시니어 모델 교육 프로그램 경험자와 비경험자의 참여에 따른 라이프스타일, 신체만족도, 신체 자기효능감, 자아존중감, 패션연출 자신감의 특성비교 (A Comparative Study on Characteristics between Participants and Non-participants in Senior Model Program: a Focus on Lifestyles, Body Satisfaction, Self-esteem, Physical Self Efficacy, and Self-confidence in Fashion Coordination)

  • The study analyzed differences in lifestyle, self-esteem, body satisfaction, physical self efficacy, self-confidence in fashion coordination between participants and non-participants of a senior model education program. Another purpose of the study was to examine differences between the participants with less and longer than 6 months of the education. The questionnaire developed by the researchers was collected from 200 participants aged between 50s and 70s. Two hundred questionnaires were used in the final analysis. The data were analyzed by common factor analysis, and independent sample t-test using SPSS 180.0/Windows. The results demonstrated significant differences in lifestyle, self-esteem, body satisfaction, physical self efficacy, self-confidence in fashion coordination between the participants and non-participants. The participants showed significant higher scores in lifestyle, self esteem, body satisfaction, physical self efficacy, self-confidence in fashion coordination. Also, there were significant differences in personal satisfaction in lifestyle, body satisfaction, and learning efficacy between the participants depending on the period of the education; the participants with longer than 6 months of education showed significantly higher scores in the factors than the participants who took less than 6 months of education.

Effect of PBL on Self Leadership, Nursing Leadership, Confidence in Nursing Students Applying Flipped Learning

  • This is a group pretest-posttest design study that aim to evaluate the effect of problem-based learning using flipped learning to self leadership, nursing leadership, and confidence of nursing students. The subjects were 87 4th nursing students who took nursing management from March 15 to April 26, 2021. A questionnaire was used to measure self leadership, nursing leadership, and confidence. The measurement of self leadership is a 5-point Likert scale that employs a questionnaire. Flipped learning uploaded a 5-8 minute lecture video, and the subjects learned on learning management system, using smart device. PBL teaching was developed about personal growth, cooperation, nursing excellence, creative problem solving, influence. As a result of the study, self leadership was significantly improved after education than before education(t=-6.27, p<.001). Nursing leadership and confidence were significantly changed before and after education(t=-16.10, p<.001; t=-2.37, p<.001). According to the results of this study, the PBL teaching method using flipped learning is an effective teaching and learning strategy for improving leadership, and confidence. In future studies, it will be necessary to develope and verify specific teaching and learning methods by applying nursing experts in consideration of the type of leadership.

수학에 대한 자신감에 관한 연구 (A Study about Confidence with Mathematics)

  • 본 연구는 수학에 대한 자신감의 개념을 탐색하고, 우리나라 학생들의 수학에 대한 자신감의 특성을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저, 자신감과 유사 개념으로 사용되고 있는 자아개념, 자아효능감에 관한 문헌을 고찰하여 세 가지 개념의 정의 및 개념 간 관계를 규명해보았다. 수학에 대한 자신감은 수학을 잘 할 수 있다는 자신의 능력에 대한 신념이며, 수학에 대한 자아개념이나 수학에 대한 자아효능감과는 개념적으로 차이가 있음을 밝혔다. 더불어, TIMSS 2003, 2007, 2011에 걸쳐 축적된 학생 설문 자료를 바탕으로 최근 우리나라 초등학교 및 중학교 학생들의 수학에 대한 자신감과 그 변화 추이를 분석하고, 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 탐색해보았다. 분석 결과 우리나라 학생들의 자신감은 초등학생에 비해 중학생이 더 낮았고, 수학 성취도, 수학에 대한 흥미와 같은 변인이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 수학수업에서 활용하는 평가 형태 중에서는 학생들이 진행중인 과제에 대한 평가가 자신감에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

임부의 분만 자신감, 산전 우울, 분만 지식과 배우자 지지는 분만 두려움에 영향을 미치는가? (Do childbirth confidence, prenatal depression, childbirth knowledge, and spousal support influence childbirth fear in pregnant women?)

  • Purpose: This study investigated levels of childbirth fear and related prenatal factors (self-confidence for childbirth, prenatal depression, knowledge about childbirth, and spousal support) among pregnant women in South Korea. Methods: A correlational study design was used to explore levels of childbirth fear and related prenatal factors in 200 pregnant women over 28 weeks of gestation. A self-administered questionnaire was used to measure fear of childbirth and related factors, such as self-confidence for childbirth, prenatal depression, knowledge about childbirth, and spousal support. Results: One-third of the pregnant women were aged 35 years and older. Sixty-one percent of women were nulliparae, but only 26.0% had experienced prenatal education. The mean score for fear of childbirth was 66.99 out of 165. The prevalence of fear of childbirth was 72.0%, and childbirth fear was severe in 26.5% of the participants and moderate in 45.5%. Fear of childbirth was negatively related to self-confidence (r=-.45, p<.001), but positively related to prenatal depression (r=.21, p=.002). Two significant predictors were found to explain the fear of childbirth. Higher self-confidence for childbirth was associated with less severe fear of childbirth (β=-.44, p<.001), while higher prenatal depression was associated with more severe fear of childbirth (β=.13, p=.038). Conclusion: The level of fear of childbirth was higher among pregnant women with lower self-confidence and higher prenatal depression. Reasonable evidence should be provided for implementing prenatal and childbirth classes to reduce pregnant women's depression and to increase their confidence.

모유수유모의 모유수유 임파워먼트와 어머니 역할 수행 자신감과의 관계 (A Study on the Relationship between Breastfeeding Empowerment and Self-confidence in the Maternal Role of Breastfeeding Mothers)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between breastfeeding empowerment and self-confidence in the maternal role of breastfeeding mothers. Method: Breastfeeding empowerment was measured on a scale of 5 developed by Kim & Park(2004), while self-confidence was measured on a scale of 4 by Lederman et al.(1981). Data was collected during a Breastfeeding Infant Contest held in September 2006 and 2007 in Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. The subjects were 278 breastfeeding mothers. The collected data was processed with the SPSS win 12.0 version. Result: Breastfeeding empowerment scored 4.21 on average (5.0 full score). The score showed a statistical difference only in breast milk quantity and breastfeeding knowledge. On the otherhand self-confidence in the maternal role showed a statistical difference only in breastfeeding frequency and know ledge. Self-confidence in the maternal role showed a statistically significant relationship with breastfeeding skill(${\gamma}=0.50$), with breastfeeding will(${\gamma}=0.45$), with adherence to exclusive breastfeeding(${\gamma}=0.35$) and with group empowerment(${\gamma}=0.39$). Conclusion: The positive relationship between breastfeeding empowerment and self-confidence in the maternal role implies that breastfeeding empowerment may be utilized to promote self-confidence in the mother's role.

청소년 자살에 대한 교사의 역할수행 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Self-Confidence in the Teacher's Role on Adolescent Suicide)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청소년 자살에 대한 교사의 역할수행 자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 D시 소재 17개 초 중 고교에 근무하고 있는 남녀 교사 318명이었다. 본 연구에서는 대상자의 일반적 특성, 청소년 자살에 대한 태도, 청소년 자살예방 지침에 대한 지식, 청소년 자살에 대한 교사의 역할수행 자신감에 대한 자가보고식 설문을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술통계, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 자살 관련 교육경험이 있는 경우, 청소년 자살에 대한 태도가 부정적일수록, 청소년 자살에 대한 지식수준이 높을수록 청소년 자살에 대한 교사의 역할수행 자신감이 높게 나타났으며, 이들 변수는 교사의 청소년 자살에 대한 역할수행 자신감에 대해 총 22.5%를 설명하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 확인된 영향요인들은 이용하여 청소년 자살에 대한 교사의 역할수행 자신감을 증진시키기 위한 교육과 효과적인 중재가 개발되어야 할 것이다.

숲체험 놀이에서 밧줄 놀이가 유아 자신감에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Rope Play through Forest Experience on Children's Self-Confidence)

  • 본 연구는 숲체험 놀이에서 밧줄 놀이가 유아 자신감에 미치는 효과를 분석하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 실험집단 15명(남아7명, 여아8명)과 비실험집단 15명(남아9명, 여아6명)을 대상으로 실험설계를 통한 실증분석하였다. 실험처치를 하고 실험집단 및 통제집단 간 효과를 검정하기 위해 공분산분석(ANCOVA)을 실시한 결과, 실험집단의 평균이 통제집단의 평균보다 통계적으로 의미있게 높은 것으로 나타났다(F=357.350, p<.001). 이같은 결과는 숲체험 밧줄 놀이를 통해 유아의 자신감에 미치는 효과가 통계적으로 의미 있는 효과를 나타낸 것으로 평가할 수 있다. 이는 또래 간 숲체험 밧줄 놀이가 유아의 자신감 향상에 보다 긍정적인 효과를 나타내주는 유익한 놀이로 유아들의 숲체험 놀이를 통해 또래 간 협력을 통한 상호작용 속에 감정과 충동조절로 소극적 성격의 유아의 자신감을 높여주는 긍정적인 놀이활동임을 확인시켜준 것으로 판단할 수 있다.

간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술의 임상수행경험, 수행자신감, 임상수행능력에 관한 융복합적 연구 (A Study of Convergence on Experiences of Clinical Performance and Self-Confidence of Core Basic Nursing Skills, Clinical Competence in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술의 임상수행 경험과 자신감, 임상수행능력 정도를 알아보기 위한 연구이다. 자료는 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient, 다중회귀분석을 통하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 핵심기본간호술의 임상수행경험, 수행자신감 및 임상수행능력에서 유의한 차이를 보인 일반적 특성은 학년이며, 임상수행능력과 핵심기본간호술 수행경험 그리고 수행자신감은 순상관관계가 있었다. 임상수행능력에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감으로 31.2%의 설명력을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 간호대학생의 임상수행능력을 높이기 위해 간호대학생의 핵심기본간호술 수행자신감을 높일 수 있는 다양한 교육과정 개발이 필요함을 보여주는 것이라 하겠다.

Effects of Simulation on Nursing Students' Knowledge, Clinical Reasoning, and Self-confidence: A Quasi-experimental Study

  • Purpose: Knowledge, clinical reasoning, and self-confidence are the basis for undergraduate education, and determine students' level of competence. The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of the addition of a one-time simulation experience to the didactic curriculum on nursing students' knowledge acquisition, clinical reasoning skill, and self-confidence. Methods: Using a quasi-experimental crossover design consisted of intervention and wait-list control groups. Participants were non-randomly assigned to the first intervention group (Group A, n=48) or the wait-list control group (Group B, n=46). Knowledge level was assessed through a multiple choice written test, and clinical reasoning skill was measured using a nursing process model-based rubric. Self-confidence was measured using a self-reported questionnaire. Results: Results indicated that students in the simulation group scored significantly higher on clinical reasoning skill and related knowledge than those in the didactic lecture group; no difference was found for self-confidence. Conclusion: Findings suggest that undergraduate nursing education requires a simulation-based curriculum for clinical reasoning development and knowledge acquisition.

Association between interpersonal relationships and 4C (communication, critical thinking, collaborative self-efficacy, and creative problem-solving) core competencies of dental hygiene students

  • Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the association between interpersonal relationships and the 4C core competencies of dental hygiene students. It also examined how interpersonal competence can be enhanced by the development and application of programs so that the 4C core competencies of university students can be improved. Methods: A survey was conducted from March to May 2019 on students from the Department of dental hygiene in Busan, South Korea, and 177 valid responses were analyzed. The general characteristics of the students were calculated using frequency and percentage, and their degree of 4C core competencies and interpersonal abilities were expressed as means (±standard deviation). Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of interpersonal competence on the 4C core competencies. Results: The findings revealed the factors affecting the 4C core competencies as; (a) communication ability was affected by interpersonal cognition and confidence building; (b) critical thinking ability was affected by person-oriented, self-expression, and confidence building; (c) creative problem-solving ability was affected by self-confidence, person-orientation, self-expression, and confidence building, and (d) cooperative self-efficacy was affected by person-oriented and confidence building. Conclusions: Based on the above findings, it is necessary to develop systematic program items and education systems that can effectively develop interpersonal competency, and thereby improve 4C core competencies among students.
