This study was conducted to investigate the effects of appearance stress, alcohol intake, and eating attitude on self-esteem of female undergraduate students. Participants were 150 female undergraduate students who responded to a survey conducted from March to July of 2017. Data collected were analyzed by stepwise multiple regression analysis using an IBM SPSS 23.0. The influencing factors of self-esteem were satisfaction with college life and appearance stress, and the power of the variables was 11%. The results verified that college life and appearance stress were important factors influencing self-esteem, a critical element in the personality dimension that assesses self-affirmation. Therefore, self-esteem should be improved by providing a buffer to revitalize character resources for positive self-internalization, the formation of a healthy self-image and affect regulation which can enable one to flexibly cope with situations of appearance stress. Also, external resources should be provided inside and outside of school to help university students become cognizant of an objective perspective of the various environments of college life they face, as well as to have a positive view of themselves in college life by regulating the differences between the environments they face and their individual circumstances.
Purpose: The purposes of this study were to identify variables related to self-care behavior and to find factors related to the control of hypertension. A cross-sectional study was carried out to provide basic data for effective and continuous hypertension control in the low-income elderly. Methods: This study was performed with a total of 189 subjects who were hypertensive and were receiving pharmacological treatment of hypertension from a community health center in D Metropolitan City. Data were collected through a face to face survey, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure (the mean value of the two measures) were measured during May 2004. Obtained data were analyzed by $x^2$ test, t-test, multiple logistic regression and Pearson's correlation coefficient (using SPSS Version 10.1). Results: 1. According to demographical characteristics, the score of self-care behavior was significantly higher in elders living along ($47.63{\pm}7.276$) than in those living with the family ($45.19{\pm}5.501$) (p<.05), and in those with religion ($47.11{\pm}6.722$) than in those without religion ($45.01{\pm}6.110$) (p<.05) 2. As to blood pressure control, the percentage of blood pressure control within the normal range (systolic 140mmHg, diastolic below 90mmHg) was 37.03%. According to demographical characteristics, the percentage of blood pressure control was significantly lower in those without religion (p<.05). In practicing hypertension self-care behavior, those who do not control salk intake showed a significantly lower percentage of hypertension control (p<.05). The score of hypertension self-care was $48.28{\pm}4.443$ in the controlled group, and $45.42{\pm}7.399$ in the uncontrolled group, showing a significant difference (p<.01). 3. Hypertension self-care behavior was in a positive correlation with blood pressure control (r=.210, p<.05). Conclusion: Attention should be paid to self-care behavior to increase the control of hypertension in the low-income elderly. These results can be used guidances for improving self-care behavior and the control of hypertension in the low-income elderly.

In this study, for the safe use of a portable ultrasonic skin-beauty device, an android app was developed to show the irradiation locations of focused ultrasound to a user through augmented reality (AR) and enable stable self-surgery. The utility of the app was assessed through testing. While the user is making a facial treatment with the beauty device, the user's face and the ultrasonic irradiation location on the face are detected in real-time with a smart-phone camera. The irradiation location is then indicated on the face image and shown to the user so that excessive ultrasound is not irradiated to the same area during treatment. To this end, ML-Kit is used to detect the user's face landmarks in real-time, and they are compared with a reference face model to estimate the pose of the face, such as rotation and movement. After mounting a LED on the ultrasonic irradiation part of the device and operating the LED during irradiation, the LED light was searched to find the position of the ultrasonic irradiation on the smart-phone screen, and the irradiation position was registered and displayed on the face image based on the estimated face pose. Each task performed in the app was implemented through the thread and the timer, and all tasks were executed within 75 ms. The test results showed that the time taken to register and display 120 ultrasound irradiation positions was less than 25ms, and the display accuracy was within 20mm when the face did not rotate significantly.
This study investigated the effects of utilizing 3D printed teaching aids on academic achievement and learning motivation in a non-face-to-face learning environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was divided into an experimental and a comparison group that applied traditional lecture-based teaching and self-directed learning using 3D printed teaching aids and videos. The results of the study showed that the experimental group using 3D printed brain puzzles improved their academic performance compared to the comparison group using traditional lectures. This may be due to the fact that visual and experiential learning helped students to acquire knowledge on their own. The brain puzzles provided an interesting learning experience for the students, and their overall satisfaction with the class was also positive. These results indicate that teaching with teaching aids can increase students' motivation to learn and improve their academic performance. Therefore, the active introduction of 3D printed teaching aids in the non-face-to-face learning environment caused by COVID-19 is expected to improve the quality of education through innovation in learner-centered teaching methods.
