The ITT Industry's Commercial Advanced Geo-Imager (CAGI) which is a recurrent version of imagers used in the GOES series was selected as the COMS Meteorological Imager (MI). The ITT Imager can conduct some special observation such as the space look, blackbody observation, and star sensing regularly or irregularly for its radiometric quality control. Because the GOES-9 which uses an ITT Imager has become operational over the Western Pacific and Eastern Asia positioned at 155 degrees East, the reception of the GOES-9 data is available in Korea. As a step of preparing the COMS MI operation, we conduct the analysis of the GOES-9 imager raw data and operation procedures and compare them with contents of the ITT Imager's manual.

With the purpose of labour reduction in tea plucking operation with portable type machine, the influence of frame angles and tea leaves weight on the grasping forces of each finger were investigated. At the measurement of the grasping force of each finger except for thumb, grip strength dynamometers were attached at the grasping position of the frame instead of handle grips. A series of measurement was carried out changing frame angles of the tea plucking machine and the weight of tea leaves. With the obtained results of the experiments , the influences of the frame angles and the weight of the tea leaves on the grasping forces of each finger were analyzed. Some reasonable suggestions for the labour reduction in the tea plucking operation with portable type machine were obtained in the aspect of normalizing the balance of the grasping force on each finger and these suggestions are expected to contribute the labour reduction of the tea plucking operation.

This paper describes several reliability models to estimate COMS ground segment availability and shows assessed availability according to GS function. Due to a back-up concept among three ground center, SOC will have all H/W and S/W module to be installed in MSC and KOSC site. Therefore, all configurations and availability parameters for H/W and S/W modules in MSC and KOSC are assumed as equal with those in SOC, if related modules have same function. Prior to access availability over COMS GS function, Availability related to fundamental configuration such as series, parallel, partial operation, and module combined H/W and S/W is described. Consequently, all functions are expected to operate with more than 99% of availability.

We report five patients of esophageal injuries confirmed by clinical signs and radiological evidences. They include a partial tear and a perforation which were not noticed during the operation, a perforation which was primarily repaired during the operation, and two perforations which occurred during the reoperations for the removal of mal-positioned screws or plate. The partial tear was not repaired. The perforation which occurred during the operation was primarily sutured and didn't receive further treatment. Two perforations which occurred during the reoperations were treated by irrigation, debridement with surgical drainage, and systemic antiobiotics. One who was diagnosed later after the operation showed the poorest outcome and required longest hospital days among our series. Early detection and appropriate treatment of esophageal injury following anterior spinal surgery can only improve the prognosis by preventing secondary complications.

This paper describes a scaled model for PWM thyristor current-source inverter with a commutation circuit. The system consists of a 6-pulse thyristor bridge and an LC resonant circuit with thyristor switches, which offers thyristors to have turn-off capability for PWM operation with minimal switching losses. The proposed system can be used as a reactive power compensator with PWM operation for the utilitity application. There would be two advantages in the proposed system over the existing voltage source inverter. One is the low system cost due to using the conventional thyristors. Another is easy expansion of system operation voltage because th series operation of thyristor devices is already proven in HVDC system.

기존의 저궤도 인공위성 전력계 시스템에 사용된 직렬 구조, 병렬 구조는 공전 주기 동안 두 번의 전력변환 과정을 거쳐 시스템의 효율을 감소시킨다. 직-병렬 구조는 한 번의 전력변환 과정을 거쳐 시스템의 효율을 향상시키지만 레귤레이터가 추가됨으로써 시스템의 비용과 무게, 크기를 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서는 레귤레이터의 추가 없이 시스템의 효율을 향상시키는 단순화된 직-병렬 구조를 제안한다. 인공위성이 지구를 공전하는 동안 상황에 따라 변화하는 제안한 구조의 동작을 네 가지 모드로 분류하고, 각 모드마다 제안한 시스템을 안정적인 동작을 확인하기 위하여 대신호 분석을 수행하였다. 실험을 통하여 기존의 직렬구조와 제안한 구조의 효율을 비교하였다. 제안한 구조의 안정적인 동작을 검증하기 위해 200W급 태양전지와 TMS320F2812 DSP로 제어되는 100W급 전력조절기 두 모듈을 병렬로 구성하여 실험하였다.

Let D be an integral domain, {$X_{\alpha}$} be a nonempty set of indeterminates over D, and $D{\mathbb{[}}\{X_{\alpha}\}{\mathbb{]}_1}$ be the first type power series ring over D. We show that if D is a t-SFT $Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ v-multiplication domain, then $D{\mathbb{[}}\{X_{\alpha}\}{\mathbb{]}}_{1_{D-\{0\}}}$ is a Krull domain, and $D{\mathbb{[}}\{X_{\alpha}\}{\mathbb{]}}_1$ is a $Pr{\ddot{u}}fer$ v-multiplication domain if and only if D is a Krull domain.

IN induction heating system the high frequency operation allows a rapid response to current fluctuation in the inverter and result in improved welding quality. To work induction heating of nonferrous metals, a welding power supply is need high working frequency and high power. This paper is shown design technique for increasing working frequency in induction heating for welding coppers. A series-parallel resonate inverter consists of H-type bridges, each of whose arms is composed of a combination of two parallel IGBTs. Inverter operating with the fixed frequency is controlled by pulse width modulation (PWM). As switching adapted the Zero-Voltage Switching technique to reduce switching losses the system is high efficiency. The propose inverter has feature which is high efficiency for very wide load variations with a narrow range of duty cycle ratio control and load short circuit capability. Detailed experimental results obtained from a 48[V] output, 500[W] experimental inverter are presented to verify the concept.

This paper proposes a static synchronous series compensator based on multi-bridge inverter. The proposed system consists of 6 H-bridge modules per phase, which generate 13 pulses for each half period of power frequency. The dynamic characteristic was analyzed by simulations with EMTP code, assuming that it is inserted in the 154-kV transmission line of one-machine-infinite-bus power system. The feasibility of hardware implementation was verified through experimental works using a scaled model. The proposed system does not require a coupling transformer for voltage injection, and has flexibility in expanding the operation voltage by increasing the number of H-bridge modules.

For a ring endomorphism ${\alpha}$ and an ${\alpha}-derivation\;{\delta}$ of a ring R, we study relation between the set of annihilators in R and the set of annihilators in nearring $R[x;{\alpha},{\delta}]\;and\;R_0[[x;{\alpha}]]$. Also we extend results of Armendariz on the Baer and p.p. conditions in a polynomial ring to certain analogous annihilator conditions in a nearring of skew polynomials. These results are somewhat surprising since, in contrast to the skew polynomial ring and skew power series case, the nearring of skew polynomials and skew power series have substitution for its "multiplication" operation.
