  • The paper describes an automatic frequency control current-fed inverter for forging applications. The IGBT in series with diodes as its switching devices in the inverter circuit which is of full-bridge type. The operating frequency is automatically tracked to maintain a small constant leading phase angle when load parameters change. The load voltage is controlled to protect the switches. The output power can be adjusted by varying the input current from phase controlled rectifiers which is a part of current source. The system has been operated at 15-17 kHz. The output power transferred to the load is 1,595 watts. It can heat the steel work pieces with 15 mm diameter and 120 mm long from room temperature to approximately 1100 $^{\circ}C$ within 20 seconds with 0.97 leading power factor on the input side.

  • This paper presents a new ZVS-PWM high frequency inverter. The ZVS operation is achieved in the whole load range by using a simple auxiliary reverse blocking switch in parallel with series resonant capacitor. The operating principle and the operating characteristics of the new high frequency circuit treated here are illustrated and evaluated on the basis of simulation results. It was examined that the complete soft switching operation can be achieved even for low power setting ranges by introducing the high frequency dual duty cycle control scheme. In the proposed high frequency inverter treated here, the dual mode pulse modulation control strategy of the asymmetrical PWM in the higher power setting ranges and the lower power setting ones, the output power of this high frequency inverter could introduce in order to extend soft switching operation ranges. Dual duty cycle is used to provide a wide range of output power regulation that is important in many high frequency inverter applications. It is more suitable for induction heating applications the operation and control principle of the proposed high frequency inverter are described and verified through simulated results.

  • 제안한 유도가열 시스템은 증류탑 장치에 사용되는 특수적층 규칙충진체에 의한 열 교환기술과 IH(Induction-Heating)전자유도가열용의 특수한 고주파 전력회로 기술을 응용한 차세대 가열방식이다. 본 전자유도 유체가열기술은 IGBT대응의 고주파 인버터를 사용하여 상용교류로부터 수[kHz]의 고주파 교류를 발생시킬 수 있다. 공진형 고주파 인버터를 사용함으로 고성능, 고효율의 시스템화가 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 주파수 범위가 20[kHz]에서 44[kHz]인 고주파 공진형 인버터을 이용하여 증기를 발생시키는 유도가열시스템에 대해 제안한 온도제어에 대하여 기술하고자 한다.

  • The CCFL dimming control methods are generally used lamp current regulation or average current adjustment method feeding the CCFL inverter. Inverter operation frequency is higher than resonant frequency for safe operation. In this study, we design the half-bridge type series and parallel resonant converter circuit that switches at variable frequency modulation methods to control the output power. This method has advantages such as low EMI and reduced harmonics, and it is convenient for dimming control using a microprocessor. The validity of this study is confirmed from the simulation and experimental results.

  • When the MOSPET is applied as a switching device for the resonant inverter, a damped oscillating noise is appeared at specific frequency band. This damped Oscillation is caused by the series and parallel resonance due to distributed circuit parameter of snubber and main circuit. This paper describes the frequency-impedance characteristic of the resonant inverter and optimal snubber design strategy to reduce the RF noise.

  • Cold cathode fluorescent lamp(CCFL) are widely used to illuminate the liquid crystal display(LCD). Usually, CCFL dimming methods are used to lamp current regulation or average current adjust feeding the CCFL inverter. Switching frequency of inverter is higher than resonant frequency at stabile states. In this study, design of CCFL driving circuit by half-bridge type series and parallel resonant inverter that variable frequency modulation method to control the output power. This method has advantages such as low EMI and reduced harmonics. And it is easy to dimming control use microprocessor. The validity of this study is confirmed from the simulation and experimental results.

  • 본 연구에서는 순차식 게이트구동방식을 사용하여 L, C 공진회로로 링크된 2조의 full-bridge 인버터회로를 병렬제어하는 기법을 제안하고 있다.MOSFET로 구성된 각 인버터는 한 개의 등가스위치 모델로 되어 직렬공진형 등가 half-bridge 인버터회로를 구성하고 있다. 게이트 제어기법으로 각 소자의 구동 주기를 분할 제어함으로서 소자의 직병렬 운전이 가능한 순차식 게이트 구동방식을 사용하고 이에 따른 인버터의 회로동작 모드를 분석하고 해석하였다.시뮬레이션을 통한 회로 해석 결과 각 인버터단과 소자의 전압 및 전류분담이 적절히 이루어지고 있음을 알 수 있었고 안정된 회로동작이 이루어지고 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 유도 가열(Induction Heating)의 원리와 부하특성 및 등가회로를 해석하였고, Pspice를 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 회로의 타당성을 검증하였다. 실험에서는 2[kW]의 공진형 인버터를 환류 다이오드가 내장된 IGBT 모듈로 제작하였다. 인버터의 스위칭 주파수는 $20{\sim}50[kHz]$ 대역에서 사용하였으며, 인버터의 출력제어는 위상전이(Phase shift)방식을 이용하였다. 본 논문에서 설계 제작한 풀브리지 공진형 인버터의 동작 특성 및 성능을 검증하여, 유도 가열을 이용한 알루미늄 박판 가열의 활용 가능성을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • This paper proposes LCC type high frequency resonant inverter to be used as a source of induction heating device or ultrasonic device and considers of operating characteristic for it. The inverter is operated safely over wide range load, because it has both panel loaded capacitor and series loaded capacitor. Then, switching frequency of the inverter is controlled by feedback voltage and current in order to have constant output power even when load is varied.
