인천-영종 간 해상수송시스템 구축을 위한 경제적 타당성 분석 (A Feasibility Study on the Economic Aspect of Sea Transportation System between Inchon and Youngjong Island)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic aspect of sea transportation system between Inchon and Youngjong island in which Inchon international airport is being constructed. Total demand of sea transportation arising from in the airport and Yongyu Muwi leisure complex was estimated. To select optimum transportation route, environmental conditions in and around Inchon harbour and Youngjong island including the change of water depth by tide current, fog, rain, wind adn typhoon, ets., were investigated. The preliminary consideration on ships (size, velocity, transport capacity, price), routes, operational modes, terminals and berthing facilities were carried out. The transportation cost per passenger by sea transportation system was estimated to compare with that of land transportation system. It was found that sea transportation system proposed is competitive to the transportation system.

해상운송 하중측정 (A Measurement of Sea Transportation Load)

  • 본 문서는 KSLV-I의 해상운송과정에서 겪게 될 진동하중조건의 기초자료 획득을 위해 수행된 해상운송 측정결과를 요약정리 한다. KSLV-I은 부산에서 전남 고흥 외나로도의 우주센터로 해상을 통해 운송될 예정이다. 해상운송시의 진동하중은 발사체나 이송치구를 설계할때 반드시 고려되어야 하는 설계인자 중 하나로서, 실제 해상운송시의 하중을 측정하여 그 크기를 확인해야 할 필요가 있다. 본 문서에서는 KSLV-I을 수송할 선박과 동일한 규모인 바지선(예인선으로 견인)을 대상으로 운항중에 3축가속도와 3축각속도 신호를 측정하여 해상운송하중을 획득한 결과를 보여준다. 그 결과 기존의 미군사규격이나 Zenit-3SL(Sea Launch)의 하중조건보다 양호함을 확인할 수 있었다.

인천지역의 복합운송체계별 발전방안 연구 - 인천과 상해이북지역 중심으로 - (A Study on a development plan for multi-transportation in Incheon: Focused on Incheon and main cities in Northern China)

  • 본 연구에서는 국제적인 공항과 항만을 동시에 지닌 인천의 복합운송시스템 구축을 위한 역할과 과제는 무엇인지 살펴보기 위해 물류기업 및 공공기관, 연구기관 임직원을 대상으로 개별 심층면접조사(Depth Interview)를 실시하여 국제복합운송 물류거점 선점을 위한 경쟁력 요인선정, 주요 도시별 복합운송측면에서의 경쟁력 점수를 측정하였다. 주요 도시별 경쟁력 최종 점수를 100점 만점으로 환산하여 살펴보면 1위는 상해(64.8점), 2위 홍콩(64.5점), 3위 인천(62.9점), 4위 부산(60.4점) 등으로 나타나 인천이 향후 동북아지역에서 국제복합운송 물류거점으로서 발전할 수 있는 잠재력은 어느 정도 보유한 것으로 평가되었다. 또한 본 연구 분석 결과를 토대로 인천지역이 동북아 지역의 복합운송거점으로서의 나아가야 할 발전방안에 대해서 제시하면 첫째, 인천-천진간 해공복합운송 공동물류센터 건립 및 제도 간소화 협정체결사업이 필요하며, 둘째, 인천-상해간 해륙복합운송활성화를 위한 페리-트럭 복합운송 활성화를 위한 선박에서 통관절차 수행 등의 제도 개선 추진사업이 요구된다.

경인운하용 바아지시스템의 수송효율에 관한 연구 (On the Transportation Efficiency of Barge System in Kyongin Canal)

  • 현재, 유럽에서 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있는 수송모델로서 바다와 강을 연계한 Sea-river 수송모델은 황해권 지역에서의 국내 외 화물수송과 여객수송에 있어 장래에 매우 중요한 역할을 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 육상수송에 따른 국내 교통 혼잡문제와 극동아시아 국가의 화물량 증대로 인한 물류 문제의 개선을 위해 경인운하의 운항조건에 적합한 sea-river 연계 바아지선단의 수송모델을 제안한다. 즉, 본 연구에서는 경인운하의 형상과 크기 등의 제한조건 등을 고려하여 바아지선단의 수송효율 측면의 경제성을 바탕으로 경인운하를 이용한 황해권의 sea-river 연계 수송모델로서 효율적인 바아지선단 구성의 표준화를 제시하고자 한다.

Rolling Test Simulation of Sea Transport of Spent Nuclear Fuel Under Normal Transport Conditions

  • In this study, the impact load resulting from collision with the fuel rods of surrogate spent nuclear fuel (SNF) assemblies was measured during a rolling test based on an analysis of the data from surrogate SNF-loaded sea transportation tests. Unfortunately, during the sea transportation tests, excessive rolling motion occurred on the ship during the test, causing the assemblies to slip and collide with the canister. Hence, we designed and conducted a separate test to simulate rolling in sea transportation to determine whether such impact loads can occur under normal conditions of SNF transport, with the test conditions for the fuel assembly to slide within the basket experimentally determined. Rolling tests were conducted while varying the rolling angle and frequency to determine the angles and frequencies at which the assemblies experienced slippage. The test results show that slippage of SNF assemblies can occur at angles of approximately 14° or greater because of rolling motion, which can generate impact loads. However, this result exceeds the conditions under which a vessel can depart for coastal navigation, thus deviating from the normal conditions required for SNF transport. Consequently, it is not necessary to consider such loads when evaluating the integrity of SNFs under normal transportation conditions.

Development of Model to Evaluate Thermal Fluid Flow Around a Submerged Transportation Cask of Spent Nuclear Fuel in the Deep Sea

  • Given the domestic situation, all nuclear power plants are located at the seaside, where interim storage sites are also likely to be located and maritime transportation is considered inevitable. Currently, Korea does not have an independently developed maritime transportation risk assessment code, and no research has been conducted to evaluate the release rate of radioactive waste from a submerged transportation cask in the sea. Therefore, secure technology is necessary to assess the impact of immersion accidents and establish a regulatory framework to assess, mitigate, and prevent maritime transportation accidents causing serious radiological consequences. The flow rate through a gap in a containment boundary should be calculated to determine the accurate release rate of radionuclides. The fluid flow through the micro-scale gap can be evaluated by combining the flow inside and outside the transportation cask. In this study, detailed computational fluid dynamic and simplified models are constructed to evaluate the internal flow in a transportation cask and to capture the flow and heat transfer around the transportation cask in the sea, respectively. In the future, fluid flow through the gap will be evaluated by coupling the models developed in this study.

근해운송을 고려한 국제컨테이너 화물운송의 최적화 (Optimization of the Transportation of International Container Cargoes Considering Short Sea Shipping)

  • This paper considers the problem of determining the cargo flow and the transportation mode in each trade route while satisfying the demand. Especially, the problem incorporates short sea shipping in Korea, which is becoming more important in order to improve efficiency of Logistics. The objective is to minimize the sum of shipping and inland transportation costs. To solve optimally the problem, this paper employs a linear programming model, which is an operations research technique for optimization. The problem is formulated by extending the well-known network design problem by considering capacity at seaport and limitation of total number of vehicles. The model is solved using CPLEX, a commercial linear program software. The test results using a real cargo flow data in Korea show that the model represents closely the real situation.

Data analysis of simulated fuel-loaded sea transportation tests under normal conditions of transport

  • In this study, to evaluate the shock and vibration load characteristics of used fuel, a sea transportation test was conducted using simulated fuel assemblies under normal transport conditions. An overall test data analysis was performed based on the measured strain and acceleration data obtained from cruise, rotation, acceleration, braking, depth of water, and rolling tests. In addition, shock response spectrum and power spectral densities were obtained for each test case. Amplification and attenuation characteristics were investigated based on the load path. The load was amplified as it passed from the overpack to the simulated used fuel-assembly. As a result of the RMS trend analysis, the fuel-loading position of the transportation package affected the measured strain in the fuel rod, and the maximum strains were obtained at the spans with large spacing. However, even these maximum strains were very small compared to the fatigue strength and the cladding yield strength. Moreover, the fuel rods located on the side exhibited a larger strain value than those at the center.

한.중간 열차페리를 이용한 화물수송방안연구 (Study on Freight Transportation with Train Ferry between Korea and China)

  • Trade between Korea and China was 372million dollars accounting for 1.56% of total in 1988 and has been increased to 23,689 million dollars occupying 7% in 1997, which implies 32.2% increase on average per year. This trend will continue dramatically and consistently as China's open policy toward the world accelerates and korean companies advance into chinese market. The main trade routes are with marine transportation between korean west sea area and chinese San-Dong peninsula around east sea. However, due to the increasing traffic congestion on main roads connecting harbors and main consumer cities and capacity problem in west sea harbor areas, the logistics cost have been increased resulting in losing competitiveness of freight trade. Therefore, these road-oriented inland transportation means need to be changed to rail transport system to reduce congestion and to conserve natural environment. To achieve this scheme, efficient intermodal transportation system connecting road and rail should be constructed. These combined system will ensure timely delivery of goods and consequently the customers would make proper transportation schedule for the import/export goods in advance. Especially, combined transportation of Railroad and train ferry would cope with the logistics problem and this system would be efficient means for trade with not only China but further with many adjacent countries in central asia such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan
