  • Typical semantic search query for Semantic search promises to provide more accurate result than present-day keyword matching-based search by using the knowledge base represented logically. Existing keyword-based retrieval system is Preference for the semantic interpretation of a user's query is not the meaning of the user keywords of interconnect, you can not search. In this paper, we propose a method that can provide accurate results to meet the user's search intent to user preference based evaluation by ranking search. The proposed scheme is Integrated ontology-based knowledge base built on the formal structure of the semantic interpretation process based on ontology knowledge base system.

  • To effectively manage research information in the field of national defense, metadata about the information should be managed systematically, and an integrated system to help convergence and management of the information should be implemented based on the metadata. In addition, the system should provide the users with effective integrated search services in a mobile environment, because searching via the use of mobile devices is increasing. The objective of this paper is to suggest a MSISS (Mobile Semantic Integrated Search System), which satisfies the requirements for effective management of the national defense research information. Specifically, we defined national defense research ontologies and national defense research rules after analyzing the Dublin Core metadata and database information of the major military research institutions. We implemented a prototype system for MSISS to demonstrate the use of the ontologies and rules for semantic integrated searching of the military research information. We also presented a triple-based search service to support semantic integrated search in a mobile environment and suggested future mobile semantic integrated search services.

  • For semantic search methods to provide more accurate results than keyword-based search in a logical representation that uses a knowledge base are being studied. Than most of the user to use formal query language and schema used to interpret the meaning of a user keyword. In this paper, we propose to expand the user query for semantic search. In the proposed system, user query expansion component and a component to adjust the results to interpret user queries to take advantage of the knowledge base associated with a search term. Finally, a user query semantic interpretation, the proposed scheme to verify the experimental results of the prototype system is described.

  • The semantic web environment promise semantic search of heterogeneous data from distributed web page. Semantic search would resuit in an overwhelming number of results for users is increased, therefore elevating the need for appropriate personalized ranking schemes. Culture Finder helps semantic web agents obtain personalized culture information. It extracts meta data for each web page(culture news, culture performance, culture exhibition), perform semantic search and compute result ranking point to base user profile. In order to work efficient, Culture Finder uses five major technique: Machine learning technique for generating user profile from user search behavior and meta data repository, an efficient semantic search system for semantic web agent, query analysis for representing query and query result, personalized ranking method to provide suitable search result to user, upper ontology for generating meta data. In this paper, we also present the structure used in the Culture Finder to support personalized search service.

  • This paper presents an efficient semantic service discovery scheme called UbiSearch for a large-scale ubiquitous computing environment. A semantic service discovery network in the semantic vector space is proposed where services that are semantically close to each other are mapped to nearby positions so that the similar services are registered in a cluster of resolvers. Using this mapping technique, the search space for a query is efficiently confined within a minimized cluster region while maintaining high accuracy in comparison to the centralized scheme. The proposed semantic service discovery network provides a number of novel features to evenly distribute service indexes to the resolvers and reduce the number of resolvers to visit. Our simulation study shows that UbiSearch provides good semantic searchability as compared to the centralized indexing system. At the same time, it supports scalable semantic queries with low communication overhead, balanced load distribution among resolvers for service registration and query processing, and personalized semantic matching.

  • The Semantic Web enables machines to achieve an effective retrieval, integration, and reuse of web resources. The keyword search method currently used has a limit to accurate search results because of a simple string matching method in web environment. This paper proposes an Ontology-Based Information Retrieval which can solve the problems and retrieve better search results through semantic relations. In this system, we implemented the Cultural Assets Ontology based on OWL with RDQL and Jena API. we also suggest a method to handle properties stored in a database.

  • Semantic search recently been used in the search field. POI is one of the most essential information that make up the geographic information, and many of the geographic information system has POI search function as a basic. In this study, we propose POI semantic search using collective intelligence. For this, we designed and implemented service that constructs empirical information from tag and image, and provides an intuitive spatial navigation experience. For POI search, collective intelligence platform that many users can participate to collect variety information was designed and implemented.

  • Today, according to tremendous development of B2B e-commerce, B2B e-marketplaces which accomplish various types of transactions through a number of buyers and sellers on online are embossed importantly. However, buyers are unable to search correct products because of inconsistency of product information between buyers and sellers. This paper solved this problem as semantic web technology. Semantic Web is an extension of current Web in which information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation. The Semantic Web aims at machine-processable information. Its underlying technologies are RDF, RDF Schema, and ontology as the shared formal conceptualization of particular domains. In this paper, we present an implementation of Semantic Web enabled search system for B2B E-Marketplace domains. The system exploits OWL as the standard ontology language proposed by W3C and the Jena which is a Semantic Web toolkit, namely a Java framework writing Semantic Web applications. Finally, we summarize our experiences and discuss future research topics.

  • In this study, an Intermediary System for Searches has been designed and implemented. This System has some key functions as follows: First, in each stage of a search process, the information related to a definite term could be provided. Second, through displaying semantic categories for terms this system 'helps a searcher in modifying search terms when he fails to retrieve. Third, being consulted, this system could assist a searcher in making a Boolean search statement in terms of search specificity Fourth, to make a final search statement, a searcher could have several rounds of search cycles through displaying related terms, semantic categories, and frames.

  • Since the ambitious declaration of the vision of the Semantic Web, a growing number of studies on semantic search have recently been made. However, we recognize that our community has not so much accomplished despite those efforts. We analyze two underlying problems : a lack of a shared notion of semantic search that guides current research, and a lack of a comprehensive view that envisions future work. Based on this diagnosis, we start by defining semantic search as the process of retrieving desired information in response to user's input using semantic technologies such as ontologies. Then, we propose a classification framework in order for the community to obtain the better understanding of semantic search. The proposed classification framework consists of input processing, target source, search methodology, results ranking, and output data type. Last, we apply our proposed framework to prior studies and suggest future research directions.
