The purpose of this study was to compare the nurses' perceptions with the women's about the women's needs in premature labor and to find out how to accomplish effective nursing intervention for the women to cope with their crises in premature labor. The objects of this study consisted of 33 hospitalized mothers in post partum because of premature labor, who were delivered of new born, in four university hospitals, a general hospital and a lower general hospital which has a neonatal intensive care unit in Seoul during 17 days(Oct. 4, 1994 to Oct. 20, 1994) and 32 nurses who have worked at delivery rooms in the hospitals above for 6 months or more, accomplishing nursing intervention. The results of this investigation were as follows : 1) General characteristics of women : Their mean age was 29.4 years(SD 4.37) and the mean of their gestational periods 3 days over 34 weeks(SD 2.48). Most of them were the married(93.9%) and held high school degree or more(93.9%). And some of them were the deligious(68.7%), multiparae(59.4%) and had their jobs(21.2%). The also had hospitalized experience due to premature labor(51.5%), experienced in premature delivery(33.3%), the prental care(78.6%), cesearean section(63.6%), and pregnancies less than twice(62.5%). The most mothers were included in 34 weeks and a day to 37 weeks(60.6%). It was also confirmed that most of the sustaining presences in labor were their husbands(81.2%). 2) General characteristics of nurses : Their mean age was 27.6 years(SD 4.50), and their carrier with the service on the average 6 months over 3 years long(SD 3.63). Numbers of them were staff nurses(84.4%), maiden ladies(71.9%), graduated from junior colleges of nursing(71.9%), and had no experiences in delivery(78.1%).Besides, none of them had experiences in premature labor. 3) The whole mean of needs perceived by pregnant women was identified as 3.086 points and the degree of their perception was given much weight in order of interdependence need(3.14), self concept need(3.11), physical physiologic need(3.09), and role function need(2.74). So it was proved that they regarded interdependence need as being the most important need in crises caused premature labor. 4) The whole mean of needs felt by the nurses was 3.092 points and the degree of their feelings was given much weigh in order of physical physiologic need(3.22), self concept need(3.15), interdependence need(3.06) and role function need(2.75). So it was ascertained that they felt physical physiologic need the most important, differing from the women in it. 5) There were few differences on the degrees of the perceptions that the nurses and the women showed on each of the four parts. 6) On each part of the questionnaires, it was examined that the women felt the need for the fetus to be the most important generally while the nurses perceived the need with the women to be more important than that. 7) The primiparae(40.6%) felt role function need be more important than multiparae(59.4%) (p<0.05), and the women from universities and above(39.4%) perceived self concept need to be more important than those holding the high school degrees and below(60.6%). (p<0.05) 8) The nurses having experience in delivery(21.9%) perceived interdependence need and role function need to be more important than important than those having no experiences(78.1%). (p<0.05) So far most of the nurses have concentrated their efforts on nursing for safety for the women in premature labor hospitalized in delivery rooms. But the women are not satisfied with just it because of having perceived the need for the fetus more important above all. In nursing for the future, therefore, every nurse caring for the women should offer them all the informations that they will want for their fetuses to adapt them to the crises effectively, understanding such their needs and making most of honest and simple terms for them, I insist. Through this study, I'm sure that inquiring into the need of women in premature labor minetely will show the way of more effective nursing interventions in clinic. And I suggest that the various kinds of studies about the more objects be done for the generalization of the results of this study in the future.
Purpose: This study was conducted to better understand the illness experiences and palliative care needs in community-dwelling persons with cardiometabolic diseases. Methods: This qualitative descriptive study was conducted with 11 patients (and three family members) among 28 patients contacted. Interviews were led by the principal investigator in her office or at participants' home depending on their preference. All interviews were digitally recorded and transcribed by a research assistant. The interviews were analyzed by two independent researchers using a conventional method. Results: Participants' ages ranged from 42 to 82 years (nine men and two women). Three themes were identified: (1) same disease, but different illness experiences; (2) I am in charge of my disease(s); (3) preparation for disease progression. Participants were informed of the name of their disease when they were diagnosed, but not provided with explanation of the diagnosis or meant or how to do self-care to delay the disease progression, which increased the feelings of uncertainty, hopelessness and anxiety. Taking medication was considered to be the primary treatment option and self-care a supplemental one. Advanced care plans were considered when they felt the progression of their disease(s) while refraining from sharing it with their family or health care professionals to save their concerns. All participants were willing to withhold life-sustaining treatment without making any preparation in writing. Conclusion: Education on self-care and advanced care planning should be provided to community-dwelling persons with cardiometabolic diseases. A patient-centered education program needs to be developed for this population.
Purpose: This study aims to identify factors that influence middle-aged men's attitude towards death. Methods: The study enrolled 204 middle-aged (range=40~59 years) male residents of Daegu in Korea. Using a structured questionnaire, data were collected in October 4~30, 2010. For data analysis, we used descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheff$\grave{e}$'s test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN 14.0. Results: Participants' attitude towards death significantly differed according to educational level, religion, volunteer activities, and perceived health status. Moreover, their attitude towards death was negatively correlated with life stress and depression and positively correlated with self-esteem, life satisfaction, and coping behavior. The factors influencing the attitude towards death were life satisfaction, daily stress, religion, and depression, which explained approximately 25.7% of the total variance. Conclusion: Middle-aged men perform a crucial role in our society, and their attitude toward death affects how they cope with a situational crisis such as a terminal cancer or withdrawal of life sustaining treatment. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and implement a support program for middle-aged men, which offers them with various strategies to better manage their daily stress and improve their life satisfaction and coping skills.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the social capital supported by social enterprises play a role in ensuring self-sustaining and sustainable growth, and to examine whether the mediating effect of social capital have a central effect on social performance. The results of this study are as follows: Innovation and orientation-to-social-value of social entrepreneurship have positive effects on structural capital, and positive influence on cognitive capital and relational capital, but innovation only has no effect. In addition, social entrepreneurship is partially mediated by structural capital. In the mediating effect between social entrepreneurship and cognitive capital, only the risk-taking and the orientation-to-social-value have a partial mediation effect on cognitive capital. However, only the initiative of relational capital was found to have a full mediating effect. And social capital has a positive effect on social performance as a whole. In conclusion, considering that the realization of economic purpose and other social purpose of social enterprises will help to develop and create jobs in the local community, and that they are engaged in business activities in a poor management environment, to provide policy support for inducing high value-added industries through industry-specific collaborations.
Unlike mouse results, cloning efficiency of nuclear transfer from porcine induced pluripotent stem cells (piPSCs) is very low. The present study was performed to investigate the effect of cell cycle inhibitors on the cell cycle synchronization of piPSCs. piPSCs were generated using combination of six human transcriptional factors under stem cell culture condition. To examine the efficiency of cell cycle synchronization, piPSCs were cultured on a matrigel coated plate with stem cell media and they were treated with staurosporine (STA, 20 nM), daidzein (DAI, $100{\mu}M$), roscovitine (ROSC, $10{\mu}M$), or olomoucine (OLO, $200{\mu}M$) for 12 h. Flow Cytometry (FACs) data showed that piPSCs in control were in G1 ($37.5{\pm}0.2%$), S ($34.0{\pm}0.6%$) and G2/M ($28.5{\pm}0.4%$). The proportion of cells at G1 in DAI group was significantly higher than that in control, while STA, ROSC and OLO treatments could not block the cell cycle of piPSCs. Both of viability and apoptosis were affected by STA and ROSC treatment, but there were no significantly differences between control and DAI groups. Real-Time qPCR and FACs results revealed that DAI treatment did not affect the expression of pluripotent gene, Oct4. In case of OLO, it did not affect both of viability and apoptosis, but Oct4 expression was significantly decreased. Our results suggest that DAI could be used for synchronizing piPSCs at G1 stage and has any deleterious effect on survival and pluripotency sustaining of piPSCs.

The demand for natural gas, which is considered an environmentally friendly energy source, is increasing, and at the same time, the market share of large pipelines for natural gas supply is increasing continuously. On the other hand, the corrosion of such large pipelines reduces the efficiency of natural gas transportation. Therefore, this study aims to establish a strategy for securing the patent rights of related technologies through quantitative analysis of patents on energy-independent high-efficiency corrosion prevention technology for large-scale pipelines for natural gas supply. In this patent technology trend study, Korean, US, Japanese, and European patents filed, published, and registered by June 2018 were analyzed, and a technical classification system and classification criteria were prepared through expert discussion. To use fuel cells as an external power source to prevent the corrosion of natural gas large-scale pipelines, it is believed that rights can be claimed using an energy control system and methods having 1) branch structures of pipeline and facility designs (decompressor/compressor/heat exchanger) and 2) decompression/preheating and pressurization/cooling technology of high pressure natural gas.

This review has dealt with definition, size, history, and status of mesocosm, and also discussed several problems and trouble shootings related to the building of mesocosm, and finally will suggest the future directions of this scientific tool. Due to the restriction of the space, the discussion mainly focused on "the mesocosm building for the soft-bottom ecosystem". The mesocosm is defined as "medium-sized, self-sustaining, and man-controllable ecosystem". This type of studies has already initiated since 1960, but nowadays it expands to the diverse fields of science and technologies, such as toxicology, limnology, environmental sciences and engineering, and even geochemistry. As a scientific tool, the mesocosm requires following aspects; replicability, repeatability, and ecological realism or accuracy. Several technical problems have to be solved for the perfect building of mesocosm. They are known as scaling, composition of seawater/sediment, light intensity, turbulence, hydraulic residence time, and top predator. These trouble shootings are provided at the discussion in detail. In the context, I expect two promising directions in the future; 1. Objectivity based on the diverse statistical methodologies, 2. "Living ecosystem modelling" coordinated with the mathematical modelling. With these, the mesocosm will be more powerful tool for the scientists and engineers to investigate the chemical and the ecological responses to the toxic materials and global climate changes.

This study examined Internet discourse on inter-regional co-prosperity. In particular, the study is interested in the co-prosperity between the Daegu-Gyeongbuk regions. The Internet discourse was searched through a set of four keywords: co-prosperity, economy, business attraction, and cultural tourism. The study also conducted sentiment analysis of YouTube comments to determine how the Internet responds to co-prosperity topics. The findings of the analysis are as follows. First, Internet discourse related to co-prosperity has evolved from abstract concepts to concrete cooperative measures and policy contents. Second, the discussion of co-prosperity has moved from outside help or support to self-sustaining innate motivation. Finally, YouTube sentiment analysis showed that if co-prosperity efforts between regions are promoted through concrete policy contents, it becomes easier to gain positive responses from citizens and lead a positive policy drive. In this regard, a study on Internet discourse is a useful means to detect citizens' response to inter-regional co-prosperity.
Porous poly(propylene) supported gel polymer electrolytes (GPE) were synthesized by thermal polymerization of DEGDMA [Di(ethylene glycol) dimethacrylate] in electrolyte solutions (1 M solution of $LiPF_6$ in EC/DEC 1 : 1 mixture) at $70^{\circ}C$. AC impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry were used to evaluate its ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability window of the GPE membranes. Lithium ion battery (LIB) cells were also fabricated with $LiNi_{0.8}Co_{0.2}O_2$/graphite and GPE membranes via thermal polymerization process. Through the thermal polymerization, self sustaining GPE membranes with sufficient ionic conductivities (over $10^{-3}\;S/cm$) and electrochemical stabilities. The LIB cell with 5% monomer showed the best rate-capability and cycleability.

Today, there is increasing recognition of the importance of urban regeneration for better public places. Urban parks as a public area play an important role in harnessing its positive impact on people's well-being: where the standards and funding of/for the parks are getting worse. There is however less a focus on policy approach to park regeneration in the country. Neverthless, a few UK's cases of such innovative park management(PM) has shown successful park regeneration based on policy support. Therefore, the aim of this research is to draw policy implications by exploring a case of successful park regeneration. To address the aim, this research conducts an in-depth case study of 'Manor Fields Park, UK', digging into its PM structure and PM body 'Green Estate Ltd' in relation to relevant policy. The data is mainly collected by interviews including a group interview. The analytical framework 'Place-keeping(PK)' and its six dimensions are employed to determine the characteristics of MFP's PM structure. Resultingly, there is a significant shift in the approach to PM which stresses the principle of long-term and self-sustaining structure led by a non-profit organisation and strong impacts of policy. In this context, PK highlights significant drivers for parks regeneration particularly in terms of policy implications: 1)providing policy support to encourage non-profit organisations in PM, 2)extending community involvement in decision-making processes, 3)promoting income generation by community groups, 4)shifting public awareness of shared responsibility for PM, 5)completing regular park maintenance assessment by community groups, and 6)delivering low-maintenance approaches to PM. To support these implications, PM structure for successful parks regeneration does meet a holistic and multi-dimensional approach of place-keeping underlined by understanding policy contexts and rethinking current status quo of PM. Addressing these implications will shed light on urban PM in an era of austerity and ultimately contribute to improving people's well-being.
