  • When compose magnetic field curer by belt and band style and need by magnetic field ripple last month, produce self-discipline roof.   • This study was conducted to transfer the potato virus Y-necrosis strain resistance from Nicotiana africana to Nicotiana tabacum (cv. NC82) N. africana was crossed with NC82, GErmination of the cotyledon stage, at which time most of the seedling died. However, surviving seedlings continued to grow normally. Chromosomes of the these interspecific self-sterile F1 hybrids were doubled by tissue culture. Amphidiploid of F1 hybrid was self-fertile. Starting with amphidipliod, a wystematic backcross (BC) program was set up with NC82 as recurrent parent. In the BC5C2 generation, the resistant plant was selected. This resistant line, KF8833-1, had 48 chromosome and secreting glandular trichomes. It flowered 2days later than NC82, and stalk height, leaves per plant, leaf length and leaf width were similar to those of NC82.

Characteristics of Electrowetting of Self-assembled Monolayer and Z-Tetraol Film

  • A study of electrowetting using an Octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS) self-assembled monolayer (SAM) and Z- Tetraol 2000 perfluoropolyether lubricant as hydrophobic layers on Si and $SiO_2$ wafer was performed. The $SiO_2$ layer used as insulating layer was thermally grown on the silicon wafer to a thickness of 220-230 nm. The results demonstrated that the contact angle decreased from $100^{\circ}$ to $80^{\circ}$ at 28 V applied potential on $SiO_2$ wafer coated with OTS and the contact angle appeared to be reversible. However, the contact angle on the $SiO_2$ wafer coated with Z- Tetraol 2000 was not observable at 28 V applied potential. Furthermore, the contact angle on the Si wafer coated with OTS or Z- Tetraol 2000 appeared to be irreversible due to the generation of electrolysis in the droplet. It is concluded that it is feasible to use SAM as a hydrophobic layer in electrowetting applications.

  • 아르곤 레이저에 의해 광펌핑 되는 티타늄 사파이어 레이저를 제작하고 이를 자체 모드록킹 시켰다. 모드록킹은 볼 슬라이더 위에 장착된 공진기 거울의 이동에 의해 시작되었으며 티타늄 사파이어 결정내의 자체 집속 효과와 공진기내에 설치된 조리개에 의해 모드록킹이 유지 되었다. 공진기내의 군속도를 보상하기 위하여 프리즘쌍을 사용하였으며, 모드록킹된 펄스의 대역폭은 11nm, 펄스폭은 $1000\pm20fs$였다.

  • The dielectric reliability of the Thin $SiO_2$ films of wet oxidation on n-type Si substrates has been studied by using self-healing method of breakdown and according to injection time high frequence C-V tests. These experiments have been performed to investigate the dielectric breakdown mechanism of a thin film in which positive charge generation during high-field Fowler-Nordheim tunneling are considered. In addition, The weak spots and robust areas are distinguished so that the localized dielectric breakdown could be described.

  • Due to the increase in importance of factory-automation (FA) in the field of production, the importance of he autonomous guided vehicle's (AGV) role has also increased. This paper is about an active and effective controller which can flexibly prepare for changeable circumstances. For this study, research about an behavior-based system evolving by itself is also being considered. In this paper, constructed an active and effective AGV fuzzy controller to be able to carry out self-organization. To construct it, we tuned suboptimally membership function using a genetic algorithm (GA) and improved the control efficiency by self-correction and the generation of control rules.

  • With increasing emphasis on non-conventional energy systems and autonomous power generation, development of improved and appropriate generating systems has recently taken on greater significance. This paper describes the performance analysis of a single phase self-excited induction generator (SEIG), suitable for autonomous/standby power systems. The system is also appropriate for wind energy systems and small portable systems. Both windings of the induction machine, the main and the auxiliary, are utilized. One winding will be devoted to the supply excitation current only, by being connected to the excitation capacitor, while the load is connected across the other winding. As the design of excitation, the minimum of self-excited capacitor connected auxiliary winding is determined as the suitable value using a circuit equation of auxiliary winding. For the steady state analysis, the equivalent circuit of the single-phase induction generators is used as a basis for modeling using the double-revolving field theory. The validity of the designed generator system is confirmed by experimental and computed results.

  • Smart phone systems such as Android and iPhone are spreading into the next generation's computing and the prediction that cell phone (especially smart phone) penetration rate will be higher than that of PC in the near future is predominant. In this paper, we designed and materialized an item pool system which has self directed learning function that enables learning with smart phone (the PC in the hand). Users can choose the way of studying and do the offered estimation depending on their levels with smart phone. It is materialized the studying environment which can be done immediately anytime and anywhere.

  • In this paper a self-tuning modified skyhook control for the semi-active suspension systems is investigated. The damping force generation mechanism is modeled We consider a 2 DOF time-varying quarter car model that permits parameter variations of the sprung mass and suspension spring coefficient. The modified skyhook control algorithm proposed in this paper requires only the measurement of body acceleration. The absolute velocity of the sprung mass and the relative velocity of the suspension deflection are estimated by using integral filters, according to parameter variations. The skyhook gains are designed in such a way that the body acceleration and the dynamic tire force are optimized. An ECU prototype will be discussed
