중공부가 있는 다단계 긴장 PSC 거더의 동특성 실험 및 해석 (Dynamic Test and Analysis of Multilevel Post-tensioned PSC Girder with Holed Web)

  • 복부에 중공부가 있는 PSC 거더는 여러 가지 이점이 있다. 중공부에 정착부를 두어 프리스트레싱힘을 단계적으로 도입할 수 있으며 길이가 동일한 경우 거더의 중량을 줄일 수가 있고, 같은 중량인 경우 경간을 더 늘일 수 있다. 그리고 빔에 의한 조망권의 간섭도 줄일 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 복부에 여러 개의 원형 개구부를 가지고 있는 50m 실물 다단계 긴장 PSC 거더를 제작하여 모달테스트를 수행하였다. 모달테스트를 위한 가진방법으로 거더의 중앙에 가진기를 설치하여 일정 주파수 단위로 가진시킴으로써 정확한 주파수응답을 얻고자 하였다. 얻어진 주파수응답을 FFT와 PSD를 통하여 거더의 고유진동수와 감쇠비를 추정하였고 이를 Midas FEA를 이용한 해석결과와 비교하였다.

비대칭 터빈 로터 실에 기인한 축 가진력 (Rotordynamic Forces Due to Rotor Sealing Gap in Turbines)

  • Turbines have been known to be particularly susceptible to flow-induced self-excited vibration. In such vibrations, direct damping and cross stiffness effects of aerodynamic forces determine rotordynamic stability. In axial turbines with eccentric shrouded rotors, the non-uniform sealing gap causes azimuthal non-uniformities in the seal gland pressure and the turbine torque which destabilize the rotor system. Previously, research efforts focused solely on either the seal flow or the unshrouded turbine passge flow. Recently, a model for flow in a turbine with a statically offset shrouded rotor has been developed and some stiffness predictions have been obtained. The model couples the seal flow to the passage flow and uses a small perturbation approach to determine nonaxiymmetric flow conditions. The model uses basic conservation laws. Input parameters include aerodynamic parameters (e.g. flow coefficient, reaction, and work coefficient); geometric parameters (e.g. sealing gap, depth of seal gland, seal pitch, annulus height); and a prescribed rotor offset. Thus, aerodynamic stiffness predictions have been obtained. However, aerodynamic damping (i.e. unsteady aerodynamic) effects caused by a whirling turbine has not yet been examined. Therefore, this paper presents a new unsteady model to predict the unsteady flow field due to a whirling shrouded rotor in turbines. From unsteady perturbations in velocity and pressure at various whirling frequencies, not only stiffness but also damping effects of aerodynamic forces can be obtained. Furthermore, relative contributions of seal gland pressure asymmetry and turbine torque asymmetry are presented.

Study of central buckle effects on flutter of long-span suspension bridges

  • To investigate the effects of central buckles on the dynamic behavior and flutter stability of long-span suspension bridges, four different connection options between the main cable and the girder near the mid-span position of the Aizhai Bridge were studied. Based on the flutter derivatives obtained from wind tunnel tests, formulations of self-excited forces in the time domain were obtained using a nonlinear least square fitting method and a time-domain flutter analysis was realized. Subsequently, the influences of the central buckles on the critical flutter velocity, flutter frequency, and three-dimensional flutter states of the bridge were investigated. The results show that the central buckles can significantly increase the frequency of the longitudinal floating mode of the bridge and have greater influence on the frequencies of the asymmetric lateral bending mode and asymmetric torsion mode than on that of the symmetric ones. As such, the central buckles have small impact on the critical flutter velocity due to that the flutter mode of the Aizhai Bridge was essentially the symmetric torsion mode coupled with the symmetric vertical mode. However, the central buckles have certain impact on the flutter mode and the three-dimensional flutter states of the bridge. In addition, it is found that the phenomenon of complex beat vibrations (called intermittent flutter phenomenon) appeared in the flutter state of the bridge when the structural damping is 0 or very low.

금속 보강재를 이용한 에폭시 수지형의 특성 향상 및 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics Improvement of Epoxy Resin Mold Using Metal Fillers and Its Application)

  • As the cycling time of new products have become more and more short in recent years, the demand for lowering the cost and reducing the production time becomes stronger. In order for the demand, the rapid prototyping and rapid tooling technology have been used. It has been widely known that RP technology has advantages with fabricating 3-D object having a complicated geometric shape. RP products, however, have a limitation with applying to the real die and mold because soft materials such as resin, paper and wax has been mostly used in RP technology. So in this paper, the RP products have been copied to semi-metallic soft tools using the mixture of metal fillers and epoxy resin. In order to evaluate the effect of the fillers on the characteristics of semi-metallic soft tools, three fillers are used including commercial aluminum powder, cast iron powder recycled by machining chips, and aluminum short fiber made by self-excited vibration technique. Besides, in the case of aluminum powder, the change of characteristics of semi-metallic soft tools is also tested according to the volume fraction of the powder.

금속분말 혼합수지를 이용한 쾌속 형 제작에 관한 연구 (A study on the Rapid Tooling Using Metal Powder Filled Resin)

  • The rapid Tooling technique is classified into two methods: one to directly utilize the model which was made by rapid prototyping technologies for dies, and the other to make a transferred type using the model as a master model and create dies and molds using it. In this study, the Al powder filled resin was made several mixed ratios and meshes sizes, and applied to slurry casting. And, variation of mechanical characteristics such as the shrinkage rate, the tensile strength, the elongation, the hardness, and surface roughness, are measured to compare. Consequently, as higher is the powder mixed ration and as smaller is the grain size of the power, the mechanical characteristics of the final mold are improved. Finally, the metal short fiber which can be fabricated easily and cheaply, if the self-excited vibration of an elastic tool, was also applied to slurry casting. It has been found tat the hardness gets higher, while the shrinkage rate lower, if mixed with short fiber.

브레이크 패드의 동적 불안정성에 따른 스퀼 소음 발생 원인의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Squeal Noise Generation due to Dynamic Instability of Brake Pad)

  • Squeal noise is a typical brake noise that is annoying to both passengers and pedestrians. Its frequency range is fairly wide from 1 kHz to 18 kHz, which can be distressful to people. The brake squeal noise occurs due to various mechanisms, such as the mode coupling of the brake system, self-excited vibration, unstable wear, and others. In this study, several parameters involved in the generation of a squeal noise are investigated experimentally by using a brake noise dynamometer. The speed, caliper pressure, torque, and friction coefficient are measured as functions of time on the dynamometer. The contact pressure and temperature distributions of the disc and the pad are also measured by using a thermal imaging camera and a pressure mapping system. As a result of the simultaneous measurement of the friction coefficient and squeal amplitude as functions of the velocity, it is found that the onset of the squeal may be predicted from the ${\mu}-v$ curve. It is also found that a non-uniform contact pressure causes instability and, in turn, a squeal. Based on the analysis results, design modifications of the pad are suggested for improved noise characteristics.

Study on post-flutter state of streamlined steel box girder based on 2 DOF coupling flutter theory

  • The post-flutter state of streamlined steel box girder is studied in this paper. Firstly, the nonlinear aerodynamic self-excited forces of the bridge deck cross section were investigated by CFD dynamic mesh technique and then the nonlinear flutter derivatives were identified on this basis. Secondly, based on the 2-degree-of-freedom (DOF) coupling flutter theory, the torsional amplitude and the nonlinear flutter derivatives were introduced into the traditional direct flutter calculation method, and the original program was improved to the "post-flutter state analysis program" so that it can predict not only the critical flutter velocity but also the movement of the girder in the post-flutter state. Finally, wind tunnel tests were set to verify the method proposed in this paper. The results show that the effect of vertical amplitude on the nonlinear flutter derivatives is negligible, but the torsional amplitude is not; with the increase of wind speed, the post-flutter state of streamlined steel box girder includes four stages, namely, "little amplitude zone", "step amplitude zone", "linearly growing amplitude zone" and "divergence zone"; damping ratio has limited effect on the critical flutter velocity and the steady state response in the post-flutter state; after flutter occurs, the vibration form is a single frequency vibration coupled with torsional and vertical DOF.

유격을 고려한 노즈 랜딩기어의 비선형 쉬미 해석 (Non-linear Shimmy Analysis of a Nose Landing Gear with Free-play)

  • 본 논문에서는 유격을 고려한 항공기 전방 착륙 장치의 쉬미 현상을 연구하였다. 쉬미는 항공기의 이착륙 시 랜딩기어가 주행도중 측방향과 조향방향으로 진동에 놓이는 현상이다. 이 현상은 스트럿의 낮은 강성, 랜딩기어 내부의 마찰과 유격, 휠의 불균형이나 마모된 부품 등으로 인해 발생하며, 항공기의 안정성을 저하시킨다. 유격은 비선형 요소이기 때문에 기술 함수로 선형화 하여 주파수 영역에서 안정성해석을 수행하였고, 4차 Runge - Kutta를 이용하여 시간영역에서 안정성해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 수치적인 해석법을 통해 쉬미현상의 선형 동특성과 비선형 동특성을 조사하였다. 유격을 고려한 비선형 수치 해석결과, 선형 임계속도보다 낮은 속도에서 제한주기진동이 발생하는 등, 유격으로 인해 쉬미 안정성이 저감되는 결과를 관찰하였다.

일사량 변화를 고려한 PV 시스템의 개선된 P&O 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Improved P&O Algorithm of PV System Considering Insolation variation)

  • 태양전지의 출력 특성은 비선형이고 온도와 일사량에 많은 영향을 받는다. 최대전력점 추종 제어는 태양광 발전의 출력을 최대로 하기 위해 사용되는 제어기법이다. 태양광발전 시스템의 출력 및 효율을 증가 시키기 위해 더욱 우수한 최대전력점 추종 제어기법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 태양광 발전 시스템의 효율을 개선하기 위해 일사량을 고려한 새로운 최대전력점 추종 제어 알고리즘을 제시한다. 제시한 알고리즘은 종래의 P&O방법과 CV 방법을 혼합한 것이며, PSIM 시뮬레이터를 통하여 종래의 MPPT 알고리즘과 다양한 일사량 조건에서 성능시험을 비교하였다. 제시한 알고리즘은 종래의 알고리즘에 비해 출력의 자려진동없이 다양한 일사량에서 우수한 성능을 나타냈다. 이로서 본 논문에서 제시한 HB 방법의 최대전력점 추종 제어 알고리즘의 타당성을 입증하였다.

마찰을 고려한 노즈 랜딩기어의 비선형 쉬미 해석 (Non-linear Shimmy Analysis of a Nose Landing Gear with Friction)

  • 쉬미는 항공기의 이착륙 시 랜딩기어가 주행도중 측방향 및 조향방향의 진동이 발생하는 현상이다. 쉬미 현상은 스트럿의 낮은 강성, 랜딩기어 내부의 유격, 휠의 불균형이나 마모된 부품 등으로 인해 발생하며, 항공기의 안정성을 저하시킨다. 본 연구는 소형항공기의 쉬미 안정성 검토를 위해 수행되었다. 수치해석을 위하여 소형항공기의 전방 착륙장치를 선형시스템으로 모델링하고 상태방정식을 수립하였다. 근궤적 기법을 이용한 주파수 영역 해석과 4차 Runge-Kutta 방법을 이용한 시간영역 해석을 통해 쉬미 현상을 예측하였고 주요 변수의 설계범위를 검토하였다. 현 착륙장치는 와셔의 압축력을 이용하여 조향 방향 마찰을 가함으로써 쉬미현상을 저감하는 기법을 채택하고 있으므로 마찰을 기술함수를 이용하여 선형화시키고 상태방정식에 적용하여 해석을 수행함으로써 쉬미의 발생이 저감되는 결과를 확인하였다.
