공간 능력을 활성화하는 과학 활동이 초등학생의 공간 능력과 창의성에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Science Activity Activating Spatial Ability on Elementary School Students' Spatial Ability and Creativity Improvement)

  • This study was to find the effects of science activity activating spatial ability on spatial ability and creativity of the elementary school students. The survey was conducted with 30 second grade students in one class of "J" elementary school located in "C" City, Chungcheong-bukdo province. The students were taught with the program of science activity activating the spatial ability. According to the result, the science activity had significantly influence on the improvement of spatial ability of the elementary school students. It had also significantly influence on the improvement of spatial relationship ability. The science activity was also effective in the improvement of creativity, and especially in the subdomain of originality and sensitiveness. The students who has right brain preference showed much more improvement in the spatial ability compared to left brain preference students after science activity class. However there is no difference between the students who had the right brain preference and left brain preference in the creativity.

  • 동대문 패션상권은 전국의 소매상을 위한 도매의 기능과 함께 현대화된 대형 쇼핑몰을 중심으로 소매의 기능까지 도맡고 있다. 또한 동대문 패션상권은 동대문 1km 반경 내에서 원부자재와 봉제공장, 패션상가 등 관련 산업이 집적되어있어 패션상품의 기획과 생산, 판매 및 유통이 완결되는 매우 독특한 구조를 가지고 있다. 그러나 동대문 패션상권은 보유하고 있는 경쟁력에 비해 급변하는 시장환경의 변화에 적절하게 대응하지 못해 위기를 맞고 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해 정부에서는 여러 가지 노력을 기울였으나 그 효과가 지속적이지 못하고 일회성에 그치고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 시행되고 있는 정책들을 살펴보고 그 정책들이 간과하고 있는 동대문 패션상권의 활성화에 대한 정책을 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 도출, 제안했다.

  • The present operating system for the atmospheric monitoring network in the city of Seoul, Korea, has been established since the late 90s by the Korean Ministry of Environment (KMOE). In this research, it was evaluated by the multi-statistical approaches through combinations of time series analysis, correlation matrix, and multiple cluster analysis. Finally, road traffic including resuspended materials can be one of the main sources of particulate matter in the atmosphere. Based on its importance, it will be significant challenges in quantitative evaluation of its contribution to airborne concentrations. The future directions for their amendments such as a new management plan for the source of road dust (including car emissions) were devised and proposed based on the statistical judgements derived in this research.

  • 지능형국토정보기술혁신사업은 상용화가 가능한 공간정보기술개발을 위해 2006년부터 2012년까지 정부가 추진하고 있는 대형 국가R&D사업이다. 본 사업은 연구 성과물이 실제 현장에 바로 적용될 수 있는 검증된 연구 성과물을 도출하기 위해 세종시를 테스트베드 지역으로 선정하여, 현장실험을 준비하고 있다. 그러나 효과적인 연구 성과물 현장실험을 위해서는 국내외에서 인정받을 수 있는 기준을 만족하는 현장여건을 조성해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 지능형국토정보기술혁신사업의 연구성과물 중 최신 측량장비의 성능 검증을 위한 다양한 요구사항과 세종시 현장여건을 고려하여 테스트베드를 설계하는데 목적을 두었다.

Does Coronal Knee and Ankle Alignment Affect Recurrence of the Varus Deformity after High Tibial Osteotomy?

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate changes in the coronal alignment of the knee and ankle joints after open wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) to determine factors related to the recurrence (R) of the varus deformity by serial analysis. Materials and Methods: Sixty-four OWHTOs were enrolled in this study. The weight bearing line (WBL) ratio, joint line convergence angle (JLCA), knee joint inclination, mechanical axis-tibial plateau angle, talar inclination (TI), and distal tibia articular angle (DTAA) were serially assessed. Serial correlation analysis between all parameters was performed. Patients were divided into R group and no recurrence (NR) group according to the WBL ratio (55%) at postoperative one year. Results: The preoperative WBL ratio showed significantly negative correlation with serial changes of JLCA, TI, and DTAA (p<0.05). The JLCA, TI, and DTAA as well as WBL ratio showed a significantly larger degree of varus alignment in the R group than in NR group at postoperative 6 weeks and 1 year after OWHTO (p<0.05). Conclusions: Sufficient correction of the WBL and restoration of the JLCA during OWHTO are essential to prevention of the R of varus deformity after the surgery because they are the only modifiable factors during surgery. 유아의 또래주도성이 또래수용도에 미치는 영향: 교사-유아 관계의 조절효과를 중심으로 (Effects of Children's Peer Initiative on Peer Acceptance: Focusing on Moderating Effects of Teacher-Child Relationships)

  • Objective: This study aimed to provide a systematic understanding of children's peer initiative and peer acceptance and to offer specific information to increase young children's social competence. Methods: Participants were 235 5-year-old children from six child care centers in Sejong City. The participants were interviewed to measure the peer acceptance of children attending the same class. Also, a survey was conducted on their teachers to measure children's peer initiative and the relationship with them. The collected data were analyzed by hierarchical regression using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The results showed that significant main effects of friendly and unfriendly peer-initiatives on peer acceptance were found. The effects of teacher-child relationships and their moderating effects, however, were partial; only main influences of close relationships and the interaction effects between peer-initiatives and close relationships were significant. That is, the relationships between improper initiatives and low acceptance levels among peers were more intense when children established conflict relationships with their teacher. Conclusion/Implications: We found that close teacher-child relationships play moderating roles on the pathway from peer initiative to peer acceptance as a protective risk factor for children.

테크노파크 역할에 대한 탐색적 연구: 충남 TP성과분석을 중심으로 (Exploratory Analysis Of Performance On ChungNam TechnoPark)

  • A technopark is an industrial and technological complex where personal, material and technological resources, scattered to businesses, academic institutions, research facilities and governments are gathered into a single place. Technopark's role is facets. The aim of this study is to offer new policy services for firms by utilizing the exploratory methodology for Chungnam Technopark's performance for three year (2011 ~2013). Through the findings, this study suggests that policy support for firm's growth in Chung Nam Region have been effective and fruitful in terms of total sale and increase of employees. But, technological performance measured by patents has not enough to catch the innovation. Chungnam Technopark should be more focused on technological policy supports including R&D as well as commercialization. Ultimately in order to have sustainabilities for own firm's growth, firms should keep going on ceaseless create the new technological performance. In that sense, for regional specific industry Technopark's role has been critical for not only firm's current growth but firm's innovation competency.

Safety assessment of an underground tunnel subjected to missile impact using numerical simulations

  • This work presents a safety assessment of an underground tunnel subjected to a ballistic missile attack employing the numerical approach. For the impact simulation, a box shaped reinforced concrete (RC) structure with a cross section dimension of 8.0×10.0 m under a soil layer that was attacked by a SCUD missile was modeled using finite element (FE) software LS-DYNA. SCUD missile is one of a series of tactical ballistic missiles developed by Soviet Union during the Cold War, which is adopted for a short-range ballistic missile. The developed FE simulation for the penetration depth of the missile impacting into the soil structure was verified from the well-known formula of the penetration prediction. The soil-structure interaction, the soil type, and the impact missile velocity effects on the penetration depth of the missile into the different soil types were investigated. The safety assessment of the underground tunnel was performed with regard to the different depths of the underground tunnel. For each missile velocity and soil type, a specific depth called the unsafe depth was obtained from the analysis results. The structure beneath the soil beyond this depth remains safe. The unsafe depth was found to be increased with the increasing missile velocity.

XGBoost를 이용한 교통노드 및 교통링크 기반의 교통사고 예측모델 개발 (Development of Traffic Accident Prediction Model Based on Traffic Node and Link Using XGBoost)

  • This study intends to present a traffic node-based and link-based accident prediction models using XGBoost which is very excellent in performance among machine learning models, and to develop those models with sustainability and scalability. Also, we intend to present those models which predict the number of annual traffic accidents based on road types, weather conditions, and traffic information using XGBoost. To this end, data sets were constructed by collecting and preprocessing traffic accident information, road information, weather information, and traffic information. The SHAP method was used to identify the variables affecting the number of traffic accidents. The five main variables of the traffic node-based accident prediction model were snow cover, precipitation, the number of entering lanes and connected links, and slow speed. Otherwise, those of the traffic link-based accident prediction model were snow cover, precipitation, the number of lanes, road length, and slow speed. As the evaluation results of those models, the RMSE values of those models were each 0.2035 and 0.2107. In this study, only data from Sejong City were used to our models, but ours can be applied to all regions where traffic nodes and links are constructed. Therefore, our prediction models can be extended to a wider range.

Empirical evaluations for predicting the damage of FRC wall subjected to close-in explosions

  • This paper presents a development of empirical evaluations, which can be used to evaluate the damage of fiber-reinforced concrete composites (FRC) wall subjected to close-in blast loads. For this development, a combined application of numerical simulation and machine learning approaches are employed. First, finite element modeling of FRC wall under blast loading is developed and verified using experimental data. Numerical analyses are then carried out to investigate the dynamic behavior of the FRC wall under blast loading. In addition, a data set of 384 samples on the damage of FRC wall due to blast loads is then produced in order to develop machine learning models. Second, three robust machine learning models of Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) are employed to propose empirical evaluations for predicting the damage of FRC wall. The proposed empirical evaluations are very useful for practical evaluation and design of FRC wall subjected to blast loads.
