Also, this study investigates the feasibility of farming and understands the strategies of rice agribusiness development. This study was conducted in several places in East Java of Indonesia, covering the district of Blitar, Kediri, Bondowoso, Tulungagung, and Malang. The data were collected through a structured questionnaire and focus group discussion. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using efficiency analysis, revenues analysis, and SWOT analysis. The findings indicated that, technically, the district of Bondowoso, Malang, Kediri, and Tulungagung had implemented the organic systems, while the district of Blitar applied under semi-organic systems. The pattern of economic institutions of agribusiness commodity consists of the production facility, farming, post-harvest and product processing, marketing, and support services institutional. These results showed that the organic rice farming is economically viable, and the government support was provided in the form of the establishment of development centers, the facilitation of agricultural machines, integrated crop management field school, and the organic certification. These findings suggest that several places in East Java have prospective opportunities for production of rice agribusiness development.
Purpose - The paper aims to explore the critical and uncover issues encountered to the supply-chain companies in launching halal based services in India. Research design, data, and methodology - After a meticulous review of relevant literature on the halal concept and halal logistics, researchers involved in a data collection by conducting semi-structured focus group interviews. Four groups with a maximum of 5 members each have chosen from the areas of transportation, warehousing, certification, and packaging. A total of 20 questionnaires were collected by applying purposive sampling method. Results - More than 95 percent of the chosen focus groups agreed that they know only about halal but don't have any exposure to halal logistics. The discussion has revealed that the adoption rate for halal transportation, warehousing, halal certification, and packaging is almost zero. The respondents were chosen only from transportation, warehousing, certification and packaging companies from south India which are operating throughout India. This research never attempts to be acquainted with the opinions of channel members who directly or indirectly involved in meeting customer demands. Conclusions - This is a ground-breaking effort aimed to study the critical issues related to Indian halal logistics which is beneficial to both logistic companies as well as to the academic world.

This study examines the current situation of responsibility accounting and proposed management solutions according to responsibility centers on public universities in Vietnam. The study applies quantitative research methods, and collected data through structured questionnaires to 138 public universities in Vietnam in 2019, receiving back 55 valid questionnaires. The data was cleaned and analyzed with SPSS software. The results show that most public universities in Vietnam assigned management responsibility to their departments, but responsibility accounting was not comprehensive since many universities are not financially autonomous. The Kruskal Wallis Test was conducted to compare the current situation of responsibility accounting among universities by the degree of autonomy and by geographic area. The research found out that totally autonomous universities assigned management responsibility to responsibility centers better than semi-autonomous and non-autonomous universities did. Regarding the evaluation of management responsibility, universities in Central Vietnam rated specific quantitative criteria, residual income (RI) and returns on investment (ROI) higher than universities in the North and the South of Vietnam did. However, universities in the South of Vietnam rated the evaluation of profits by department higher than the rest. The study also suggests structure for establishing responsibility centers in accordance with public universities in Vietnam.

Using primary data collected through semi-structured interviews conducted during February 2019, this article examines citizen's awareness and knowledge of Khon Kaen Smart City (KKSC) among the residents of five contiguous municipalities within Khon Kaen Province, Thailand. A self-weighted sample of 420 respondents was selected through a two-stage, 30-cluster sampling process. In the first stage, a sample of 30 artificial clusters of 100 households each was selected. In the second, 14 households were randomly selected from each of these clusters. The head of household or, if unavailable, a resident aged 18 or over was interviewed. The study applies the "citizens as democratic participants" dimension of Simonofski et al.'s (2019) evaluative framework. Results found that, because of ineffective citizen engagement, the levels of awareness and knowledge about KKSC were low. However, multiple logistic regression found that, despite the low levels of awareness and knowledge, education and income could establish an independent effect on awareness of KKSC. Those who completed post-secondary school were more aware of KKSC than those who finished only secondary or primary education. Similarly, the analysis of data clearly indicated that educational attainment, solely and independently from all other socio-economic and demographic variables, could explain the positive effect of education on knowledge about KKSC.
This study examines the impact of online collaborative English language learning to enhance learner motivation and classroom engagement in university English instruction. The role of learner motivation and classroom engagement has gained much attention under the premises of current constructivist framework of English as a foreign language education. To promote learner motivation and classroom interaction in English instruction, participants in this study engaged in integrative English learning activities through online group collaboration and peer-tutoring. They exchanged productive peer response and shared their learning experiences throughout the integrative English learning activities. Digital technology played an integral role in motivating the learning process of the participants. Data for this study were gathered through an online questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed based on the ARCS motivational model of instructional design to identify the motivational aspects of integrative English learning activities. This study reveals that participants of this study regarded online collaborative English learning activities as the positive and motivating learning experience. The online collaborative English reading instruction had positive effect on improving EFL university students' learning performance. Participants of this study also identified affective and metacognitive benefits of online collaborative EFL learning activities for learner motivation and classroom engagement. This study reveals that the social networking platform in online group collaboration played a crucial role for the participants in understanding the integration of online group collaboration as the positive and effective language learning strategy. This study may have implications in suggesting the effective instructional design for promoting learner motivation and classroom interaction in EFL education.
Purpose: To explore the experiences of parenting from the mothers of children with severe CHD and to develop a grounded theory about their experiences. Method: Grounded theory method guided the data collection and analysis. A purposeful sample of 16 mothers of children with severe CHD participated during the period 2003. The data were collected by semi-structured individual interviews. Results: "Raise with dignity" emerged as the core phenomenon. 'Powerlessness' came up as the central concept. The causal conditions working on powerlessness was 'living with a bomb in the heart': uncertainty and the context were 'confronting people's eyes', 'developing child's adaptability'. An intervening condition was 'forming a support system' and consequences for coping with powerlessness were 'overcome' or 'ambivalence' using the strategies for mother's positive personality, care role perception, accepting, acknowledgement, and managing the body and mind. Conclusions: In the results of this study, the mothers of children with severe CHD are continue to struggle with life during children's growth and repeated attacks of disease. They need to be provided with skills to cope with physical and mental problems in rearing the children with expertized information for the entire period of growth.
This study is conducted to understand the meanings and nature of the experience of the physically abused children. This is a phenomenological study utilizing van Manen's method to present the children's inner world. The participants for this study were 10 children, in the age of 8 to 12, who were physically abused by their parents. Data were collected by using semi-structured interviews by the workers who regurally contacted children at the service agencies. Data were analyzed by using 'line by line' reflection by two graduate level students and by the researcher. Eight essential themes were drawn and used for the phenomenological understanding which reveals the meanings given by the children experiencing abuse. There were some suggestions for the abuse counsellors based on these findings.
The purpose of this study was to provide information for research about residents' opinion toward the physical environments of elderly facilities, through the analysis and investigation on the research methodology of foreign academic journal articles from 1990 to 2014. The study results were as follows: Firstly, purposive sampling was a large majority of both facilities and elderly residents. In quantitative studies, many researchers have conducted simple random, cluster, or stratified sampling. Diverse facilities in area, size, location, and etc. should be considered for participation. The qualifications for residents' participation should be considered as well, so that they all could have autonomy for study participation. Secondly, questionnaire and semi-structured guide were likely to be used in independent and resident care facilities. On the other hand in assisted living and long-term care facilities, open questions and visual material were used as well. A compatible scale should be developed so that elderly having variable functional level could participate independently in the study. Thirdly, in data collection process, compliance with research ethics and well trained interviewer's skill were important for residents' active responses and minimization of response errors. Enough research period of time and mixed study in data collection will decrease the response error.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore essences and meanings of using oral contraceptives among adult women. Methods: The interview was conducted with 20 adult women who lived in Seoul, Gyeongi Province, Jeolla Province, Chungcheong Province, and Gangwon Province. Participants with the experience of using oral contraceptives for contraception were selected by convenience sampling. Semi-structured interviews were conducted for data collection. The data were analyzed using Colaizzi's method. Results: Five themes revealed: 'Lack of information and knowledge regarding oral contraceptives', 'Inconvenient and difficult purchase process of oral contraceptives', 'Pressure and fear regarding other people's reaction', 'Self-centered thinking toward the use of oral contraceptives', 'A need for a change in public awareness and policy'. Conclusion: A change in society's perception about oral contraceptives is required for safe contraceptives use. Therefore, it is necessary to educate the correct usage of oral contraceptives, and to develop a program for changing the paradigm of sex education.
The main purposes of this study were to investigate the content of health behaviors and to examine factors influencing the health behaviors of the elderly. Data regarding the health behavior of 126 people over 65 years of age living in community settings were used. All subjects were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of sociodemographic variables, health behaviors, present chronic disease, subjective health status, a scale for worthy life, a scale for self-esteem, and a scale for loneliness. Health behaviors included 27questions on diet, exercise, stress-coping, smoking, drinking, a regular medical check-up, social activities, etc. The data analysis procedure included stepwise regression using health behavior as the dependent variable, and sociodemographics, illness, and psychosocial variables as independent variables. Stepwise regression revealed that factors such as feelings of worthy life($\beta$=-0.350, p<0.0001), communicating with otjers or the lack there of ($\beta$=0.183, p<0.05), and self-esteem($\beta$=0.196, p<0.05) were independently and significantly associated with health behaviors. For example, individuals who showed higher levels of worthy life and who had confiding relationships with others tended to practice more health behaviors. Subjects who had a higher level of self-esteem showed the same tendency. These results suggest the necessity of a intervention that considers psychosocial aspects should be included in care of the elderly so as to promote positive health behavior.
