Social network services (SNS) have become the most common tool for the communication of public and private opinions as well as public issues; consequently, one may form or drive public opinions to advocate by spreading positive content using SNS. Controversy for survey data based opinion poll accuracy continues in relation to response rate or sampling methodology. This study suggests complementary measures that additionally consider the sentiment analysis results of unstructured data on a social network by data crawling and sentiment dictionary adjustment process. The suggested method shows the improvement of prediction accuracy by decreasing error rates.
In this paper, we proposed a multi-subject-level sentiment analysis model for user reviews using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) method targeting user-generated content (UGC). Data were collected from users' online reviews of hotels in major tourist cities in the world, and 30 hotel-related topics were extracted using the entire user reviews through the LDA technique. Six major hotel-related themes (Cleanliness, Location, Rooms, Service, Sleep Quality, and Value) were selected from the extracted themes, and emotions were evaluated for sentences corresponding to six themes in each user review in the proposed sentiment analysis model. Sentiment was analyzed using a dictionary. In addition, the performance of the proposed sentiment analysis model was evaluated by comparing the emotional values for each subject in the user reviews and the detailed scores evaluated by the user directly for each hotel attribute. As a result of analyzing the values of accuracy and recall of the proposed sentiment analysis model, it was analyzed that the efficiency was high.
Sentiment classification is a recent subdiscipline of text classification, which is concerned not with the topic but with opinion. In this paper, we present a Korean sentence and document classification system using effective sentiment features. Korean sentiment classification starts from constructing effective sentiment feature sets for positive and negative. The synonym information of a English word thesaurus is used to extract effective sentiment features and then the extracted English sentiment features are translated in Korean features by English-Korean dictionary. A sentence or a document is represented by using the extracted sentiment features and is classified and evaluated by SVM(Support Vector Machine).

Online reviews we encounter commonly on SNS, although a complex range of assessment information affecting the consumer's preferences are included, it is general that such information is just provided by simple numbers or star ratings. Based on those review types, it is not easy to get specific information that consumers want and use it to make a decision for purchase. Therefore, in this study, we propose a prediction methodology that can provide ratings broken down by evaluation items by performing sentiment analysis on restaurant reviews written in Korean. To this end, we select 'food', 'price', 'service', and 'atmosphere' as the main evaluation items of restaurants, and build a new sentiment dictionary for each evaluation item. It also classifies review sentences by rating item, predicts granular ratings through sentiment analysis, and provides additional information that consumers can use to make decisions. Finally, using MAE and RMSE as evaluation indicators it shows that the rating prediction accuracy of the proposed methodology has been improved than previous studies and presents the use case of proposed methodology.

Our goal is to build the system which collects tweets from Twitter, analyzes the sentiment of each tweet, and helps users build a sentiment tagged corpus semi-automatically. After collecting tweets with the Twitter API, we analyzes the sentiments of them with a sentiment dictionary. With the proposed system, users can verify the results of the system and can insert new sentimental words or dependency relations where sentiment information exist. Sentiment information is tagged with the JSON structure which is useful for building or accessing the corpus. With a test set, the system shows about 76% on the accuracy in analysing the sentiments of sentences as positive, neutral, or negative.

A given product's online product reviews build up to form largely positive or negative reviews or mixed reviews that include both the positive and negative reviews. While the homogeneously positive or negative reviews help readers identify the generally praised or criticized product, the mixed reviews with minority opinions potentially contain valuable information about the product. We present a method of retrieving minority opinions from the online product reviews using the skewness of positive/negative reviews. The proposed method first classifies the positive/negative product reviews using a sentiment dictionary and then calculates the skewness of the classified results to identify minority reviews. Minority review retrieval experiments were conducted on smartphone and movie reviews, and the F1-measures were 24.6% (smartphone) and 15.9% (movie) and the accuracies were 56.8% and 46.8% when the individual reviews' sentiment classification accuracies were 85.3% and 78.8%. The theoretical performance of minority review retrieval is also discussed.
As the scale of the internet grows, the amount of subjective data increases. Thus, A need to classify automatically subjective data arises. Sentiment classification is a classification of subjective data by various types of sentiments. The sentiment classification researches have been studied focused on NLP(Natural Language Processing) and sentiment word dictionary. The former sentiment classification researches have two critical problems. First, the performance of morpheme analysis in NLP have fallen short of expectations. Second, it is not easy to choose sentiment words and determine how much a word has a sentiment. To solve these problems, this paper suggests a combination of using web-scale data and a statistical approach to sentiment classification. The proposed method of this paper is using statistics of words from web-scale data, rather than finding a meaning of a word. This approach differs from the former researches depended on NLP algorithms, it focuses on data. Hadoop and MapReduce will be used to handle web-scale data.
Hotel review data can extract various information that includes purchasing factors that lead to consumption, advantages, and disadvantages for hotels. In particular, the sentiment keyword of the review data helps consumers understand the pros and cons of hotels. However, it is not efficient for consumers to read a large number of reviews. Therefore, it is necessary to offer a summary review to customers. In this study, we suggest providing summary information on sentiment keywords association as well as a network of hotels based on sentiment keywords. Based on a sentiment keyword dictionary, the extracted sentiment keywords associations construct the hotel network through topological data analysis based mapper. This hotel network allows a consumer to find some hotels associated with specific sentiment keywords as well as recommends the same related hotels. This summary information provides users with a summarized emotional assessment of hotels and helps hotel marketing teams understand consumers' perceptions of their hotel.
This study confirms the polarity of news articles on apartment prices using Opinion Mining which has widely been used for a big data analysis. The analyses were carried out utilizing internet news articles posted on the Naver for two years: 2012 and 2018. We proposed a sentiment analysis model and modeled a topic-oriented sentiment dictionary construction methods. As a result of analyzing the proposed sentiment analysis model, it was confirmed that there was a difference according to the tendency of the media companies in selecting social issues at the time of rising apartment prices. At the same time, we were able to find more affirmative articles in the media companies which share similar sentiment with the government in charge. In this paper, we proposed a sentiment analysis model that can be used in real estate field and analyzed the polarity of unformatted data related to real estate. In order to integrate them into various fields in the future, it is necessary to build the sentiment dictionaries by themes, as well as to collect various unformatted data over extended periods.
Many researches are accomplished as a result of the efforts of developing the production predicting model to solve the supply imbalance of onions which are vegetables very closely related to Korean food. But considering the possibility of storing onions, it is very difficult to solve the supply imbalance of onions only with predicting the production. So, this paper's purpose is trying to build a sentiment dictionary to predict the price of onions by using the internet articles which include the informations about the production of onions and various factors of the price, and these articles are very easy to access on our daily lives. Articles about onions are from 2012 to 2016, using TF-IDF for comparing with four kinds of TF-IDFs through the documents classification of wholesale prices of onions. As a result of classifying the positive/negative words for price by k-means clustering, DBSCAN (density based spatial cluster application with noise) clustering, GMM (Gaussian mixture model) clustering which are partitional clustering, GMM clustering is composed with three meaningful dictionaries. To compare the reasonability of these built dictionary, applying classified articles about the rise and drop of the price on logistic regression, and it shows 85.7% accuracy.
