NAMA: A Context-Aware Multi-Agent Based Web Service Approach to Proactive Need Identification for Personalized Reminder System (NAMA: 개인화된 상기 시스템 구축에서의 선응적인 욕구 파악을 위한 상황인지가 가능한 다중 에이전트 웹서비스 접근법)

  • Developing a personalized system on a user's behalf which is working around the Internet-based marketplace is one of the challenging issues in intelligent e-business, especially mobile commenrce. It has been highly recommended that such a mobile personalized system has to perceive the user's needs a priori by tracking user's current context such as location with activity and then to identify the current needs dynamically and proactively. Automatically and unobtrusively getting user's context is an inevitable feature for the development of autonomous mobile commenrce. However, personalization methodologies and their feasible architectures for context-aware mobile commerce have been so far very rare. Hence, this paper aims to propose a context-aware mobile commerce development methodology by applying agent and semantic web technologies for personalized reminder system, which is one of the mobile commerce support system. We revisited associationism to understand a buyer's need identification process and adopt the process as 'purchase based on association' to implement a personalized reminder system. Based on this approach, we have showed how the agent-based semantic web service system can be used to realize need-aware reminder system. NAMA(Need-Aware Multi-Agent), a prototype system, has been implemented to show the feasibility of the methodology and framework under mobile setting proposed in this paper. NAMA embeds bluetooth-based location tracking module and identify what a user is currently looking at through her/his mobile device such as PDA. Based on these capabilities, NAMA considers the context, user profile with preferences, and information about currently available services, to aware user's current needs and then link her/him to a set of services, which are implemented as web services.

  • Since the amount of available Web Services keeps growing and thus the problem occurs - how to find an appropriate web service matching the requirements amongst the vast majority of available. This research sets the following objective to be accomplished: to assist proper service selection by semantically describing customer's goals and provider's web service capability by means of carefully designed ontologies and logical expressions, and illustrate matching cases of customer's requirements and web services capabilities.

  • Web 2.0 and Semantic Web technology will be merged to be a next generation Web that leads presentation-oriented Web to data-centric Web. In the next generation Web. semantic processing. Web Platform, and data fusion are most important technology factors. Resolving the Link Rot is the one of the essential technologies to enable these features. The Link Rot causes not only simple annoyances to users but also more serious problems including data integrity. loss of knowledge. breach of service. and so forth. We have suggested a new XRI-based persistent Web link architecture to cure the Link Rot that has been considered as a deep-seated Problem of the Web. The Proposed architecture is based on the XRI suggested by OASIS and it is designed to support a persistent link by using URL rewriting. Since the architecture is designed as a server-side technology, it is superior to existing research especially in Interoperability. Transparency and Adoptability. In addition to this, the architecture provides a metadata identification to be used fer context-aware link resolution.

Comparative Reliability Evaluation on Semantic Service Platforms (시맨틱 서비스 플랫폼상에서의 신뢰성 비교 평가)

  • While numerous information services are provided on the Web as a core infrastructure of information society, semantic services using the Semantic Web technologies still stay deployed number and application range. This situation would be mainly originated from the failure of securing reliability to the user. Thus, this paper introduces an evaluation method for measuring reliabilities of the semantic services comparatively. To measure the reliability of the compared systems, the observer assesses 'precision in task performance' as a quantitative analysis and 'reliability of expectation-result' as a qualitative analysis described by the test persons. On the other hand, the test person should rate the functional reliability and reliability of the served information on the vector graph by himself with a scale from 0 to 5. Experimental results show that assessment by the observer is very similar to rating value by test persons, and that the accuracy of the served information has a close effect on the functional reliability. Through this paper, we can verify the essential factors for evaluating the reliability of semantic service systems. These are functional reliability and reliability of served information resulting from function execution. In particular, it has been proven that the reliability of the semantic information services largely influences the "Quality in Use" and therefore determines the major factors of the semantic service reliability.

  • Due to heterogeneity in Data and Processes, healthcare systems are facing the challenge of interoperability. This heterogeneity results in different healthcare workflows of each individual organization. The compatibility of these heterogeneous workflows is possible when standards are followed. HL7 is one of the standards that is used for communicating medical data between healthcare systems. Its newer version V3 is providing semantic interoperability which is lacking in V2. The interoperability in HL7 V3 is only limited to data level and process level interoperability needs to be catered. The process level interoperability is achieved only when heterogeneous workflows are aligned. These workflows are very complex in nature due to continuous change in medical data resulting in problems related to maintenance and degree of automation. Semantic technologies plays important role in resolving the above mentioned problems. This research work is based on the integration of semantic technology in HL7 V3 standard to achieve semantic process interoperability. Web Service Modeling Framework (WSMF) is used for incorporating semantics in HL7 V3 processes and achieves seamless communication. Interaction Ontology represents the process artifacts of HL7 V3 and helps in achieving automation.

  • The exponential growth of the Internet usage has motivated the launching of many commercial business web sites. Internet as a purchasing medium shows several unique characteristics because of its customer- driven technologies and absence of physical products. Thus, new commercial medium provokes a reclassification of products. Twenty five types of commercial Products are empirically tested in the Internet retailing and found to be grouped into four categories. This classification framework is investigated in the view of involvement and web technology Furthermore, this paper proposes four business web implementation strategies - impressive, simple, sensory, and semantic - based on the product classification. Proposed guidelines on business web might increase customer satisfaction.

  • Researchers and scientists spend huge amount of time in analyzing the previous studies and their results. In order to timely take the advantageous position, they usually analyze various resources such as paper, patents, and Web documents on recent research issues to preoccupy newly emerging technologies. However, it is difficult to select invest-worthy research fields out of huge corpus by using the traditional information search based on keywords and bibliographic information. In this paper, we propose a method for efficient creation, storage, and utilization of semantically relevant information among technologies, products and research agents extracted from 'big data' by using text mining. In order to implement the proposed method, we designed an ontology that creates technological knowledge for semantic web environment based on the relationships extracted by text mining techniques. The ontology was utilized for InSciTe Adaptive, a R&D trends analysis and forecast service which supports the search for the relevant technological knowledge.

  • Information systems in current corporations are managing and storing large data officially happened on individual and various databases. Corporations for migrating the stored data from these individual databases are adopting with technologies of EAI, MDR, DW etc.. However these technologies are not only required to expenses introduction charge and maintenance cost but also have problems of heterogeneous environment required per each vender In this paper, to solve problems of these current existing technologies, we propose to design our data migration system to migrate source data and semantic constraint condition between heterogeneous relation databases based on web service. As corporations use web services, they can reduce introduction expense and maintenance cost because of using current existent web environment. Each system can independently migrate XML based data against any platform, system environment, and Implementation language.

  • There have been numerous research and development efforts to automate business processes or execute business processes automatically. Especially, Web service is considered to be one of the most promising technologies. Existing Web service composition languages such as BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) and BPML (Business Process Modeling Language) do not provide full semantic support for business processes. This paper proposes a 3-layer model that consists of business process layer and service layer which can seamlessly integrates business process semantics with service semantics. The proposed model and architecture will enable effective management of business processes as well-defined corporate assets, services that execute tasks to achieve goals of business processes, and software components that comprise services.

  • 인터넷의 발전 과정에서 데이터 중심의 시맨틱 웹 기술과 서비스 중심의 웹 서비스 기술은 시맨틱 웹 서비스라는 융합기술로 발전하고 있다. 본 고에서는 시맨틱 웹 서비스의 핵심 기술인 어노테이션, 발견, 조합, 실행, 중재 기술에 대해 소개하고, 산업계와 학계의 연구 동향을 분석한다. 더불어 시맨틱 웹 서비스 기술이 융복한 서비스 발전에 미치는 영향을 간략히 고찰하고자 한다.
