The results are as follows. 1. Degree of senior citizens' knowledge on the oral hygiene is about Middle. Among the categories on the senior citizens' knowledge on the oral hygiene, teeth's brushing was the highest while knowledge on fluorine was the lowest. 2. Senior citizens who feel that their oral health is healthy when it comes to the subjective health state of senior citizens' oral health following behavior for the oral hygiene, brush their teeth, three times in a day, for more than three minutes (p<.01). Moreover, senior citizens who feel that their oral health is healthy brush different corners of the tongue when brushing (p<.01). 3. In case of knowledge on the oral hygiene following general characteristics, knowledge on the oral hygiene was higher when economic status was higher (p<.01). In case of living expenses, knowledge on the oral hygiene was higher for the senior citizens with pay or income (p<.01). 4. In case of behavior for the oral hygiene, women tended to act for the oral hygiene more than men. As for the method for raising living expenses, senior citizens who receive basic social security check or those at the highest tier tended to act less for the oral hygiene (p<.01). 5. Senior citizens who answered that their oral health is healthy when it comes to the subjective health state of senior citizens' oral cavity tended to have high knowledge on the oral hygiene (p<.01). In conclusion, subjective health status of senior citizens' oral health is higher when the knowledge on the oral hygiene and behavior for the oral hygiene are higher. Accordingly, it is necessary to develop and execute oral hygiene training program to change senior citizens' behavior incrementally and the dental hygienists who can conduct this training should be actively attracted into the senior citizens' oral hygiene training.

Purpose: This research is to understand the effects of senior simulation on employees of elderly care facilities and utilize it in their job training. Methods: This research is a nonequivalence control group pre-to-post quasiexperiment research. 18 employees who have experienced senior simulation are set as test group and 18 other employees who have not experienced senior simulation are set as control group. Results: The hypothesis that 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in their attitude on elderly care, compared to the control group' and 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in understanding of elders, compared to the control group' was supported. The hypothesis that 'the test group which has experienced senior simulation will show a positive change in job satisfaction and performance of duties, compared to the control group' was dismissed. Conclusion: The senior simulation seems to contribute to elderly care facilities employees' change in their viewpoints of elders and broaden their understanding of them. The senior simulation was meaningful to provide basic help with implementing job training programs.
This paper describes two capstone senior design courses for the Mechanical Engineering program at University of the Pacific. The first course taught in the Fall semester is entitled "Engineering Design/Senior Project I." The second course taught in the Spring semester is entitled "Engineering Design/Senior Project II." All Mechanical Engineering students with senior standing are required to take these two classes in this sequence. At the end of every Spring semester, industrial advisors are invited to assess the final senior projects during an annual Senior Project Day. This assessment is performed using the Program Outcomes and Program Educational Objectives established for Pacific's Mechanical Engineering program. Since all Mechanical Engineering students are required to complete senior projects, this is a 100% evaluation process. After the evaluations are done, the data sets are compiled and reviewed by the faculty for assessment purposes. It is important to note that the industrial advisors perform the evaluations, but the faculty members assess the information to determine if modifications need to be made to the program or courses. In addition to the senior project evaluations, general feedback from Mechanical Engineering Industrial Advisory Committee (MEIAC) members is also useful for the outcomes-based assessment process in addition to the definition and evaluation of Program Outcomes and Program Educational Objectives.
Purpose - This study surveys factors such as lifestyles, nutritional status, physical indicators, and physical fitness levels that affect the health of seniors over the age of 65 and based on the collected data attempts to create a senior health index model that provides health service information, help support seniors' successful aging, and improve their quality of life. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper conducted the development for senior health index model and the cross validity verification to examine the status of senior health level, and aimed at setting the health status evaluation criteria. Seniors 384 usable data were analyzed. Results - As an attempt to segment the senior health service market, I divided the results of this study based on measurability, accessibility, disparity between groups, and the size of the potential client base. I divided the senior market into five subgroups: very healthy, healthy, normal, weak, and very weak. Conclusions - The findings of this study may prove useful in preparing for the forthcoming super-aged society through segmentation of the senior market, understanding differences between groups with different health conditions, and discovering effective marketing strategies that meet the demands of different senior groups.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify the needs of the senior welfare center users of the health service program, and to establish a plan to adjust the health service functions of the senior center. Methods: A survey of 2,130 users of the Gyeonggi-do Senior Welfare Center was conducted from May 28 to June 30, 2018. Results: The major results of the study are as follows. First, 66.8 percent of senior welfare center users were willing to participate in health care. The requirement for health service programs was 3.87 points out of 5 points followed by cognitive ability improvement programs, senior movement programs, and chronic disease programs in lower areas. Second, the factors affecting the needs of health care service programs of senior welfare center users had a significant impact on women; the younger the age, the better the subjective health condition; the higher the number of medical conditions, the lower the out-of-patient experience; the longer the welfare center isused, the more people are willing to participate in healthcare. Conclusions: We believe that there is a need for social service policies and management to better understand the situation of senior citizens who are demanding various services due to illness and to integrate health and welfare services.
