In order to achieve the goal of protecting medical images, some existing watermark techniques for medical image protection mainly focus on improving the invisibility and robustness properties of the method, in order to prevent unnecessary medical disputes. This paper proposes a novel copyright method for medical image protection based on visual secret sharing (VSS) and cellular automata transform (CAT). This method uses the protected medical image feature as well as VSS and a watermark to produce the ownership share image (OSI). The OSI is used for medical image verification and must be registered to a certified authority. In the watermark extraction process, the suspected medical image is used to generate a master share image (MSI). The watermark can be extracted by combining the MSI and the OSI. Different from other traditional methods, the proposed method does not need to modify the medical image in order to protect the copyright of the image. Moreover, the registered OSI used to verify the ownership and its appearance display meaningful information, facilitating image management. Finally, the results of the final experiment can prove the effectiveness of our method.

This paper proposes a novel steganography method to hide secret data during the generation of tangle patterns. Different from the traditional steganography based on modifying natural images, we propose to construct stego images according to the secret messages. We first create a model to group a selected image contour, and define some basic operations to generate various pattern cells. During data hiding, we create a cell library to establish the relationships between cells and secret data. By painting the cell inside the image contour, we create a dense tangle pattern to carry secret data. With the proposed method, a recipient can extract the secret data correctly. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a flexible embedding capacity. The constructed stego tangle image has good visual effects, and is secure against adversaries. Meanwhile, the stego tangle pattern is also robust to JPEG compression.

The enormous prevalence of transferring official confidential digital documents via the Internet shows the urgent need to deliver confidential messages to the recipient without letting any unauthorized person to know contents of the secret messages or detect there existence . Several Steganography techniques such as the least significant Bit (LSB), Secure Cover Selection (SCS), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and Palette Based (PB) were applied to prevent any intruder from analyzing and getting the secret transferred message. The utilized steganography methods should defiance the challenges of Steganalysis techniques in term of analysis and detection. This paper presents a novel and robust framework for color image steganography that combines Linear Congruential Generator (LCG), simulated annealing (SA), Cesar cryptography and LSB substitution method in one system in order to reduce the objection of Steganalysis and deliver data securely to their destination. SA with the support of LCG finds out the optimal minimum sniffing path inside a cover color image (RGB) then the confidential message will be encrypt and embedded within the RGB image path as a host medium by using Cesar and LSB procedures. Embedding and extraction processes of secret message require a common knowledge between sender and receiver; that knowledge are represented by SA initialization parameters, LCG seed, Cesar key agreement and secret message length. Steganalysis intruder will not understand or detect the secret message inside the host image without the correct knowledge about the manipulation process. The constructed system satisfies the main requirements of image steganography in term of robustness against confidential message extraction, high quality visual appearance, little mean square error (MSE) and high peak signal noise ratio (PSNR).

The goal of the secret message communication on the internet is to maintain invisibility and confidentiality. Digital steganography is a technique in which a secret message is inserted in a cover medium and transmitted to a destination so that a third party can not perceive the existence of the message itself. Steganography is an efficient method for ensuring confidentiality and integrity together with encryption techniques. In order to insert a secret (Hangul) message, I propose a image steganography method that the secret character is separated and converted into binary code with reference to the encryption table, the cover image is divided into two areas, and the secret message and the right l-LSB information of the second area are encrypted and crossed, concealing the k-LSB of the first region. The experimental results of the proposed method show that the PSNR value is 52.62 and the acceptable image quality level.
A camouflaged encryption scheme based on Hadamard matrix and ghost imaging is proposed. In the process of the encryption, an orthogonal matrix is used as the projection pattern of ghost imaging to improve the definition of the reconstructed images. The ciphertext of the secret image is constrained to the camouflaged image. The key of the camouflaged image is obtained by the method of sparse decomposition by principal component orthogonal basis and the constrained ciphertext. The information of the secret image is hidden into the information of the camouflaged image which can improve the security of the system. In the decryption process, the authorized user needs to extract the key of the secret image according to the obtained random sequences. The real encrypted information can be obtained. Otherwise, the obtained image is the camouflaged image. In order to verify the feasibility, security and robustness of the encryption system, binary images and gray-scale images are selected for simulation and experiment. The results show that the proposed encryption system simplifies the calculation process, and also improves the definition of the reconstructed images and the security of the encryption system.

The traditional key exchange protocols are transmitted by using the cryptographic. However, these protocols are compromised by the attacker. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a key exchange protocol based on the steganography with the QR code. The steganography technique embed secret information to the images, documents, videos, and MP3 files and transmit to the others. The attacker can't know that the transmission data is the secret data. Therefore, the sender transmits efficiently and safely the secret data to the others. In additional, the cover image is using the QR code image to insert the secret key. If attackers scan the QR code, then they just read the information or connect URL. They can not be recognized that the QR code image is hiding the secret key. The experiments compare the QR code image with the well-known image about the distortion and the safety.

Security of information during transmission is a major issue in this modern era. All of the communicating bodies want confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of their secret information. Researchers have presented various schemes to cope with these Internet security issues. In this context, both steganography and cryptography can be used effectively. However, major limitation in the existing steganographic methods is the low-quality output stego images, which consequently results in the lack of security. To cope with these issues, we present an efficient method for RGB images based on gray level modification (GLM) and multi-level encryption (MLE). The secret key and secret data is encrypted using MLE algorithm before mapping it to the grey-levels of the cover image. Then, a transposition function is applied on cover image prior to data hiding. The usage of transpose, secret key, MLE, and GLM adds four different levels of security to the proposed algorithm, making it very difficult for a malicious user to extract the original secret information. The proposed method is evaluated both quantitatively and qualitatively. The experimental results, compared with several state-of-the-art algorithms, show that the proposed algorithm not only enhances the quality of stego images but also provides multiple levels of security, which can significantly misguide image steganalysis and makes the attack on this algorithm more challenging.

In secret communication, steganography is the sending and receiving of secret messages without being recognized by a third party. In the spatial domain method bitwise information is inserted into the virtual bit plane of the decomposed pixel values of the image. That is, the bitwise secret message is sequentially inserted into the least significant bit(LSB) of the image, which is a cover medium. In terms of application, the LSB is simple, but has a drawback that can be easily detected by a third party. If the upper bit plane is used to increase security, the image quality may deteriorate. In this paper, I present a method for concealing Hangul secret messages in image steganography based on the lo-th bit plane and the decomposition of modified pixel intensity values. After decomposing the Hangeul message to be hidden into choseong, jungseong and jongseong, then a shuffling process is applied to increase confidentiality and robustness. PSNR was used to confirm the efficiency of the proposed method. It was confirmed that the proposed technique has a smaller effect in terms of image quality than the method applying BCD and Fibonacci when inserting a secret message in the upper bit plane. When compared with the reference value, it was confirmed that the PSNR value of the proposed method was appropriate.

The information is to be considered as important part of any network, the communication nodes within network can able to communicate and transmit information by the means of configured LAN/WAN, or/and using internet technology. Thus, vast enhancement has been made in- exchanging of information over transmission media, this should be beneficial in various disciplines of modern client/server applications but at other side, several massive vulnerabilities have been directly/in-directly associated with them. To resolve the security issues, a security mechanism is proposed which hide the sensitive information of images before transmitting to networks. Random size image samples have used and encrypted to protect them from unauthorized entities. The encryption mechanism manipulates the sample images, and corresponding secret codes are generated which help to protect the images from adversaries. To provide an indestructible security mechanism, cryptography algorithms are deployed and considered as best solutions to keep the secret information of images.

In this paper, we introduce concepts of optimal and near optimal secret data hiding schemes. We present a new digital image steganography approach based on the Galois field $GF(p^m)$ using graph and automata to design the data hiding scheme of the general form ($k,N,{\lfloor}{\log}_2p^{mn}{\rfloor}$) for binary, gray and palette images with the given assumptions, where k, m, n, N are positive integers and p is prime, show the sufficient conditions for the existence and prove the existence of some optimal and near optimal secret data hiding schemes. These results are derived from the concept of the maximal secret data ratio of embedded bits, the module approach and the fastest optimal parity assignment method proposed by Huy et al. in 2011 and 2013. An application of the schemes to the process of hiding a finite sequence of secret data in an image is also considered. Security analyses and experimental results confirm that our approach can create steganographic schemes which achieve high efficiency in embedding capacity, visual quality, speed as well as security, which are key properties of steganography.
