Recently, Proxy Mobile IPv6(PMIPv6) networks have been drawing attention as the mobility management protocol that uses limited wireless resources effectively. And the multicast, which is a core technology of the Internet broadcast system such as mobile IPTV, has been widely discussed mainly based on PMIPv6 network. However, PMIPv6-based multicast cannot support the global mobility directly between different PMIPv6 domains because PMIPv6 is basically designed for local mobility in single PMIPv6 domain. Moreover, PMIPv6-based multicast causes the disconnection of services because it does not solve the packet loss problem during binding and group joining procedure. In this paper, we propose a global mobility scheme that supports the seamless multicast service in PMIPv6 networks. The proposed scheme supports the global mobility due to the addition of extra signalling messages between LMAs. Also, it achieves low latency because it performs fast binding and group joining procedure. We present the simulation results which show that the proposed scheme achieves the global mobility with low latency through the NS-2 simulation.

To construct seamless collaborative environments, what all participants intent should be delivered, and visual elements such gesture, facial expression, and ambiance should be shared with all participants. In this paper, we propose high-quality video service to support DV(digital video) and HDV(high-definition DV) based on Access Grid(AG) which is a prevalent collaborative system. The proposed service is designed for employing versatile media tools and codecs with SDP(session description protocol) and SAP(session announcement protocol). We also design network-adaptive video transmission module to mitigate the impact of network fluctuation. This periodically monitors multicast performance and controls frame rate on sender side considering network condition. The experimental results over the test bed show that proposed service enhances quality of AG video service and provides seamless high-quality video transport by mitigating the impact of network fluctuation.

This paper focuses on the consideration of not only QoS parameters in wired network, but also QoS parameters in wireless network that supported for the Efficient QoS in the Al1 Service Levels. So, We supposed the "Efficient QoS Model" that guaranteed the QoS parameters "Loss Profile" , "Service Degradation" , "Latency and Jittering" , "Mobility of Mobile User" , "Probability of seamless communication" in wired-wireless networks. And the Method of Efficient QoS support that we supposed consists of "Multicast Routing-RSVP Protocol architecture based on Mobile IP" and "Protocols internetworking model ".

The development of multimedia applications has followed the development of high-speed networks. By improving the performance of mobile devices, it is possible to provide high-transfer-speed broadband and seamless mobile multicasting services between indoor and outdoor environments. Multicasting services support efficient group communications. However, mobile multicasting services have two constraints: tunnel convergence and handoff latency. In order to solve these problems, many protocols and handoff methods have been studied. In this paper, we propose inter local mobility anchor (inter-LMA) optimized handoff model for mobile multicasting services in proxy mobility IPv6 based (PMIPv6-based) networks. The proposed model removes the tunnel convergence issue and reduces the router processing costs. Further, it the proposed model allows for the execution of fast handoff operations with adaptive transmission mechanisms. In addition, the proposed scheme exhibits low packet delivery costs and handoff latency in comparison with existing schemes and ensures fast handoff when moving the inter-LMA domain.

Currently, several research studies are looking to improve the quality of DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) based live streaming services. However, conventional DASH based streaming schemes cannot provide seamless playback while maintaining the low buffering and it adversely affects the QoE (Quality of Experience). To address this problem, we propose the QoE driven segment scheduling scheme. The proposed scheme adaptively schedules the segment request message according to the time and variation of segment fetching. Simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme improves the QoE of live streaming service by maintaining the low buffering delay and reducing the buffer underflow events.

As various portable digital devices are developed, the space of the TV audience is expanding. We propose a structure of broadcasting control in VOD service in which viewers can resume the viewing of digital broadcasting contents in different devices after they have stopped the viewing to move to another place. Then we design a session and resource management system of VOD for this control. In particular, we design the session management of each consumer and simulate the seamless VOD connection model.
