The primary health care(PHC) movement officially began in 1977 when the 30th World Health Oranization(WHO) Assembly adopted a resolution accepting the goal of attaining a level of health that permitted all citizens of the world to live socially and economically productive lives. As a WHO member nation, Korea has endorsed primary health care as a strategy for achieving the goal of Health For All by the Year 2000. However, PHC, with its empasis on broad strategies, community participation, self reliance, and a multidisciplinary health care delivary team, is not the primary strategy for improving the of Korean. The Neuman's systems model has been described as a grand nursing theory. A grand nursing theory consists of a comprehensive conceptual framework that defines broad perspectives for practice. This model is an example of a conceptual framework that provides structure for development and analysis of an individual or group of patients in the community or in an oranization. One of the model's strength is that it can be useed ina variey of setting. So The Neuman's model is used a nursing process format for community health nursing. The Neuman's model is fully congruent with concept and philosophy of today's PHC.

Despite the many significant advances made in robot architecture, the basic approaches are deliberative and reactive methods. They are quite different in recognizing outer environment and inner operating mechanism. For this reason, they have almost opposite characteristics. Later, researchers integrate these two approaches into hybrid architecture. In such architecture, Reactive module also called low-level motion control module have advantage in real-time reacting and sensing outer environment; Deliberative module also called high-level task planning module is good at planning task using world knowledge, reasoning and intelligent computing. This paper presents a framework of the integrated planning and control for mobile robot navigation. Unlike the existing hybrid architecture, it learns topological map from the world map by using MST (Minimum Spanning Tree)-based SOFM (Self-Organizing Feature Map) algorithm. High-level planning module plans simple tasks to low-level control module and low-level control module feedbacks the environment information to high-level planning module. This method allows for a tight integration between high-level and low-level modules, which provide real-time performance and strong adaptability and reactivity to outer environment and its unforeseen changes. This proposed framework is verified by simulation.

Purpose: This paper is a basic study done to establish a theory of health according to Korean culture. The focus is on identifying perceived concepts of health in older Korean women. Method: The Q-method, which is effective in measuring individual subjectivity, was used in this study. Results: Perception of the concept of health was found to have 4 independent types, as follows. 1. Type I : natural & couple-oriented type. Women with this type not only have a naturalistic view of health but also put weight on being couple-centered. 2. Type II: oriental & children-oriented type. These women have traditional oriental views of the world, and are strongly dependent on their children. 3. Type III: western & altruistic type. These women do not agree with oriental concepts of health. They are positive altruists, pursuing the meaning of life. 4. Type IV: modern & self-oriented type. Women with this type not only interpret the concepts of health within western medicine, but also positively accept oriental views of the world. Conclusions: Health concepts of older Korean women are complicated, not only with western-medical concepts of health, but also more strongly complicated with concepts from oriental medicine.

We present the development of a remote observation system runnig on world wide web (WWW). The system consists of a 30cm Schmidt Cassegrain telescope and ST-7 CCD camera. We built the controllers and drivers of the telescope and the control softwares including the network control. The self-developed techniques in the hard wares and softwares can be applied to other projects in Korea. Observers can access the system via WWW home page, to reserve observation times, to send control commands, to retrieve images and various information useful for observation. This system can be widely used by students and amateur astronomers as well as professional astronomers who need a lot of small telescope time.

The Pacific Island Forum that consists of 14 island countries in the South Pacific has long been the focus of keen attention from East Asian countries such as South Korea, Japan and China. The South Pacific area was controlled by Japan right after the First World War. The League of Nations bestowed the right of trusteeship over the region to Japan, one of the victors in the war. However, the U.S. considered the area indispensible for its security interests in the Pacific after victory in the Second World War. With the end of Cold War period, the region again began to gain the competitive attention of Japan, China and Korea. Japan has made efforts to give economic assistance to this region by holding the Japan-Pacific Islands summit every three years. In addition, Japan is promoting a security engagement with this region by dispatching Self Defense Forces with the aim of initiating construction and development projects. In response to Japan's active involvement in the region, China also began to convene a summit meeting with these countries in 2006, making pledges of economic assistance. Furthermore, Chinese civilian companies struck deals of investment with municipal institutions in the region with a view to enhancing China's influence in the region. Japan's and China's active engagement in the region has galvanized South Korea to craft a more effective strategic approach to the region.

Wheat is one of the most important crops in production and consumption. Despite increasing of importance, the self-sufficiency of wheat is less than 2% in Korea. To improve yield potential and broaden the genetic pool of common wheat in Korea, introduction of alien germplasms into the Korean wheat breeding program is suggested. For effective utilization of the germplasm, we introduced total 1,195 germplasms from the world, which were provided by National Plant Germplasm System (NPGS, USDA) and evaluated the yield, field performances and agronomic traits for 8 years. Among 55 countries, germplasms from Canada, Ethiopia, Mexico and United States accounts for 78%, especially germplasms collected from United States accounts for 50%. Yield comparison of germplasms and collected region analysis indicate that the high yielding germplasms are collected from countries or states of particular range of latitude. The combination analysis of the yield and agronomic traits and the geographical information of collected region will be utilized for improving Korean wheat breeding programs.

1950년대부터 시작된 한국의 디자인 진흥은 국가 경제의 발전과 맥락을 같이하며 발전되어왔다. 초창기에는 주로 외국의 디자인 진흥 전략을 베끼는 모방자 수준이었으나, 점차 수정자와 개선자를 거쳐 선구자로서의 위상을 점하고 있다. 이 연구는 이처럼 빠른 기간동안에 후발국의 불리함을 극복하고 디자인선진국을 지향하고 있는 한국의 디자인 진흥 전략을 고찰하였다. 디지털시대를 맞아 나타나고 있는 환경의 변화, 디자인 진흥 본질, 세계디자인 진흥의 발전과정 및 현황 등이 다각적으로 다루어졌다. 이를 토대로 디자인산업기본법(가칭)제정, 한국디자인진흥원(KIDP)의 자생력 강화, 한국디자인진흥재단(가칭)의 설립, 한국디자인단체총연합회(KFDA)의 위상 강화 등 새로운 도약을 위한 과제가 도출되었다.

Gotjawal, Jeju Island, Korea is a lava-formed forest with low soil content that is unique in the world. Around 6 percent of the Jeju Iand is classified as a lava-based specific forest. The forest has been gradually disappearing during the last several decades, with approximately one half having been destroyed. Our study undertakes a detailed analysis of the landscape of the lava subsidence, and describes the fungi, vegetation, and soils of Cheongsu Gotjawal. Soil samples from the Gotjawal were collected, and soil analyses as well as pyrosequencing of the internal transcribed spacer gene for fungal communities were performed. Soil fungal communities are represented by Discisedars, Fusarium, Pleochaeta, and Fuscoporia genera. Endemic vegetation of the Gotjawal includes the plants Pleris critical, Machilus japonica, Quercus glauca, Arachniodes aristata, and Neocheiropteris ensata. Results of soil analysis indicate sandy loam with 31.70% organic matter, and 1.36 mg/kg of total nitrogen. This fundamental information can help understand the invaluable and unique nature of Cheongsu Gotjawal, and the necessity for more studies on Gotjawal.

The pataphysics implemented by digital technology differs from the form of objects in the real world and is used throughout the cultural industry. This study aims to analyze the expression method of pataphysics as applied to modern fashion and derive its impact on the fashion industry. The research analyzes fashion images, shows, films, displays, and e-commerce, since 2016, when pataphysics began to be used in the fashion domain. Pataphysics, created by Alfred Zaire, appeared as an overlapping phenomenon that reflects physical phenomena in the virtual world. The expression method of pataphysics applied to modern fashion was divided into an augmented reality method based on immersion and interaction, a virtual platform-oriented metaverse, and a virtual model expressing a processed self. The influence of pataphysics applied to modern fashion is as follows. In the field of design, pataphysics affects the development of contemplative designs for innovation and creativity. Second, digital technology can expand the role of fashion at the intersection of art and fashion that takes a novel perspective through pataphysics. Third, e-commerce positively affects efficient production and consumption through virtual and economic models. In conclusion, this study's findings are expected to play a positive role in promoting creativity and innovation by introducing new perspectives and ideas into modern fashion through pataphysics.

This study was conducted to analyze the metaverse usage behavior of college students through in-depth interviews and to explore the characteristics of the major metaverse platforms with a focus on keywords. This study derived elements such as metaverse participation activities, real-world order, metaverse system, presence, and self-expression from previous research. This study examined how college students who use the metaverse perceive these variables. We present the following research results: First, the college students who participated in the study showed interest in content with many interactive elements on the metaverse platform and appeared to participate more actively in such content. Second, college students cited the ability to engage in economic activities in the metaverse as their greatest strength. It was expected that social norms applied in the real world would also be applied in the metaverse. Third, the Metaverse system, such as the Metaverse UI, UX, and servers, was found to be a factor that needs to meet users' expectations and hinders immersion. In this study, the characteristics of the metaverse platform were analyzed, focusing on essential keywords from in-depth interviews. The analysis results are as follows: It was expressed with keywords such as Zepeto has 'avatar' and 'personality expression,' Ifland has 'free decoration' and 'communication convenience,' Gathertown has 'movement convenience' and 'video chat.' Roblox has 'game-based' and 'dynamic.'
