  • The Development of a new menu item in a restaurant usually begins when your chef prepares a creative "brainchild" that he serves to you, the owner. If you are satisfied with the new dish, It gets a "go-ahead" signal, under the assumption that what appeals to you will appeal to a significant number of your customers. While many excellent and successful items have been created this way, It is not reasonable to expect that your tastes can represent the wide variety of your potential guests tastes. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that have an influence on customers′ menu evaluation. A menu is a marketing tool which delivers restaurant′s image and message to customers needs and wants to restaurant. So far, studies on menu have been done in an analytical way from a management′s viewpoint and inadequate to reflect customers′ needs and wants. In this study is to examine the factors that have an influence on customers′ menu evaluation. The factors affected the customers′ menu evaluation of hotel restaurant in the three factors. • To identify and evaluate the risk factors in WMSD work, a number of ergonomic workload evaluation methods have been developed. In the legal examination of WMSD risk factors, simple observational workload evaluation methods are widely used instead of using costly measurement equipments such as EMG and motion analyzer. The simple workload evaluation methods can be categorized into three groups; risk factor checklist methods, posture observation methods, and manual material handling task evaluation methods. In terms of the categories, this survey summarized several representative workload evaluation methods and compared them each other. Then some industrial application cases referring each the workload evaluation methods were surveyed. Due to the characteristics of each method, the selection and application procedure of workload evaluation method should be appropriate for the corresponding work. Therefore, some guidelines for the selection and application procedure of workload evaluation method were suggested.

  • Cases and studies on the selection method of CTQ are relatively active, but there are few cases or studies on the selection method of CTP which is important in the device industry. In fact, many companies simply select and manage CTP from the point of contact based on their experience and intuition. The purpose of this study is to present an evaluation model and a mathematical decision model for rational and systematic CTP selection to improve the process quality of semiconductor equipment lines. In the evaluation model, AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis technique was applied to show objective and quantitative figures, and Fuzzy decision-making model was used to solve the ambiguity and uncertainty in the decision-making process. Decision Value (DV) was presented. The subjects were 22 process factors managed in the Plating Process that the representative equipment line can do. As a result, the evaluation model proposed in this study can support more efficient and effective decision-making for process quality improvement by more objectively measuring the problem of subjective CTP selection in manufacturing sites.

  • As customer's needs change rapidly in recent days, the evaluation scale about service quality is changing against the variation of the customer's needs. It is fact that the need of change which established evaluation ways about service quality rise more and more. 6-Sigma activity, called "most innovative management strategy in 20th Century", have many problems apply to service company. The important one between these problems is the problem about Critical To Quality(CTQ) Selection caused from the absence of more precise evaluation system. The objective of this study is the development of methodology for CTQ selection coincide to service company. It is the basic logic that the way to regard MOT mainly effects about total customer satisfaction index(CSI) as CTQ, after the development of the evaluation system based on MOT with customers. Also, the study focused on the case of department store progress to exhibit the reasonableness of this logic.

  • Location selection of distribution centers is a crucial task for logistics operators and key decision makers of an organization. This is a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) process which includes both quantitative and qualitative criteria. In order to propose an optimized location selection model, this research suggests a hierarchical group of evaluation criteria : 5 major criteria with 15 sub-criteria. The MCDM approach presented in this research, by integrating Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), tends to rectify the overall quality and uncertainty of the values of evaluation criteria. An example of a location selection case in Korea is illustrated in this study to show the effectiveness of this method.

  • In this study, evaluation indicators for quantitative and qualitative indicators were presented by resetting the evaluation indicators for the selection of the living conditions renovation project for vulnerable residential areas by reflecting the results of expert importance. The appropriateness of the project selection evaluation index was reviewed by comparing the results of the expert AHP importance survey to make the project sustainable and to discover vulnerable villages. Evaluation items were constructed based on the guidelines for selecting the target site, and AHP importance evaluation was performed using this evaluation item as a proxy variable. Based on the data collected from 152 villages in Gimhae-si for case studies, the evaluation results were derived by applying the existing guideline evaluation indicators and evaluation indicators reflecting the importance proposed in this study. As a result of the study, Overall, there was a positive correlation between the results of the existing guideline evaluation and the results of the AHP importance survey, but in detail, there is a difference in the results evaluated by the two evaluation methods. In the future, if the scope of participating experts is expanded to supplement the importance evaluation, and the evaluation grade is set by analyzing quantitative data from Gyeongsangnam-do or rural areas nationwide, local governments and others will use this evaluation index as basic data when promoting the project.

  • The supplier selection problem is perhaps the most important component of the purchasing function. Some of the common and influential criteria in the selection of a supplier include quality, price, delivery, and service. These evaluation criteria often conflict, however, and it is frequently impossible to find a supplier that excels in all areas. In addition, some of the criteria are quantitative and some are qualitative. Thus, a methodology is needed that can capture both subjective and objective evaluation measures. The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) is a decision-making method for ranking alternative courses of action when multiple criteria must be considered. This paper proposes the AHP-based approach which can structure the supplier selection process and the achievements-based procedure which can allocate order quantities for the selected suppliers In automotive part manufacturers. Also, through the practical case of 'D' automotive part manufacturing company, we shows that the proposed AHP based supplier selection approach and the achievements-based allocation procedure of order quantity can be successfully applied for supplier selection and order quantity allocation problems.

  • A selection methodology of liquid levelmeters, especially, level sensors in non-nuclear category, to be installed in nuclear energy facilities is developed using linguistic fuzzy approaches such as fully-linguistic and semi-linguistic methods. Depending on defuzzification techniques, the linguistic fuzzy methodology leads to either linguistic (exactly, fully-linguistic) or cardinal (i.e., semi-linguistic) evaluation. For the linguistic method, for each alternative, fuzzy preference index is converted to linguistic utility value by means of a similarity measure determining the degree of similarity between fuzzy index and linguistic ratings. For the cardinal method, the index is translated to cardinal overall utility value. According to these values, alternatives of interest are linguistically or numerically evaluated and a suitable alternative can be selected. Under given selection criteria, the suitable selections out of some liquid levelmeters for nuclear facilities are dealt with using the linguistic fuzzy methodology proposed. Then, linguistic fuzzy evaluation results are compared with qualitative result available in the literature. It is found that as to a suitable option the linguistic fuzzy selection is in agreement with the qualitative selection. Additionally, the comparative study shows that the fully-linguistic method using adequate scale system facilitates linguistic interpretation regarding evaluation results.
