국내외 경전철 O&M 분야의 운영방안에 대한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Operation Plan of LRT O&M between Domestic and Japanese)

  • The study of this study is to suggest the advanced vision of LRT O&M through comparing the domestic and japanese. Currently local government attract a private capital to construct the LRT competitively. It was investigated the O&M field participation of Light Rail Transit by the Seoul metro which operates Seoul subway 1,2,3,4 lines at this time. But, according to the restricted operation experiences in domestic, Japanese companies which operates a Light Rail Transit in Japan were analysed using several statistics. It were compared with operation plan of domestic execution design phase of representative 4 lines. The analysis gives us some points in common and suggestions that are very important and prerequisite for advancing seoul metro into LRT O&M business.

  • Metro is taking an important part as a public transportation of densely populated area. but according to request of increasing transportation demand and improving service for passengers, minimizing headway, functional improvement of safety facility, improving riding comfort are needed. Also, it is the time for Seoul metro's signalling system to be improved into a new one as it has been opened to traffic for over 20 years and its signalling system is becoming superannuated. this paper reviewed the considerations at improving a signalling system and its solution.

지하철 안내전광판의 디자인 가이드라인 제안 -서울 메트로를 중심으로- (A Proposal of Design Guidelines for Subway Guide Board -Focusing on Seoul Metro-)

  • 서울시 지하철 객실에 설치된 안내전광판은 현재 한국어·영어·중국어·일본어 4개 국어로 역사와 전동차 내 설치된 LCD 모니터를 통해 주요 정보나 운행정보를 알리는 안내방송을 실시하고 있다. 하지만, 지하철 객차 안내 화면이 운행 정보보다 광고를 더 비중 있게 표시하는 탓에 이용자들이 혼란을 겪고 있다. 연구 방법으로는 현재 서울 지하철에 설치된 안내전광판의 현황과 문제점을 파악하고 개선된 새로운 안내전광판 시안을 제시해 서울시 지하철을 주로 이용하는 이용객 10대부터 60대까지 67명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 탑승한 노선마다 화면 디자인이 달라 필요한 정보만을 제공하는 안내전광판 통일이 필요하다. 특히 이용객이 각지에서 이동하기 위해 지하철을 여러 번 환승하므로 안내전광판 디자인은 광고전광판이 아닌 긴급 재난안내나 승하차 정보의 기능을 해야 한다.

  • 수도권 도시철도 혼잡으로 인해 다양한 문제가 발생되고 있어 도시철도 혼잡을 정확히 분석하는 연구 또한 해결방안 중 하나일 것이다. 현재 계수법, 중량검지법, CCTV, 모바일 Wi-Fi 등을 활용한 혼잡도 분석방법론은 결과의 정확성이 낮거나 단일 노선 및 열차에만 국한되는 한계점이 존재한다. 본 연구에서는 도시철도 승객의 다중경로 이용행태와 수도권 도시철도 열차운행계획을 반영한 열차 혼잡도 분석모형을 제시하였다. 특히 열차 용량 초과시 승객이 대기한 후 다음 열차에 탑승하는 통행패턴을 고려하여 열차 혼잡도 산정의 정확성을 제고하였다. 열차 혼잡도는 10분 단위로 갱신되어 시민에게 혼잡정보 제공이 가능하므로 사회적 편익증대에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

DC 변전소 몰드변압기 온라인 상태 감시 시스템 구현 (Implementation of a Condition Monitoring System for Mold Transformers in DC Substations)

  • The mold transformer is a complex and critical component of DC substations in Metro system. In this paper, a cost effective and intelligent condition monitoring system for mold transformers in DC substations was developed. This paper also provides an overview of the management program using PD (partial discharge) data on mold transformers. Prior to application of the proposed system to Metro DC substations, experiments were performed at the metro line substation located in Seoul and presented case studies for the use of the intelligent condition monitoring system for mold transformer in DC substations. The experiment results indicated that the developing system can be need in helping mange the risk of unexpected failure of mold type transformers.

광역상수도 시설의 비상시 의사결정을 위한 전문가시스템 (Expert System for Emergency Decision Making for Metro Water Supply Systems)

  • An efficient operational strategy using expert system for metro water supply systems in case of emergency situations is developed in this study. The emergency situations of the water supply systems are classified into three categories : pipeline system accident, machinery and electric facility accident and water quality accident. A PC-based expert system is developed using CLIPS for Seoul metro water supply system, Phase 1 & 2 system and Phase 3 & 4 system. Broad professional knowledges and experiences from the experts in the water supply systems have been collected systematically to construct the knowledge base. Decision-making in case of an emergency is based upon the professional knowledge so that a rational and efficient operational management can be available even in the absence of experienced expert. Especially the expert model developed in this study also provides a guide for pumping operation in case of pipeline accident to confirm that the proper pressure to all nodes in the system is supplied. The pipe network simulator KYPIPE has been consecutively executed by trial and error fashion for each pipeline in the system. The results from KYPIPE were included in the knowledge base to supplement the knowledge of the field engineers.

확률적 프론티어 방법을 이용한 도시철도 운영기관의 효율성 분석 : 외부 환경요인의 효과 (The Efficiency Analyses of Urban Railway Corporations Using a Stochastic Frontier Analysis : The Effect of External Factors)

  • With the huge concerns on the inefficiency of public enterprises, particularly a significant amount of debt, an increasing number of studies have been carried out to analyze the levels of inefficiency and investigate the causes of that inefficiency. However, very limited range of analytical methodologies have been used in the efficiency analysis and moreover, the effects of external factors have been little addressed. This study explores the efficiency of urban railway corporations in Korea by utilizing a method of stochastic frontier analysis (SFA). In particular, the potential effects of external factors including residential and floating populations of a station were statistically analyzed. A total of seven Korean urban railway corporations were selected to compare each other in terms of operational efficiency. The results present three important findings. First, the Cobb-Douglas model was found to be more valid for SFA compared to the Translog model. Second, the efficiencies of urban railway corporations in Seoul and Busan are relatively high whereas those of Daejeon and Gwangju are very low in efficiency in the area of sales revenue. In an aspect of number of transport of passengers, Gwangju Metro also showed the lowest efficiency. Third, the external factors are significantly associated with the efficiency, indicating that the efficiencies of Daejeon Metro and Gwangju Metro would increase while the efficiency of Seoul Metro would decreases when the external variables are excluded in the efficiency analysis. The results provide several meaningful implications for managers of the urban railway corporations as well as policy makers who are attempting to resolve the inefficiency problems of public enterprises.
