전장네트워크 기반 이지스급 함정의 공중방어능력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Air Defense Capability of Aegis Class Ships the Netted Battlefield)

  • This paper describes a comprehensive analysis of the air defense capability of Aegis class ships on the netted battlefield. A principal threat to ships at sea is anti-ship cruise missiles. The missiles flies lower, faster, and with less radar cross section than its predecessors. Therefore, the ship of the 21s1 century must have the future operational capability based NCW to engage this threat and then the survivability of ship can be guaranteed. This operational concept is reflected in Aegis ship and CEC of US navy, In the near future, the korean navy will be possessed a few Aegis class ships. In this view, this paper has analyzed the intercept range of the sea-skimming ASCM to measure the area defense capability of the Aegis ship in PCW and NCW, respectively and presented the air defense capability of the ship on the netted battlefield.

선내 위치에 따른 선박의 종운동 특성 (Longitudinal motion characteristics of a ship according to the location)

  • In head sea, a ship has mainly the longitudinal motion such as vertical acceleration and pitch. In that case, the motion characteristics of a ship will have changed as the location different from each of place vertically and horizontally on board. The author carried out an experiment about the ship's vertical acceleration and pitch according to the location for the head sea, and analyzed the data with the aid of the statistical and spectral analyzing method to get the motion characteristics of the vessels. The response of vertical acceleration and pitch not deeply depend on the decks vertically, but displayed the relative big different value horizontally even if same deck. The biggest response of vertical acceleration and pitch among the accommodations was shown at scientist room, but the value of it not reached to the minimum requirement of ISO 2631-1 for working on board.

목포연안에서의 연안VTS설치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Construction of Coastal VTS in Mokpo Coastal Waters)

  • 최근 국내 ·외에서 발생한 대형 유조선의 기름유출사고는 해양환경에 막대한 피해를 입혀 엄청난 경제적 손실을 불러일으키고 있다. 또한 오염사고의 확산 범위가 항만 및 인접 수역에 이르고 있다. 따라서 선박교통관리제도는 그 관할 구역이 점차 확대되는 개념으로 변해가고 있다. 우리나라는 VTS를 전국 14개 항만에서 운영하고 있으나, 관제범위가 항만중심이다. 하지만 선진 외국에서는 주요 수로 및 연안 해역을 관제범위로 하는 연안VTS를 운영되고 있다. 따라서 우리나라에도 선박의 교통밀도가 높은 연안해역 및 수로의 선박교통을 관리할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이 연구는 선박의 교통밀도가 높고 해양사고가 빈발하고 있는 목포해역에 대해 해상교통조사를 실시하고, 해양사고를 조사·분석하여 연안VTS 센터 및 레이더사이트의 위치를 제안하고자 한다.

  • A new concept of ocean transport system, called mobile harbor, was introduced as a feasibility study in Korea in 2009. Target of the mobile harbor is a smart distance transport of containers with or without cargo handling cranes. Although the mobile harbor project has a lot of topics to deal with, this paper is to focus on only ship-to-ship stabilized mooring, which plays a key role in cargo handling. The ship-to-ship stabilized mooring system was developed and installed on beard a barge of LOA 32m and breadth 12m. The dockside tests as sea test were carried out so as to ascertain ascertained whether the systems can work well to control the barge's motion. The results of dockside test showed that the heave motion of the barge's motion can be reduced by more than 45%.

Three-dimensional dynamics of vortex-induced vibration of a pipe with internal flow in the subcritical and supercritical regimes

  • The Three-dimensional (3-D) dynamical behaviors of a fluid-conveying pipe subjected to vortex-induced vibration are investigated with different internal flow velocity ${\nu}$. The values of the internal flow velocity are considered in both subcritical and supercritical regimes. During the study, the 3-D nonlinear equations are discretized by the Galerkin method and solved by a fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. The results indicate that for a constant internal flow velocity ${\nu}$ in the subcritical regime, the peak Cross-flow (CF) amplitude increases firstly and then decrease accompanied by amplitude jumps with the increase of the external reduced velocity. While two response bands are observed in the In-line (IL) direction. For the dynamics in the lock-in condition, 3-D periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic vibrations are observed. A variety of CF and IL responses can be detected for different modes with the increase of ${\nu}$. For the cases studied in the supercritical regime, the dynamics shows a great diversity with that in the subcritical regime. Various dynamical responses, which include 3-D periodic, quasi-periodic as well as chaotic motions, are found while both CF and IL responses are coupled while ${\nu}$ is beyond the critical value. Besides, the responses corresponding to different couples of ${\mu}_1$ and ${\mu}_2$ are obviously distinct from each other.

  • 해면에 난반사되어 돌아오는 신호는 잡음이 되는데, 이를 클러터(Clutter)라 한다. 클러터는 레이더 화면에 백색 가우시안 잡음과 같은 형태로 나타나게 되며, 이들은 선박용 레이더의 탐지 효율을 저하 시킨다 따라서 클러터 제거를 위한 연후는 안테나의 개선 또는 여러 종류의 필터 등을 통해 환발하게 진행되고 있다. 본논문에서는 선박 레이더와 탐지 효율을 향상을 위하여, 웨이브렛(Wavelet)과 수리형태학(Morphology)의 $3{\times}3$SQ(Square) 형태소를 적용한 메디언 필터를 사용하여 조난 또는 구조 선박의 수색을 용이하게 할수 있는 알고리듬을 제안한다.

A Strength Analysis of a Hull Girder in a Rough Sea

  • A ship in waves is suffered from the various wave loads that comes from its motion throughout its life. Because these loads are dynamic, the analysis of a ship structure must be considered as the dynamic problem precisely. In the rationally-based design, the dynamic structural analysis is carried out using dynamic wave loads provided from the results of the ship motion calculation as a rigid body. This method is based on the linear theory assumed low wave height and small amplitude of motion. But at the rough sea condition, high wave height, compared with ship's depth, induce the large ship motion, so the ship section configuration under waterline is rapidly changed at each time. This results in a non-linear problem. Considering above situation in this paper, a strength analysis method is introduced for the hull girder among waves considering non-linear hydrodynamic forces. This paper evaluates the overall or primary level of the ship structural dynamic loading and dynamic response provided from the non-linear wave forces, and bottom flare impact forces by momentum slamming theory. For numerical calculation a ship is idealized as a hollow thin-walled box beam using thin walled beam theory and the finite element method is used. This method applied to a 40,000 ton double hull tanker and attention is paid to the influence of the response of the ship's speed, wave length and wave height compared with the linear strip theory.

UN해양법 협약상의 추적권에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Right of hot pursuit of UNCLOS)

  • 추적권은 추적국의 영해, 접속수역 기타 관할수역내에서 외국선박이 추적국의 법령을 위반한 경우 동 선박을 나포하기 위하여 공해상까지 계속하여 추적할 수 있는 권리로서 연안국이 영해나 기타 일정수역내에서 위법행위를 한 외국선박을 공해로 도주하기 전에 나포하는 것 이 용이하지 않으므로 도주하는 범법외국선박을 공해상까지 추적하여 나포하고 동선박을 연안국에 인도하여 연안국의 재판관할권을 행사하는 제도가 인정되어 왔으며 이러한 권리를 해양법상의 추적권 (the Right of hot pursuit) 라고 한다. 이에 우리나라의 해양관할권의 현황과 불법행위의 특성 등을 연구하여 해상집행력을 고찰해 보고 추적권에 관한 연구를 기술해 보았다.
