In this paper, Ka-Band NRD guide band pass filter with newly designed inductive post structure is proposed and analyzed with its test results. Generally, millimeter-wave filters are very sensitive in their physical dimensions, hence, it is requires extreme precisions of several micron so as to get the designed performance. In case of common NRD Guide filter with air gap coupled structure, it is fabricated with dielectric blocks coupled via air gap. In these structures, however, it was not easy to fabricate and to process of each NRD guide dielectric resonator blocks using PTFE, so it was almost impossible to assemble with several microns in precision. In this our research, however, each dielectric resonators are coupled with a pair of inductive metal post, so all resonators are located in a single NRD Guide. The dielectric parts between two pairs of posts are operated as resonators of each stage, and the positions of the post decide the couplings between resonators. The structure we suggested is suitable fur mass production, because it is very simple and easy to process. As a result of measurements, designed NRD guide inductive post filter has a superior performance. The center frequency is 39.475 GHz with 350 MHz bandwidth, insertion loss is less than 1.8 dB, and the return loss is below than -18 dB.
In this research, we designed an LSPR sensor based on a thin-film multilayer comprising $TiO_2$ and $SiO_2$. The thickness of the overall substrate layer of the suggested multilayer LSPR sensor is limited to 100 nm, and the number of repeating $TiO_2$ and $SiO_2$ thin films is 1-4 within a limited thickness. Additionally, a nanowire structure with a gold thin film of 40 nm, height of 40 nm, period of 600 nm, and line width of 300 nm was formed on the multilayer. To design the variable wavelength-type SPR, the angle was fixed at $75^{\circ}$ and the wavelength was changed. We then simulated the system with the finite-element method (FEM) using Maxwell's equations. It was confirmed that the resonance wavelength became shorter as the number of multilayers increased when the refractive index was fixed. We found that the wavelength changes were more sensitive. However, no changes were observed when the number of the multilayers was three or higher.
In this study simple and sensitive high performance liquid chromatographic method using a commercially available column, was developed and validated for the determination of zolpidem tartrate in human plasma. The developed method with suitable validation was applied to a bioequivalence study of two different kinds of zolpidem tartrate. Two different formulations containing 10 mg of zolpidem tartate (CAS : 99294-93-6) were compared in 24 healthy male volunteers in order to compare the bioavailability and prove the bioequivalence. The study was performed in an open, single dose randomized, 2-sequence, cross-over design in 24 healthy male volunteers with a one-week washout period. Blood samples for pharmacokinetic profiling were drawn at selected times during 12 h. The mean $AUC_{0-12h}$, $C_{max}$, $T_{max}$ and $T_{1/2}$ were $676.6{\pm}223.4$$ng{\cdot}h{\cdot}mL^{-1}$, $177.4{\pm}34.2$$ng{\cdot}mL^{-1}$, and $0.8{\pm}0.4$ and $3.5{\pm}2.1$, respectively, for the test formulations, and $640.7{\pm}186.6$$ng{\cdot}h{\cdot}mL^{-1}$, $193.0{\pm}64.5$$ng{\cdot}mL^{-1}$, and $0.9{\pm}0.4$ and $2.7{\pm}0.9$, respectively, for the reference formulation. Both primary target parameters $AUC_{0-12h}$ and $C_{max}$ were log-transformed and tested parametrically by analysis of variance (ANOVA). 90% confidence intervals of $AUC_{0-12h}$ and $C_{max}$ were in the range of acceptable limits of bioequivalence (80-125%). Based on these results, the two formulations of zolpidem tartate are considered to be bioequivalent.

A parametric sensitivity to the annual exposure dose rate to the farming exposure group has been probabilistically carried out for three principal elements associated with the nuclide transport behavior in the near-field of the pyroprocessed waste repository system. Credit time for both metal and ceramic containers, annual nuclide release rete, and the degree of loss of bentonite buffer around the container are selected as the elements and investigated for important nuclides. All the elements are shown to be sensitive to the results. Methodology studied through this study and the results are expected to make a good feedback to the repository design. As a follow-up study, separated in Part 2, the A-KRS will be deterministically assessed and then compared among each other with the normal, the worst, and the best case scenarios associated with their extreme values these elements could have.
Studies have been carried out to design a suitable consumer size package from flexible packaging material to hold 100 grams of Chilli powder and 250 grams of whole chilli which are moisture and color sensitive. 1. Sorption characteristics of the chilli powder has revealed that moisture sorption is rapid above 55 per cent R.H., and the product is fairly hygroscopic. Further, an equilibrium moisture content of about 15 per cent at 70 per cent R.H., appears to be critical from the point of microbial spoilage of chilli powder. 2. Studies on the colour (Capsanthin) changes of chilli powder equilibriated to different moisture content, have revealed that colour changes during storage is greatly influenced by the moisture content and temperature decreases the capsanthin content of chilli during storage. 3. From the studies, it can be inferred that the sunlight exhibits pronounced effect in bleaching of colour and brings about maximum discolouration of the red pigment in chilli. 4. From the packaging and storage studies of chilli powder in different flexible films, it can be concluded that for long-term storage, the aluminium foil laminate is unique in offering maximum protection from various physico-chemical changes. For short-term storage and for fairly good moisture and colour protection, amber or black polyethylene, high-density polyethylene and Saran/Cello/Saran poly laminate pouches appear to be suitable alternatives.

This study intends to present a fragility analysis method suitable for concrete cable-stayed bridges by performing an analysis reflecting design criteria and material characteristics from the results of inelastic time-history analysis. In order to obtain the fragility curve of the cable-stayed bridge, the limit state of the main component of the cable-stayed bridge is determined, and the damage state is classified by comparing it with the response value based on inelastic time history analysis. The seismic fragility curve of the cable-stayed bridge was made by obtaining the probability of damage to PGA that the dynamic response of the vulnerable parts to input ground motion would exceed the limit state of each structural member. According to the pylon's fragility curve, the probability of moderate damage at 0.5g is 32% for the longitudinal direction, while 7% for the transversal direction, indicating that the probability of damage in the longitudinal direction is higher in the same PGA than in the transversal direction. The seismic fragility curve of the connections showed a very high probability of damage, meaning that damage to the connections caused by earthquakes is very sensitive compared to damage to the pylon and cables. The cable's seismic fragility curve also showed that the probability of complete damage state after moderate damage state gradually decreased, resulting in less than 30% probability of complete damage at 2.0g.
Geophysical investigation in non-destructive testing is economically less expensive than boring testing and providing geotechnical information over wide-area. But, it provides only limited geotechnical information, which is hardly used to the design. Accordingly, we performed electrical resistivity experiments on large scale of soil model to analyze the correlation between electrical resistivity response and soil water contents. The soils used in the experiments were the Jumunjin standard sand and weathered granite soil. Each soil particle size distribution and coefficient of uniformity of experimental material obtained in the experiments were maintained in a state of the homogeneous. The specifications of the model used in this study is $160{\times}100{\times}50$(cm) of acrylic, and each soil was maintained at the height 30 cm. The water content were measured using the 5TE sensors (water contents sensors) which is installed 7 ~ 8 cm apart vertically by plugging to floor. The results of the resistivity behavior pattern for Jumunjin standard sand was found to be sensitive to the water content, while the weathered granite soil was showing lower resistivity over the time, and there was no significant change in behavior pattern observed. So, it results that the Jumunjin standard sand's particle current conduction was better than the weathered granite soil's particle through contact with the distilled water. This lab test was also compared with the result of a test bed site composed of similar weathered soil. It was confirmed that these experiments were underlying research of non-destructive investigation techniques to improve the accuracy to estimate the geotechnical parameter.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the seismic capacity of RC piers with small aspect ratios. Test specimens were selected from the prototype piers among existing national roadway bridges which are expected to fail in shear and/or complex shear-flexural mode. Two groups of full scale RC pier models were constructed with aspect ratios of 2.25 and 2.67. Quasi-static tests have been implemented to investigate the failure behavior of the RC piers in terms of the lap-spliced longitudinal reinforcing steel and the aspect ratio. It is confirmed that regarding its shear-flexural behavior, the pier is very sensitive to the aspect ratio or details. In the case of a test pier with highly lap-spliced longitudinal bars, the bond failure of lap-splice steels was the dominant cause of failure before the occurrence of flexure or shear-flexural failure, despite a slight change in the aspect ratio. Finally, based on the test results and analysis, this paper proposes formulas for the yielding and ultimate displacements of circular reinforced concrete bridge piers without seismic details. These formulas will be useful for the investigation and upgrade of the seismic capacity of bridge piers without seismic details.

Future wireless systems will be required to support the increasingly nomadic lifestyle of people. This support will be provided through the use of multiple overlaid networks which have very different characteristics. Moreover, these networks will be required to support the seamless delivery of today's popular desktop services, such as web browsing, interactive multimedia and video conferencing to the mobile devices. Thus one of the major challenges in the design of these mobile systems will be the provision of the quality of service (QoS) guarantees that the applications demand under this diverse networking infrastructure. We believe that it is necessary to use resource reservation and adaptation techniques to deliver these QoS guarantee to applications. However, reservation and pre-configuration in the entire service region is overly aggressive, and results in schemes that are extremely inefficient and unreliable. To overcome this, the mobility pattern of a user can be exploited. If the movement of a user is known, the reservation and configuration procedure can be limited to the regions of the network a user is likely to visit. Our proposed Proxy-UMP is not sensitive to increase of the search cost than other schemes and shows that the increasing rate of total cost is low as the SMR increases.

Chaos communication system has characteristics of non-periodic, non-predictability, broadband signal and easy implementation. Also, chaos communication system is sensitive to the initial value, because completely another signal is generated when initial value of chaos equation is changed subtly. By these characteristics, security of chaos communication system is generally evaluated better than other digital communication systems. However, BER(Bit Error Rate) performance is worse than other digital communication systems, because transmitter and receiver of existing chaos communication system are strongly influenced by reference signal and noise. So, studies in order to improve the BER performance of chaos communication system is continuously performed. In this paper, We will propose a new CDSK (Correlation Delay Shift Keying) receiver in order to improve the BER performance. After we compare to the performance of existing receiver and proposed receiver, BER performance of proposed receiver evaluate. A novel receiver has characteristic that BER performance is better than existing receiver. However, if existing transmitter is used, existing receiver is possible to recover information bits even though BER performance is bad. Therefore, we propose a novel CDSK transmitter in order to improve the security of proposed receiver. When information bits are transmitted by using proposed transmitter, existing receiver is impossible to recover information bits, and proposed receiver is possible to recover information bits.
