This study was a cross-sectional descriptive research that investigate the level of addiction and analyzed the impact of computer game addiction from 20 to 30 years old on communication capabilities. The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of game addiction according to general characteristics and to confirm the effect of computer game addiction on communication ability. There were a total of 220 participants in the study. This survey for this study was a self-reporting questionnaire, research tools for this study were developed by Lee (2000) using game addiction and Communication ability developed by Frits et al., (1999). Data analysis was analyzed with frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Regression using SPSS 18.0. As a result of analysis, the difference between game addiction and communication ability by gender was appeared to be different under statistical significance levels: game addiction (t=-.9.2, p<0.01), subcomponents of communication ability, concentration (t=7.20, p<0.01), understanding (t=6.13, p<0.01), response (t=6.22, p<0.01), memory (t=2.88, p<0.05). The highest level of game addiction was appeared between 28 and 30 years old under statistical significance (p<0.01). Finally computer game addiction affects understanding, a subcomponent of communication capabilities.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of human rights sensitivity and nursing work environment on workplace bullying victimization among nurses in small- and medium-sized hospitals. Methods: The participants were 255 nurses from 5 general hospitals in Busan. A dataset was collected using a structured self-reporting questionnaire during the month of July 2018. The data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 23.0 software (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA) using independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Nursing work environment showed negative correlation with workplace bullying victimization. Being a witness to bullying, organizational support, head nurse's leadership, and relationships with peers were found to influence workplace bullying victimization, and these 4 variables explained 37% of workplace bullying victimization. Conclusions: Formal procedures for cases of bullying and improvements in the leadership of head nurses and peer relationships are crucial to reducing workplace bullying victimization among nurses in small- and medium-sized hospitals. Hospital executives' efforts to provide sufficient physical and human resources for nursing services and to improve the welfare of nurses are also needed.

This study examined the relationships among patient safety competence, critical thinking disposition, problem-solving competence, and self-efficacy of clinical nurses to identify the factors influencing the patient safety competence. A convenience sample of 373 nurses working in 4 general hospitals in a Metropolitan area in Korea was selected. After obtaining IRB approval, data collection was done with a structured self-administered questionnaire from October 14th to November 4th, 2014. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program. The participants showed a moderate level of patient safety competence ($3.75{\pm}0.37$), of critical thinking disposition ($3.43{\pm}0.27$), of problem solving competence ($3.54{\pm}0.30$), and of self-efficacy ($3.58{\pm}0.47$). The patient safety competence of the participants showed a significant correlation with the critical thinking disposition (r=.493, p<.001), problem solving competence (r=.616, p<.001), and self-efficacy (r=.475, p<.001). The significant factors influencing the patient safety competence were problem solving competence (${\beta}=.403$, p<.001), self-efficacy (${\beta}=.156$, p=.005), critical thinking disposition (${\beta}=.130$, p=.018), and having the experience of reporting patient safety accidents (${\beta}=.137$, p=.002). The results suggest that educational programs to enhance the critical thinking disposition, problem-solving competence, and self-efficacy would develop the patient safety competence of clinical nurses. In addition, more effort should be placed into reinforcing the patient safety competence by activating the report of patient safety accidents.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between spiritual wellbeing and hope, and perceived health status of teachers. Subjects for this study were 244 teachers sampled from middle schools in Kyungpuk. Data was collected from August 10, 1998 to August 30, 1998 using a self-reporting questionnaire managed by a trained interviewer. The measurement tool for spiritual wellbeing was a self-report questionnaire which consisted of 20 questions as 6 point Likert scale developed by Palautzian and Ellison(1982). The tool used do measure hope was developed based on a questionnaire consisting of 4 point Likert scale. Analysis of the data done by use of descriptive statistical methods, t-test, Pearson correlation. The result of this study are as follows : 1. The mean score for spiritual wellbeing was 82.32 and the range was 48-120. Among the components of spiritual wellbeing, the mean score for religious wellbeing was 39.23 and for existential wellbeing, 43.09. 2. The mean score for hope in the teacher group was 84.43, and in the school health teacher group, 88. 33, and this was statistically significant. 3. The response rate on good health for the perceived health status questions in the teacher group, 48.2%, and in the school health teacher group, 42.4%. 4. In testing the hypothesis concerning the relationship between spiritual wellbeing and hope, there was a strong positive correlation in both groups. In a comparison of coefficients of religious, existential wellbeing and hope, there was more stronger correlation in existential wellbeing than that in the other two. 5. In testing the hypothesis concerning the relationship between spiritual wellbeing and perceived health status, there was a weak positive correlation in both groups. 6. The mean score for spiritual wellbeing in the school health teacher group was higher than that in the teacher group and the difference was statistically significant. From the above results it can be conclude that : 1. There was strong positive correlation between spiritual wellbeing and hope. 2. There was correlation between spiritual wellbeing and perceived health status. 3. There was difference for spiritual wellbeing between the school health teacher group and the teacher group, and this was statistically significant.
Obesity in children is a major concern of public health. This study was performed to illuminate its effect on weight control program and the associated factors of obesity-related habits and obesity index in primary school obese children. Weight control program consisted of behavioral modification, nutrition education and exercise during 17 weeks. The sample consisted of treatment group(n=42) and control group(n=41). There was no statistical difference between the two groups in obesity index, socioeconomic status and grade. To assess the effects of weight control program, the subjects were given pre-test and post-test such as the measurement of anthropometric values and self-reporting questionnaire. This result of this study were as follows; 1. After weight control program was applied, there was a significant decrease in obesity index among the treatment group. Obesity-related habits score of the treatment group increased significantly, While there was not much difference between the pre-test and the post-test among the control group. But exercise habit didn't increase significantly in the both groups. 2. Correlation between obesity-related habits and obesity index were not evident. 3. After application of weight control program, the factors associated with change of eating habit were children's past experience of weight control, motivational change toward weight control program and friends' support for treatment group. The factors associated with change of exercise habit were post-test motivation score and friends' support. Motivational change toward weight control and pre-test self-efficacy of exercise behavior were counter-related to exercise habit. For change of other obesity-related habits, initial obesity index, motivational change, post-test self-efficacy score of exercise behavior and paternal educational status were closely associated. But post-test self-efficacy score of eating behavior was unrelated. 4. Only the factor of experience of weight control was associated with change of obesity index. 5. For the both groups, the factors associated with change of eating habits were post-test self-efficacy of eating behavior and family's support. The factors associated with change of exercise behavior were self-efficacy changes of exercise behavior and friends' support. The factors associated with change of other obesity-related habits were self-efficacy change of eating behavior. Initial obesity index was associated with change of obesity index. 6. The rate of dropouts from weight control program was 28.6% (12/42) in treatment group. Initial obesity index, other obesity-related habits except eating exercise habits, friend's support were associated with dropout. In conclusion, these results indicated that weight control program in primary school settings was effective. Direct exercise regimen and practice was demanded. In addition to the program itself, much of the success is dependent on the degree of motivation of the children involved and support provided by their parents and friends. Further study need to be performed under the condition that the weight control progrom is applied for a longer period.
