고품질 DAST 결정성장과 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on crystal growth and properties of high quality DAST)

  • 본 실험은 대형의 고품질 DAST 결정을 위한 결정안정성과 재현성의 향상에 관하여 연구하였다. DAST 결정은 냉각법에 의한 메탄을 포화용액에서 성장시켰으며, 4-methyl-n-methyl pyridinum tosylate의 축합상태로 합성하였다. DAST 분말은 piperidine이 존재한 상태에서 r-picoline. methyl p-tolune sulfonate 그리고 P-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde로부터 제조하였다. 이때 DAST $H_2O$의 생성을 피하기 위하여 dry Argon분위기에서 합성하였다. 이것은 DAST분자가 습한 분위기에서 결정화될 경우 결정구조는 중심 대칭이 되고 그러한 경우에 DAST 미세결정이 습기를 함유하면 2차 비선형 광학특성은 사라지기 때문이다. 우리는 성장방향을 (001)면으로 고정시켰다. 성장조건은 $H_2O$/day로 서냉시켰으며 기간은 4일 동안이었다. seed 결정의 크기는 $2.5\times 3.6\times0.4\textrm{mm}^3$이며 $10\times 10.5\times3.0\textrm{mm}^3$의 DAST 결정을 제조했다. 육성된 DAST는 빨간색이며 메탈릭그린처림 보이는 표면특성을 나타내였다.

  • 1974년(年) 천연(天然)소나무집단(集團)에 대한 유전적변이(遺傳的變異)를 분석(分析)하고져 먼저 경북(慶北) 청송군(靑松郡) 소재(所在) 주왕산(周王山)소나무림(林), 충남(忠南) 서산군(瑞山郡) 소재(所在) 안면도(安眠島) 소나무림(林), 그리고 강원도(江原道) 평창군(平昌郡) 소재(所在) 소나무림(林)을 대상(對象)으로하여 각(各) 집단(集團)에서 되도록 소면적(小面積)의 범위내(範圍內)에 서있는 소나무 개체(個體)를 각(各) 20주(株)씩 총 60주(株)를 택(擇)하여 그 모수(母樹)에 대한 형태학적(形態學的) 특성(特性)등을 조사측정(調査測定)하고 집단간(集團間)에 보이는 차이(差異) 그리고 한 집단내(集團內)에 있는 각개체수목(各個體樹木)의 형질(形質)을 조사보고(調査報告)한바 있다(제일보고문(第一報論文). 1974년(年) 가을에 가계별(家系別)로 종자(種字)을 채취(採取)하여서 가계별(家系別) 및 산지별(産地別)의 차이(差異)를 분석(分析)하고 동시(同時)에 그 종자(種字)를 파종하여서 1-0묘(苗) 및 1-1묘(苗)를 대상(對象)으로 생장인자(生長因子)에 대한 측정(測定)을 하고 그 유전력(遺傳力)을 계산(計算)해 보았다. 그밖에 엽록소함량(葉綠素含量) 또는 monoterpene등의 함량(含量)의 차이(差異)를 분석(分析)해 보았다. 종자(種字)의 형태학적(形態學的) 특성(特性)에 있어서는 집단간(集團間) 또 가계간(家系間)에 유의차(有意差)를 보이지 않는 것도 있었으나 대체(大體)로 유의차(有意差)가 인정(認定)되었다. 그리고 각형질간(各形質間)의 상관(相關)을 보았는데 구과폭(毬果幅)과 종자익(種字翼)의 폭(幅), 구과장(毬果長)과 종자익(種字翼)의 길이간(間), 그리고 구과(毬果) 생중량(生重量)과 종자중량간(種字重量間)에는 정(正)의 상관(相關)이 보였다. 묘고(苗高)와 근원경(根元徑)의 성장(成長)에 있어서는 가계간(家系間) 그리고 집단간(集團間)에 차이(差異)가 인정되었다. 묘고(苗高)의 유전력(遺傳力)은 집단(集團)의 평균치(平均値)를 가지고 분석(分析)하였다. 즉 집단(集團)에 관계(關係)되는 분산(分散)을 유전분산(遺傳分散)으로 보고서 유전력(遺傳力)을 계산(計算)해 보았는데 1-0묘(苗)의 묘고(苗高)에서는 0.29, 1-1묘(苗)에서는 0.14가 그리고 근원경(根元徑)에 있어서는 1-0묘(苗)는 0.15, 1-1묘(苗)에서는 0.06이였다. 기공열수(氣孔列數)에 있어서는 집단간차이(集團間差異)가 있었으나 거치밀도(鋸齒密度)에는 차이(差異)가 없었다. 침엽(針葉)의 특성(特性)에 관(關)해서는 모수(母樹)와 차대간(次代間)에 상관(相關)이 없었다. 엽록소함량(葉綠素含量)은 집단간차이(集團間差異)는 보였으나 가계간차이(家系間差異)는 없었다. monoterpene의 성분(成分)에 있어서는 myrcene과 ${\beta}$-phellandrene의 함량(含量)으로 집단차(集團差)를 볼 수 있었다.

통영 연안에 분포하는 거머리말의 계절변동과 생식특성 (Phenology of Zostera marina at Tongyeong in Southern Coast of Korea)

  • We investigated the variation of morphological features, density, biomass and characteristics of reproductive shoot on Zostera marina. This species was monthly monitored and collected during a year in Tongyeong (from January 2016 to December 2016). Morphological features, biomass and density showed significantly seasonal variation (p<0.001). Dimensions of Z. marina were highest in spring and early summer but lowest in winter. Biomass and leaf density of Z. marina showed highest value in May (4,700.5 g w·wt m-2) and June (858.0 leaves m-2) respectively and lowest value in November (515.9 g w·wt m-2 and 312.0 leaves m-2). Reproductive shoot was monitored from April (13℃) to June (21℃) and grew up to ca. 200 cm. Spathe length, spadix weight, numbers and weight of fruit showed significantly different on monthly. None mature flowers were monitored in April but matured flowers, fruits were founded in May and seed releasing were occurred in June.

LDV에 의한 곡관 후류에 연결된 직관에서 난류맥동유동의 유동특성 (Flow Characteristics of a Turbulent Pulsating Flow in a Straight Duct Connected to a Curved Duct by using an LDV)

  • In the present study, the flow characteristics of developing turbulent flows are investigated at the exit region of a square cross-sectional 180" curved duct with dimensions of 40mm$\times$40mm$\times$4000mm (height $\times$ width $\times$length). Smoke particles produced from mosquito coils were used as seed particles for the LDV measurement. Experiments were carried out to measure axial velocity profiles, shear stress distributions and entrance lengths by using an LDV system and Rotating Machinery Resolver RMR with PHASE software. Experimental results clearly show that the time-averaged Reynolds number does not affect oscillatory flow characteristics because the turbulent components tend to balance the oscillatory components in the fully developed flow region. Also, the velocity profiles are in good agreement with 1/7power law such as the results of steady turbulent flows. The turbulent intensity linearly increases along the walls and is slightly higher, especially in the period of deceleration. On the other hand, the LDV measurements show that shear stress values in slightly higher in the period of deceleration due to the flow characteristics in the exit region. The entrance length where flows become stable appears at the point that is 40 times the length of hydraulic diameter.eter.

RF Integrated Electromagnetic-Noise Filters Incorporated with Nano-granular Co41Fe38AI13O8 Soft Magnetic Thin Films on Coplanar Transmission Line

  • The RF integrated noise filters are fabricated by photolithography. The stack for the electromagnetic noise filters consists of the nano-granular ($Co_{41}Fe_{38}AI_{13}O_8$) soft magnetic film / $SiO_2$ / Cu transmission line / seed layer (Cu/Ti) / $SiO_2$-substrate. A good signal-attenuation feature along with a low signal-reflection feature is observed in the present filters. Especially in the noise filter incorporated with a $Co_{41}Fe_{38}AI_{13}O_8$ magnetic film with lateral dimensions of $2000{\mu}m$ wide, 15 mm long and $1{\mu}m$ thick, the maximum magnitude of signal attenuation reaches -55 dB, and the magnitude of signal reflection is below -10 dB in the overall frequency range. And this level of signal attenuation is much larger than that of a noise filter incorporated with a Fe magnetic film.

50세 이상 한국인의 식물성 단백질 섭취와 건강 관련 삶의 질과의 연관성: 국민건강영양조사 2016-2018 (Plant Proteins in Relation to Health-related Quality of Life in South Korean Individuals Aged 50 Years or Older: Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2016-2018)

  • 본 연구에서는 50세 이상 한국인을 대상으로 식물성 단백질 섭취와 건강관련 삶의 질과의 연관성을 분석하였다. 2016~2018년 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여 7,956명(남성 3,434명, 여성 4,522명)이 연구에 포함하였다. 건강관련 삷의 질은 신체 기능, 자기 관리, 일상 활동, 통증/불쾌감, 불안/우울 문제로 구성된 삶의 질 5차원 지표(EQ5D)를 사용하여 측정하였다. 식물성 단백질 일일 섭취량과 건강관련 삶의 질 사이의 연관성은 회귀 분석을 사용하여 평가하였다. 총 식물성 단백질, 콩과 견과류 종자(LNS) 및 발효 콩(FERMB) 단백질의 섭취는 남성과 여성 모두에서 건강관련 삷의 질과 건강관련 삷의 질과 유의미한 연관이 있었다(p < 0.01). EQ5D의 지표 중 신체 기능과 일상 활동이 식물성 단백질 섭취와 가장 밀접한 관련이 있었다. LNS 단백질이나 FERMB 단백질 섭취에 비해 총 식물성 단백질 섭취가 건강관련 삷의 질과 더 큰 연관성을 보였다. 결론적으로, 식물성 단백질 섭취와 건강관련 삷의 질 사이에는 유의미한 연관성이 있었다. 이는 식물성 단백질의 적절한 섭취가 한국 성인의 건강관련 삷의 질 유지 또는 개선에 도움이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

Crystal pulling법에 의한 Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O계의 결정 성장과 특성 평가 (Growth and characterization of a Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O phase by crystal pulling method)

  • $Bi_2Sr_2Ca_{n-1}Cu_nOy$(BSCCO)계는 강한 이방성의 움직임을 갖는 초전도체로서 잘 알려져 있으며, 결정육성시 성장방향의 제어에 큰 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 종자 결정과 도가니의 회전을 이용한 crystal pulling법을 이용하여 Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O계의 결정성장을 시도하였으며, 이로부터 $5{\times}5{\times}5{\textrm}{mm}^3$ 크기의 비교적 큰 결정을 성장하였. 또한 성장결정의 초전도 특성을 조사하였으며, $BiO_{1.5}$ -(Sr, Ca)O-CuO 3원 상태도에서의 결정화 가능 영역을 검토하였다.

커피전문점 방문동기유형에 따른 시장세분화 (Market Segmentation Based on Types of Motivations to Visit Coffee Shops)

  • Purpose - The primary purpose of this study is to employ effective marketing methods using market segmentation of coffee shops by determining how motivations to visit coffee shops have different impacts on demographic profile of visitors and characteristics of coffee shop visits, so as to draw out a better understanding of customers of coffee market. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected using surveys of self-administered questionnaires toward coffee shop users in Daejeon, Korea. A number of samples used in data analysis were 253 excluding unusable responses. The data were analyzed through frequency, reliability, and factor analysis using SPSS 20.0. Factor analysis was conducted through the principal component analysis and varimax rotation method to derive factors of one or more eigen values. In addition, the cluster analysis, multivariate ANOVA, and cross-tab analysis were used for the market segmentation based on the types of motivation for coffee shop visits. The process of the cluster analysis is as follows. Four clusters were derived through hierarchical clustering, and k-means cluster analysis was then carried out using mean value of the four clusters as the initial seed value. Result - The factor analysis delineated four dimensions of motivation to visit coffee shops: ostentation motivation, hedonic motivation, esthetic motivation, utility motivation. The cluster analysis yielded four clusters: utility and esthetic seekers, hedonic seekers, utility seekers, ostentation seekers. In order to further specify the profile of four clusters, each cluster was cross tabulated with socio-demographics and characteristics of coffee shop visits. Four clusters are significantly different from each other by four types of motivations for coffee shop visits. Conclusions - This study has empirically examined the difference in demographic profile of visitors and characteristics of coffee shop visits by motivation to visit coffee shops. There are significant differences according to age, education background, marital status, occupation and monthly income. In addition, coffee shops use pattern characterization in frequency of visits to coffee shops, relationships with companion, purpose of visit, information sources, brand type, average expense per visit, important elements of selection attribute were significantly different depending on motivations for coffee shop visits.

  • Principles of a novel pulse growing method are described. The method realized in the crystal growing on a seed from melts under raw melt feeding provided a more reliable control of the crystallization process when producing large alkali halide crystals. The slow natural convection of the melt in the crucible at a constant melt level is intensified by rotating the crucible, while the crystal rotation favors a more symmetrical distribution of thermal stresses over the crystal cross-section. Optimum rotation parameters for the crucible and crystal have been determined. The spatial position oi the solid/liquid phase interface relatively to the melt surface, heaters and the crucible elements are considered. Basing on that consideration, a novel criterion is stated, that is, the immersion extent of the crystallization front (CF) convex toward the melt. When the crystal grows at a <> CF immersion, the raised CF may tear off from the melt partially or completely due to its weight. This results in avoid formation in the crystal. Experimental data on the radial crystal growth speed are discussed. This speed defines the formation of a gas phase layer at the crystal surface. The layer thickness il a function of time a temperature at specific values of pressure in the furnace and the free melt surface dimensions in the gap between the crystal and crucible wall. Analytical expressions have been derived for the impurity component mass transfer at the steady-state growth stage describing two independent processes, the impurity mass transfer along the <> path and its transit along the <> one. The heater (and thus the melt) temperature variation is inherent in any control system. It has been shown that when random temperature changes occur causing its lowering at a rate exceeding $0.5^{\circ}C/min$, a kind of the CF decoration by foreign impurities or by gas bubbles takes place. Short-term temperature changes at one heater or both result in local (i.e., at the front) redistribution of the preset axial growth speed.

The Effect of Protein Source and Formaldehyde Treatment on Growth and Carcass Composition of Awassi Lambs

  • A trial with twenty-four newly weaned Awassi lambs (initial body weight=21.5$\pm$0.8 kg) was conducted using a 3$\times$2 factorial design to study the effect of feeding three sources of protein supplements (soybean meal (SBM), sunflower seed meal (SSM), and cottonseed meal (CSM)), either untreated or formaldehyde-treated on the growth performance and carcass traits of Awassi lambs. Lambs were randomly assigned to one of the six diets (4 lambs/treatment diet) and were individually fed for a period of 107 days. Experimental diets were isonitrogenous and isocaloric. Final live weight and average daily gain (ADG) were affected by both source of protein and formaldehyde treatment (undegradable protein). Lambs fed untreated diets had better (p<0.01) daily gain compared to those fed formaldehyde-treated diets. Similarly total feed intake per animal was significantly (p<0.05) affected by protein source and formaldehyde treatment. Formaldehyde treatment caused a significant decrease (p<0.01) in feed intake compared to lambs fed untreated diets. Feed requirement per unit of gain was not affected by formaldehyde treatment during all periods of the experiment except for the second period (the second 28 day period), whereby untreated SBM, SSM and CSM had better feed conversion ratio (FCR) than the treated groups. Source of protein had a moderate effect (p<0.10) on FCR but had a significant effect (p<0.05) on hot and cold carcass weight, digestive tract empty weight and liver weight, with lambs fed SBM having higher values than lambs fed SSM and CSM diets. Supplementation with undegradable protein had a significant effect (p<0.05) on dressing-out percentage (p<0.05), final live weight, and hot and cold carcass weight (p<0.01). The lower values pertain to lambs fed treated diets compared to lambs fed untreated diets. In general, there were no significant differences among all carcass linear dimensions, carcass cut weights and dissected loin tissue weights for both treatments (protein source and formaldehyde treatment). Supplementation with undegradable protein but not the source of protein resulted in significantly higher dissected leg total bone weight (p<0.05), tibia and femur weight (p<0.05), and femur length (p<0.01) at the same carcass weight. Results suggest that the treatment of SBM, SSM and CSM with formaldehyde did not improve efficiency of feed utilization, lamb performance or carcass traits and that the SBM diet resulted in an increase in lamb performance compared to other experimental diets.
