  • This study examines the effect of using interactive electronic models to teach mathematical concepts on students' achievement in the linear algebra course at university. The field sample consisted of 200 students divided into two equal groups, an experimental group of 100 students and a control group of 100 students. The researcher used an achievement test in some mathematical concepts related to linear algebra. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences (0.05) between the average achievement scores of the experimental and control groups in the post application of the achievement test, in favor of the experimental group. The size of the influence of the independent factor on the results of the study, which is "interactive electronic forms", on the dependent factor, which is the students' academic achievement in the prepared test, had a very large effect. Also, the results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre and post applications of the achievement test, in favor of the post application. The researcher recommended the use of interactive electronic models in teaching mathematical concepts at the university level and diversifying the strategies of teaching mathematics, using technology to attract learners and raise their academic achievement.

  • Comparable encryption allows a verifier to test whether given two ciphertexts from a probabilistic public key cryptosystem are encryption of the same message without decrypting them. Recently, Yang et al. proposed such scheme and Lee et al. and Tang independently modified Yang et al.'s system to restrict the entity who can perform the verification. However, the original Yang et al.'s scheme has a flaw that enables two ciphertexts which are not encryption of the same message to pass the test. In this paper, we concretely show the faults in all three schemes considered and analyze the effect of this flaw in the use of such schemes in applications.

  • Sub-station, key equipment in electric power infrastructure, are being exposed to increasing risk of hacking. For this, soft redundancy sub-station system needs to be formulated with automatic restoration mechanism. For this it is important to assess the reliability of the applicable range of data that are used in actual system operation, as well as the methods and findings of the tests. At the same time performance of soft redundancy system and total security mechanism, which are aligned for the protection of the sub-station, need to be tested. For testing the above-mentioned, this paper presented a viable formation of a soft redundancy practical VPN system within a panel to protect the latter from hacking or cracking incidences, and conducts a test to check if the considered system actually serves the protection function in the actual operation setting, gathering evidence from the data from the testing of the actual performance of the system as well as of emergency scenario simulation operations. Because tested soft-redundancy & restorative sub-station system is expected to be widely applicable for various cases such as Smart-grid or electricity IT system, where VPN with enhanced level of security is required.

  • How to discover router vulnerabilities effectively and automatically is a critical problem to ensure network and information security. Previous research on router security is mostly about the technology of exploiting known flaws of routers. Fuzzing is a famous automated vulnerability finding technology; however, traditional Fuzzing tools are designed for testing network applications or other software. These tools are not or partly not suitable for testing routers. This paper designs a framework of discovering router protocol vulnerabilities, and proposes a mathematical model Two-stage Fuzzing Test Cases Generator(TFTCG) that improves previous methods to generate test cases. We have developed a tool called RPFuzzer based on TFTCG. RPFuzzer monitors routers by sending normal packets, keeping watch on CPU utilization and checking system logs, which can detect DoS, router reboot and so on. RPFuzzer' debugger based on modified Dynamips, which can record register values when an exception occurs. Finally, we experiment on the SNMP protocol, find 8 vulnerabilities, of which there are five unreleased vulnerabilities. The experiment has proved the effectiveness of RPFuzzer.

  • The solubility of Cloxacillin sodium in ethanol, 1-propanol, isopropanol, and acetone solutions was measured at different temperatures. The melting property was also tested by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Then, the solubility data were fitted using Apelblat equation and λh equation, respectively. The Wilson model and NRTL model were not utilized to correlate the test data, since Cloxacillin sodium will decompose directly after melting. For comparison purposes, the four empirical models, i.e., Apelblat equation, λh equation, Wilson model and NRTL Model, were evaluated by using 1155 solubility curves of 103 solutes tested under different monosolvents and temperatures. The comparison results indicate that the Apelblat equation is superior to the others. Furthermore, a new method (named the calculation method) for determining the Apelblat equation using only three data points was proposed to solve the problem that there may not be enough solute in the determination of solubility. The log-logistic distribution function was used to further capture the trend of the correlation and to make better quantitative comparison between predicted data and the experimental ones for the Apelblat equation determined by different methods (fitting method or calculation method). It is found that the proposed calculation method not only greatly reduces the number of test data points, but also has satisfactory prediction accuracy.

  • In this study, the image quality assessment, especially spatial resolution evaluation, for Sparse-view CT reconstructed images was performed. The main goal of the experiment is to evaluate Modulation Transfer Function by using American Standard Method for Measurement of Computed Tomography System Performance(ASTM E1695-95) which uses the edge test object. To compare with the ASTM method, a different method, the radial-type edge profile, to measure MTF using the edge method also performed. Both approaches were tested on the same image acquired by the stationary-gantry sparse-view CT security-screening system using cylindrical test phantom manufactured in accordance with ANSI 42.45. Both of the spatial resolutions at 10% modulation are 0.195, 0.203lp pixel-1, respectively. The method implemented by ASTM E1695-95 showed higher reliability and had a relatively more accurate spatial resolution result than the radial-type edge profile method.
