e-비즈니스 구현 모델에 관한 연구 : 가구산업 중심으로 (A Study on e-Business Establishment Model : Furniture Industry)

  • This study aims to explore the ways of reinforcing the competitive edge and substance of company through e-business in furniture industry by presenting the e-business model of furniture industry which faces the opportunity of challenge in the course of industrial restructuring. e-business model can take various types depending on the environment, feature and competitive edge that each company faces. For example, it is general in the fields of manufacturing company to study the model by dividing into Sell Side for sales to the customers, and Buy Side for purchase of raw materials, Integrating both sides. In furniture industry, Sell Side has the feature of giving a priority in the quality and price rather than brand image in the purchase type of consumer. Especially, it shall not be overlooked that majority of furniture is delivered to the consumer indirectly through the construction company. As such, e-business should be promoted in a way to expand the point of contact for consumers, rather than to construct its own point of contact for consumers. The percentage of importation of raw lumber is high and the standardization was insufficient in Buy Side.

Do Analyst Practices and Broker Resources Affect Target Price Accuracy? An Empirical Study on Sell Side Research in an Emerging Market

  • This paper attempts to measure the impact of non-financial factors including analyst practices and broker resources on performance of sell side research. Results reveal that these non-financial factors have a measurable impact on performance of target price forecasts. Number of pages written by an analyst (surrogate for analyst practice) is significantly and directly linked with target price accuracy indicating a more elaborate analyst produces better target price forecasts. Analyst compensation (surrogate for broker resource) is significantly and inversely linked with target price accuracy. Out performance by analysts working with lower paying firms is possibly associated with motivation to migrate to higher paying broking firms. The study finds that employing more number of analysts per research report has no significant impact on target price accuracy -negative coefficient indicates that team work may not result in better target price forecasts. Though insignificant, long term forecast horizon negatively affects target price accuracy while stock volatility improves target price accuracy.

An Analysis of Trade Areas for Apparel Stores in Seoul - Based on Myeong-dong, Kangnam Station and Myeongil-dong -

  • The purpose of this study is to provide information how to locate a apparel store based on target age, merchandise's type and price. Three trade areas in Seoul are chosen: Myeong-dong which is the biggest trade area in Korea; Kangnam station one of representative Kangnam trade areas; and Myeongil-Dong a neighborhood trade area. This study is mainly performed by analysing the locations of the stores in the given areas. The result shows that the main apparel stores in Myeong-dong are casual wear stores for young people with the range of mid-high price. The stores in Kangnam station trade area also sell the casual wear for young people but they are mostly mid-low priced. In the trade area of Myeongil-dong, however, there are various kinds of mid-priced apparel stores for residents of all ages. Apparel stores for formal wear, casual wear, and formal-casual wear tend to be located side by side. But other kinds do not. These results show that affinity is found in some types of apparel stores by the analysis of the next-door apparel stores.

탈북자 면접을 통한 북한 주민의 건강과 식품섭취 실태 탐색 (A Glance at the Health Status and Food Intake of North Koreans)

  • We performed this study to understand the health status and food intake of North Koreans. Information was collected by individual closed in-depth interviews of 11 escapers from North Korea as well as books, newspapers and North Korean movies. Interviews were done from October, 1996 to May, 1997, covering their heights and weights, their appearance and disease, food system and intake of various main/side foods, concern about health and hygiene. North Korean's height and BMI were lower than those of South Koreans. Difference of BMIs between North and South Koreans was profound in middle aged women than in other age groups. Childrem showed many malnutrition appearances of moon face, large abdomem, arrow-like legs, flaky skin, decolored hair, etc.. Main foods in North Korea were rice-shaped corn, corn flour, wheat flour and wet noodle, and side foods were kimchi and/or soups and steamed soy paste. Food supply system there seemed not to work normally for many years, so foods, especially in cities, has been extremely short in government-operating shops, but some in private market. Many housewives were eager to make and sell simple snack food products, We noticed that North korea schools didn't check students' health even though their medical policy was based on preventive medicine. Their living environmental hygiene was shown to be oyt of control.

How Do Advisors Influence Mergers and Acquisitions?: An Analysis of Acquisitions in Japan

  • The objective of this study is to examine the differentiated influence of sell-side advisors and buy-side advisors on mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Unlike prior studies on M&A advisors, the study addresses different roles of target and acquirer advisors, and explores their influences on the cumulative abnormal returns (CAR) and acquisition premiums with an empirical analysis of longitudinal data of M&As conducted by Japanese listed firms except financial companies from 1995 to 2012. M&A data were obtained from the Securities Data Corporation's (SDC) database, and the individual firm data were collected from the Nikkei Economic Electronic Databank System (NEEDS), which provides a wide range of corporate information including financial status, operational performance, and strategy. Using a sample of 452 cases for the CAR and 498 cases for the analysis of acquisition premiums, the empirical results support the hypotheses of the target advisor's positive association with CAR and acquirer advisor's positive association with acquisition premiums. The findings of this study indicate the target advisor's positive contribution to the success of acquisition process and performance, and acquirer advisor's negative influence on the deal progress. The study provides theoretical implications on M&A research and practical insights into the investment banking industry.

도시개발 여건을 고려한 울란바타르 건설사업 참여방안 (Implementation of the Urban Development Projects in Ulaanbaatar)

  • 본 논문은 최근 지속적인 경제성장을 보이고 있는 몽골의 수도 울란바타르시를 대상으로 개발여건 검토와 이를 바탕으로 현지 실정을 고려한 효과적인 도시개발사업 참여방안을 제시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 몽골의 경우, 구리 금 등 풍부한 지하자원과 높은 교육수준이 장점인 반면, 도로 철도 등 기반시설 미비와 인구 260만명의 협소한 내수시장이 단점으로 나타났다. 울란바타르시는 지속적 인구유입으로 향후 개발압력이 높을 것으로 예상되는 한편, 도로, 상 하수도, 전력, 난방 등 기반시설의 개선 또한 시급한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 몽골의 토지제도를 분석한 결과, 몽골의 토지권리는 소유권 및 임차권, 사용권이 공존하고 있는 상황이며, 이에 따른 권리에 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 몽골에 진출한 우리나라 개발사업자의 사업방식을 검토하고, 이를 토대로 울란바타르시 개발사업에 참여하기 위한 현실적 방안으로서 부지조성 후 토지분양 방식과 부지조성 및 건축 후 직접분양 방식을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 더불어 사업참여시 고려해야 할 사항으로서 토지매각 가능성 제고와 수익성 확보를 위한 적정 매각가격 책정, 수익성 토지의 적정 매수자 발굴, 몽골 정부의 지분투자 및 원리금 지급보증, 몽골주택금융공사를 통한 분양안정성 확보 등을 제시하였다.

온라인 주식게시판 정보가 주식투자자의 거래행태에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Information on Stock Message Boards on Stock Trading Behaviors of Individual Investors based on Order Imbalance Analysis)

  • 지금까지 수행된 연구들은 온라인 주식게시판 정보가 주식시장 활동에 미치는 영향의 유무만을 보이는 것에 초점을 맞추었으며, 온라인 주식게시판 정보가 주식투자자에게 매수 의도를 갖도록 하는지, 혹은 매도 의도를 갖도록 하는지에 대해서 연구되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 온라인 주식게시판 정보가 주로 주식투자자의 어떠한 거래행태를 불러일으키는지 확인하는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 온라인 주식게시판 정보로서 주식 게시물 수를 온라인 구전활동 정도로 보았으며, 매수 및 매도 거래행태로서 주문불균형을 주식투자자의 거래방향성으로 보았다. 그리고 이를 기반으로 온라인 주식게시판의 장내 및 장외 주식게시물 수와 주문불균형 간의 상관관계를 확인하였다. 실증분석을 위하여, KOSPI에 상장된 40개 주식종목에 대한 온라인 주식시판으로부터 3개월 동안의 전체 게시물 46,077개를 수집하였고, 코스콤 데이터베이스로부터 해당 주식 종목에 대한 매수 및 매도 주도거래 데이터를 수집하여 절대 거래횟수 주문불균형 데이터를 설정하였다. 수집한 모든 데이터는 종목 및 시간에 따른 균형 패널데이터(balanced panel data)로 구성하였고, 패널 벡터자기 회귀 분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 살펴보면, 온라인 주식게시판의 1, 2일 전(t-1, t-2) 장내 게시물 수는 당일 주문불균형에 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 온라인 주식게시판의 1일 전(t-1) 장외 게시물 수는 당일 주문불균형에 양의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 온라인 주식게시판 정보는 주식투자자에게 주로 주식매수 결정에 영향을 미치는 것으로 보여 졌으며, 온라인 주식게시판 정보는 주로 해당 주식을 매수하도록 하는 감성(strong buy or buy sentiment)의 속성을 가진 것으로 추정되었다. 이러한 실증분석 결과를 바탕으로 정보시스템 및 재무행태학 부문의 학술적, 실무적 기여점을 제시한다.

건설업에 있어서의 품질개선을 위한 평가방식의 고찰 (A Proposal for Quality Improvement by Evaluation System in the Construction Industry)

  • 제조업에서는 품질관리가 잘 이루어지고 있는 가운데 우리나라 건설업에서는 1996년에 성수대교의 파괴 1997년의 삼풍 백화점의 분괴, 그리고 올해에 들어서도 지하철의 대 화제 등 건설업에 관련된 사건들이 많다. 건설업에 있어서는 품질 관리에 어려움이 많고 제대로 이루어지고 있지 않다. 이것은 제조업에서는 타 업체와 경쟁하기 때문이다. 품질이 안 좋으면 제품이 안 팔리기 때문에 업체는 열심히 품질을 개선하려고 한다. 그러나 주문생산 일품생산의 건설업에서는 제품의 단일성, 복잡성 등의 제반문제와 함께 주문생산 등, 주문을 받기만 하면 일정 규준에 합격만 하면 되기 때문에 더 이상 품질개선에 노력을 기울이지 않는다. 품질을 개선시키기 위해서는 기술적인 측면과, 문화적, 교육적인 측면에 크게 나눌 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 교육적인 측면 특히 평가방식에 대해서 연구하였다. 건설업에서는 어떤 평가가 이루어지고 있으면 품질개선을 위해서는 어떤 평가가 시행되어야 하는지 제지하였다. 지금까지는 건설업의 특수성, 복잡성 때문에 품질평가가 도입되어지지 않았으나, 한국의 건설업의 제품의 질을 높이려고 한다면 지어진 제품의 품질을 평가함으로써 경쟁시키는 것이 유익한 방법이다. 건설업체들이 자사제품의 품질을 개선하려고 수수로 노력을 하게 될 것이다.

Soft-Switching PWM Boost Chopper-Fed DC-DC Power Converter with Load Side Auxiliary Passive Resonant Snubber

  • This paper presents a new circuit topology of high-frequency soft switching commutation boost type PWM chopper-fed DC-DC power converter with a loadside auxiliary passive resonant snubber. In the proposed boost type chopper-fed DC-DC power converter circuit operating under a principle of ZCS turn-on and ZVS turn-off commutation, the capacitor and inductor in the auxiliary passive resonant circuit works as the lossless resonant snubber. In addition to this, the voltage and current peak stresses of the power semiconductor devices as well as their di/dt or dv/dt dynamic stress can be effectively reduced by the single passive resonant snubber treated here. Moreover, it is proved that chopper-fed DC-DC power converter circuit topology with an auxiliary passive resonant snubber could solve some problems on the conventional boost type hard switching PWM chopper-fed DC-DC power converter. The simulation results of this converter are illustrated and discussed as compared with the experimental ones. The feasible effectiveness of this soft witching DC-DC power converter with a single passive resonant snubber is verified by the 5kW, 20kHz experimental breadboard set up to be built and tested for new energy utilization such as solar photovoltaic generators and fuel sell generators.

Unmanned Store, Retailtech and Digital Divide in South Korea

  • Purpose - A work way of 'face to face' or a work way of 'unmanned' is very meaningful trend in contrast of robot as a worker. This paper explored some cases of unmanned terminal and kiosk which has been quickly adopted to fastfood industry in South Korea and researched whether any inconvenience or trouble exists in the level of 'the poor' and 'the aged' or not at the time of 'touching' screen in unmanned store. Research design, data, and methodology -The authors examined a few previous studies in keywords of AmazonGo, kiosk, digital divide, information gap, deregulation, and analyzed some cases of 'unmanned terminal' defines restrictively as all kinds of unmanned device, terminal and equipment including kiosk regardless of any place and type. Results - Promotion strategy of the unhandy and retailers needs to offer 'expansion of education and learning', readiness for the law aspect, reform of kiosk industry and priority of sufficient budge and politic assistance by government side. Conclusions - This paper presented some strategies of eliminating 'digital divide' both for a 'the poor', 'the aged', and for a retailer, so that the former may easily purchase goods on unmanned terminal, and the latter may easily sell the more goods at unmanned store.
