of this study were to assess the lung lesions and to compare gross observations with histopathological findings in the lungs of slaughter pigs. During August of 2010 through July of 2011, the 1,200 lung samples were randomly collected from slaughtered pigs in Korea. We examined prevalence of lung lesions and classified the lung lesion according to the severity of lung lesions. For the comparison of gross lesions with histopathological findings, BALT hyperplasia was also examined. Among the tested samples, 1,100 (91.7%) had pneumonic lung lesions. In the seasonal prevalence of pneumonic lung lesions, spring was the highest followed by winter, summer and autumn, respectively. The mean pneumonic score ($mean{\pm}SD$) was $21.37{\pm}17.87$ and the highest gross lesion according to stages was 11~20% (27.2%, 326/1,200). The prevalence of pleuritis was 7.0% and the highest prevalence was determined in summer. In severity, the lungs collected in this study were frequently in chronic stage (36.4%, 437/1,200), and it was shown that BALT hyperplasia was more extensive in chronic lesion. In this study, the prevalence of pneumonic lung lesions showed a high side and appeared particularly high in the spring. Severity of lung lesion was the most prevalent chronic lesions which were consistent with histopathologic findings.
Goesan-gun and Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-Do have been separated administratively since 2003. Goesan-gun is rural area, and Jeungpyeong-gun is urban area. The purpose of this study is to observe changes after the separation of administrative districts (Goesan-gun and Jeungpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-Do). This study observed changes of Goesan-gun and Jenugpyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-Do based on population, the highest land value, employees and location quotient. Population of Goesan-gun has decreased, and that of Jeungpyeong-gun has increased. The highest land value of Jeungpyeong-gun has increased more than that of Goesan-gun. Observation of location quotient, with the location quotient of 2013 as a criterion, showed that manufacturing business and producer service business have developed in Jeungpyeong-gun, while agriculture and customer service business have developed in Goesan-gun. This result is due to the difference between regional characteristic of Goesan-gun and Jeungpyeong-gun.

The purpose of this study was to compare and evaluate the quality of beef jerky made with Korean beef meat, Korean beef cattle and imported beef meat from Austria and New Zealand. The beef jerky qualities were evaluated by sensory evaluation, measurement of crude lipid, fatty acid composition of lipid, and acid value and peroxide value, and of surface observation with a microscope. According to the preference test, whereas beef jerky made with Korean beef meat showed the highest score in color, glaze, palatability, and softness, while that of made with New Zealand beef meat did received the lowest score. The crude lipid content of jerky made with Korean and Austrian beef meat was higher than that of made with Korean cattle and New Zealand beef meat. Surface of jerky made with Korean and Austrian beef meat was gappier than that of made with Korean cattle and New Zealand beef meat, and the. The acid value of jerky made with Korean and Austrian beef meat was lower than that of made with Korean cattle and New Zealand beef meat. The peroxide value of jerky made with Korean cattle meat showed higher peroxide values from the initial storage time. However, the peroxide value whereas that of jerky made with Austrian beef meat was the lowest at initial storage time, it increased remarkably with storage time and showed the highest value after the 15th day of storage. We found that the change in quality of jerky made with Korean and Austrian beef meat was less than that those made of Korean cattle and New zealand beef meat. And it could be suggested that Korean cattle and New Zealand beef meat are not suitable in making jerky.

Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs) have shown a lot of good outcomes in providing a various functions depending on industrial expectations by deploying ad-hoc networking with helps of light loaded and battery powered sensor nodes. In particular, it is strongly requested to develop an algorithm of cross-layer control between 2-layer and 3-layer to deriver the sensing data from the end node to the sink node on time. In this paper, based on the above observation we have proposed an IEEE802.15.4 based self priority routing scheme under UC Berkely TinyOS platform. The proposed beacon based priority routing (BPR) algorithm scheme utilizes beacon periods in sending message with embedding the high priority data and thus provides high quality of service(QoS) in the given criteria. The performance measures are the packet Throughput, delivery, latency, total energy consumption. Simulation results under TinyOS Simulator(TOSSIM) have shown the proposed scheme outcome the conventional Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector(AODV) Routing.

Communication Ocean Meteorological Satellite (COMS) has the hybrid mission of meteorological observation, ocean monitoring, and telecommunication service. The COMS is located at $128.2{\circ}$ east longitude on the geostationary orbit and currently under normal operation service since April 2011. In order to perform the three missions, the COMS has 3 separate payloads, the meteorological imager (MI), the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), and the Ka-band communication payload. The satellite controls for the three mission operations and the satellite maintenance are done by the real-time operation which is the activity to communicate directly with the satellite through command and telemetry. In this paper the real-time operation for COMS is discussed in terms of the ground station configuration and the characteristics of daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and yearly operation activities. The successful real-time operation is also confirmed with the one year operation results for 2011 which includes both the latter part of the In-Orbit-Test (IOT) and the first year normal operation of the COMS.
This study determined the effect of postpartum intrauterine infusion of povidone-iodine solution on the subsequent reproductive performance in dairy cows. Six hundred and fifty-eight dairy cows that were around week 4 postpartum were randomly divided into two groups: (1) Cows in treated group received an intrauterine infusion of 100 to 150 ml 2% povidone-iodine solution (treated group, n=269), or (2) Cows that received no treatment were served as the controls (control group, n=389). The cows were bred at observed estrus more than 50 days after calving. Artificial insemination (AI) was done according to the a.m.-p.m. rule. The conception to AI was determined per rectum 60 days after AI by both ultrasonographical observation and manual palpation. The intervals from calving to first service and conception ($94.2{\pm}2.7$ and $144.1{\pm}4.1$ days vs. $88.0{\pm,}2.1$ and $143.5{\pm}4.6$ days, respectively), number of services per conception ($2.0{\pm}0.1$ vs. $2.1{\pm}0.1$), and cumulative pregnancy rates within 90 and 150 days postpartum (31.9 and 61.7% vs. 29.7 and 62.1%) did not differ between the control and treated groups (P>0.05), while conception rate at first service was lower (P<0.05) in the treated group (40.5%) than in the control group (49.4%). Additionally, we could not find any effect of intrauterine infusion of povidone-iodine solution according to cow parity or calving season on the reproductive performance. These results indicate that intrauterine infusion of povidone-iodine solution at week 4 postpartum does not affect the subsequent reproductive performance in dairy cows.
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to develop and train caregivers in tracheostomy tube care using a self-management program to assist patients with an 'at home' tracheostomy procedure. Caregivers' self-efficacy and knowledge of tracheostomy management before and after the training was also identified. Methods: Research participants were the main caregivers for patients with tracheostomies who were affiliated with a 'Home Healthcare Center'. Training and observation were done at 'A Hospital' and 'G Hospital' both affiliated with 'K University' in Seoul. Data were collected from May 3, 2010 to January 25, 2011 and analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test with SPSS program version 12.0. Results: Significant differences were found for the pre and post evaluation of the 'self-management program' for the implementation of tracheostomy care. The development and implementation of the 'self-management program' improved the main caregivers' knowledge of tracheostomy tube management (Z=-3.599, p<.001). Conclusion: Results show that this program has identified an effective nursing intervention for promoting the caregivers' knowledge of tracheostomy care and self-efficacy. We recommend that further research should be done to test primary caregivers' maintenance of knowledge and self-efficacy in tracheostomy tube management and identify factors affecting knowledge and self-efficacy in the care of these patients.
