굿디자인을 활용한 금속환경조형물 연구 (A study of metal environment sculptures using good design)

  • 본 논문은 외부 설치 금속조형물의 디자인 방법론에 대한 연구로부터 시작되었다. 디자인의 범위와 의미가 커지면서 외부 설치 조형물에도 디자인의 개념이 사용되고, 조형물에 주변환경에 어울리면서 설치환경의 이야기를 담고 있는 조형물 디자인이 요구되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 개념은 전문가들 사이에서만 환경조형물이라고 정의되고 있다. 환경조형물의 개념은 아직은 대중적이지 않고 학문적 연구 또한 미흡한 상태이다. 이에 연구자는 외부 설치 조형물을 환경조형물로 정의하기 위해 굿디자인의 개념과 조건과 환경조형물의 개념과 역할을 이론적 배경으로 알아보고 굿디자인의 개념과 조건, 환경조형물의 개념과 역할에 대해 분류하였다. 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 굿디자인의 조건과 환경조형물의 역할을 활용하여 연구자의 디자인 전개 요소를 통해 금속환경조형물로 완성하고 연구작품을 제시하였다. 결과적으로 금속환경조형물의 디자인 방법론을 제시하게 되었고 다양한 환경조형물 디자인 연구가 지속되어 융합적 환경조형물의 다양한 패러다임이 연구되기를 바란다.

옥외 예술장식품 설치공간의 실태에 관한 연구-서울시 건축물 부설 예술장식품 심의대장을 중심으로- (A study on the outdoor space as places of environmental sculptures installed in accordance with "1%law" in Seoul)

  • It is clear that so called 1% law " in Korea has been established to enhance the quality of urban environment. However, after more than 10 years of its enforcement, environmental sculptures installed in accordance with the "1% law" are even being called as "sculptural pollution". This research was a part of a study on the environmental sculptures for the enhancement of the quality of urban environment. The purpose of this study was to investigate problems inherent in the outdoor space as places of environmental sculptures installed in accordance with "1% law". The following facts were found from the analysis of the relationship between 223 environmental sculptures and their surrounding environment from the viewpoint of spatial organization through field surveys. 1. 88.3% out of 223 environmental sculptures were located on ' 'public space' on study sites 2. 69.1% were placed on 'green' 3. 80.7% of 'green' were either 'point' types or 'line' types 4. 85.2% were under 5m in the longest dimension. The implication of this study is that "1% law" in Korea has been applied to only buildings in private sector where most outdoor space area in unadequate physical and spatial conditions to install diverse forms of environmental sculptures. Further studies must be carried out to install environmental sculptures in public open pace as an alternative by amending "1% law".

On Rupcumkyon : Monasteries with Sculptures at Sale, Salin, Legaing and Saku in Magway Region, Myanmar

  • There are many Rupcumkyon: - Monasteries with sculptures in Magway Region. But some were ruined and some are preserved and maintained still today. Most of the monasteries are built in Radanapon Period. But some are built in early Colonial Period. Nobilities and wealthy persons donated these monasteries to their learned Sayadaws. The architect used a lot of log in construction. Some monasteries have six stairways but other has four stairways. At these monasteries, sculptures were put on blusters. These were illustrations of extract from 547 Jataka stories and Dhammapada. Illustrations admonish the people not to do excessive craving and passion. These sculptures depict the art of sculpture, costume and adornment, and socio-economy of that Period under survey. This paper is to reveal and to explore the significant features in building monasteries and to compare each of the monasteries with sculptures at Sale, Salin, Legaing and Sagu in Magway Region.

  • 지하철역사의 환경조형물은 단순히 승객운송을 위한 기능주의적 정거장에서 벗어나 획일적인 지하공간을 다양한 문화공간으로 창조하며 지역의 문화를 알리는 중요한 시각적 지표내지는 지역의 고유한 이정표의 기능을 갖는다. 따라서 지하철 환경조형물은 단순히 개인의 취향이나 사적인 입장보다는 공공설치물이나 공공예술이란 범주에서 지하철 이용자의 기대에 대한 다수의 유의한 감정의 공감대 형성에 필요한 디자인 접근이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 지하철 환경조형물 설치에 있어 지하철을 이용하는 이용자들의 관점에서 어떻게 평가되고 선호하는지를 규명하기 위해 지역별 이용자에 대한 환경조형물의 인지도와 선호도 및 작품의 시각적 이미지를 평가할 수 있는 요인에 대하여 조사, 분석을 시행하였다. 환경조형물에 대해서는 대체적으로 긍정적인 요소가 많이 나타나는 것으로 조사되었으나 역사 환경의 특성과 조화가 이루어지지 않는다면 오히려 지하철 환경의 시각적 질을 저해시킬 수 있는 것으로 판단된다.

대도시 옥의 환경조형물의 설치기준에 대한 우선순위 분석 (Analysis of the Priority Decision for Establishment Criteria of Environmental Sculptures in Urban Areas)

  • This research focused on the priotity decision for establishment sriteria on the effects which environmental sculptures in urban area. The analysis performed in this study used the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) that is recognized as a useful decision-making tool to select and evaluate alternatives through pairwise comparison in the context of hierarchical decision structure. The results obtained from the analysis drawn by collecting the professional opinions of 5 experts for environmental sculptures are as follows: 1. The orders of establish criteria priorities on environmental sculptures were harmony of environment> symbol> public> function. The harmony of environment was the most important priority because it showed the highest weight of criteria. 2. The alternative priorities of environmental sculptures were the meaning of work>setting place> social contribution> physical quality .The meaning of work showed the highest change in the weight of alternative. 3.The sensitivity analysis of environmental sculptures demonstrated that the rate of change in the alternative priorities of the public was stabilized although the criteria importance varied, while the harmony of environment, the symbol intimated and function of priorities has their rates of weight changed if the criteria priorities were high.

무 고정 공중부양 조형물의 자세 제어장치 설계 및 성능평가 (Design and Performance Evaluation of Attitude Control System for Unfixed Levitation Sculptures)

  • The aerial support air sculptures currently exhibited in indoor spaces are similar to simple ad balloons, using multiple rope strands. Users now want more advanced unfixed sculptures, and hope these will develop into buoyant sculptures that can maintain the attitudes that users want on their own. This study investigated an attitude control system for unfixed levitation sculptures that can levitate with no rope and continuously maintain a certain attitude at a height specified by the user. To facilitate levitation, the exterior part of the sculpture was made of lightweight fibers, and the interior part was filled with helium gas. The controller was composed of a microprocessor of the dsPIC30F line from microchip, gyro, acceleration, and earth magnetic field sensors, and a highly efficient brushless DC (BLDC) electric motor. The attitude and position control system requires scheduling considering the trajectories of the sculpture and the control system, because the roles of the overall components are more important than those of a single controller. Furthermore, the system was designed like a fusion system that is expanded and controlled as a total controller, because it is interconnected with various sensors. The attitude control system of buoyant sculptures was implemented in this study, such that it can actively cope with the position, direction, stopping, and time aspects. The system performance was then evaluated.

군 상징조형물 설치 특성에 관한 조사 연구 - 전라남도 군 상징조형물을 대상으로 - (A Study on the Installation Characteristics of Military Symbolic Sculptures - Targeting Symbolic Sculptures in Counties in Jeollanam-do -)

  • This study, as part of a study on the visual impact and evaluation of the symbolic sculptures currently installed in counties in Jeollanam-do on the formation of Landscapes by local governments, investigated and analyzed the installation characteristics of symbolic sculptures by local governments. As a result, many local governments have installed local specialties and landmarks as symbolic sculptures, and the installation location is often installed in open spaces and in the center of roundabouts. It was investigated that the use of color or the color of the material as it is was preferred. It was found that more symbolic sculptures installed on the roadside were installed in the center of the roundabout or along the side of the street than installation at the gateway. It is considered that it is more effective to recognize the symbolism of the area to the tourists through the installation of the symbolic sculpture at the entrance of the area, the center of the roundabout, or the side of the road rather than the gate, because the size of the symbol is bigger in order to recognize the symbolism of the area due to the width of the large road when installing the symbolic sculpture at the gateway, It is considered.

드론 기술을 이용한 부력 조형물의 자세 제어 (Posture control of buoyancy sculptures using drone technology)

  • The floating sculptures in the form of ad-ballon commonly used ropes in order to hold on. Relatively air flow is much less indoor than outdoor. Users of buoyancy sculptures hope to be able to maintain their desired posture without being fixed. This study applied drone technology to buoyancy sculptures. The drones can be moved vertically and horizontally, and the posture can be maintained, so buoyancy sculptures are easy to apply. Therefore, we have studied the control system of buoyancy sculpture using drone technology. Also, a control system that can maintain the desired posture at a constant height was studied. The overall shape was a light fiber material and helium gas for zero buoyancy to support the sculpture. The system configuration was STM32F103CB from ARM. In addition, the gyro and acceleration, geomagnetic sensors and motors are composed of small and medium size BLDC motors. The scheduling of the control system in the configuration of the control device was carefully considered. Because the role of the whole component becomes very important. The communication between the components is divided into the sensor fusion and the interface communication with the whole controller. Each communication technology is designed to expand. This study was implemented to actively respond from the viewpoint of posture control using the drone technology.

동관왕묘(東關王廟)의 조각상 연구 (A Study on the Sculptures from Donggwanwangmyo [East Shrine of King Guan Yu])

  • 동관왕묘(東關王廟)는 중국 촉(蜀)나라의 장수 관우(關羽)를 모신 사당이다. 이러한 사당이 우리나라에 세워지기 시작한 것은 1598년 정유재란 때부터이다. 당시 조선에 파병된 명나라 장수들은 관우의 힘으로 일본의 침략을 막아내길 염원하면서 그들의 주둔지마다 관왕묘를 세웠다. 임진왜란이 끝난 후 중국 명나라 황제와 조선의 국왕은 외세를 물리치려는 의지로 관왕묘를 세우고자 하였다. 1599년 8월 조선 정부는 '동관왕묘조성청' 이라는 관청을 임시로 설치하고 인력과 물력을 총동원하였다. 명나라 기술자의 감독 아래 연 2,400명의 조선 장인과 역군(役軍)들이 중국 제저우(解州) 관제묘(關帝廟)를 본으로 삼아 영건하여 3년 뒤인 1602년 봄에 동관왕묘를 완공하였다. 한 중 기술자가 협력하여 세웠기 때문에 관왕묘의 정전 건축과 내부 구조 및 조각상에는 양국의 양식이 반영되어 있다. 이를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 동관왕묘 내부에는 7기의 조각상이 서 있다. 관우상 1기는 금동상이며, 나머지 6기는 소조상 위에 채색한 것이다. 이들 조각상들은 1602년에 만들어졌고, 관우와 그를 배위하는 관평(關平) 주창(周倉) 조루(趙累) 왕보(王甫)는 삼국시대에 실존했던 인물들의 초상조각이었다. 하지만 그들의 복식은 관우를 추숭하던 당송대에 확립된 도상을 따르고 있었으며, 세부적으로는 명대적 요소와 조선적 배치가 절충되어 있었다. 이로 미루어 송대 이후 확산된 <의용무안왕(義勇武安王)> 판화의 도상이나 명나라 만력황제가 1593년 조영한 제저우 관제묘의 명대 관우 도상이 동관왕묘를 제작할 때 직접 영향을 끼쳤을 것으로 여겨진다. 하지만 현재 동관왕묘와 비교되는 중국 제저우 관제묘의 경우 건축과 조각상이 모두 청대 18~19세기에 중건된 것이기 때문에 직접적인 비교는 어렵다. 오히려 그렇기 때문에 동관왕묘의 조각상은 17세기 초 한 중 관왕묘 중에서 제작시기가 가장 이른 예로서 당시의 원형을 지니고 있다는 점, 한 중 기술자의 합작으로 규모가 매우 크다는 점, 금동으로 만든 관우상은 유일하다는 점, 문무 배위상을 각 1쌍씩 마주 배열하여 조선왕릉의 석인 배치와 친연성이 있다는 점 등 여러 면에서 미술사적 가치가 매우 크다고 할 수 있다.

Analysis and Improvement of the Chrysanthemum Festivals for the Revitalization of Regional Economy

  • This study is to analyze the current state, trend, and preference of the three chrysanthemum festivals representing South Korea that are hosted by local governments, and it is to be used as the basic data for preparing effective plans for the chrysanthemum festivals. The study was conducted from April 20, 2013 to November 25, 2017, and literature review, online search, interviews with persons in charge, field survey, and questionnaire survey were performed. As a result of the field survey, all three festivals had their space structures divided, themes decided and space images depicted based on chrysanthemum sculptures. The landmarks of the city, cultural assets, or great figures were selected to the main theme of the major chrysanthemum sculptures. The sculptures were decorated realistically for users to easily recognize the image. The main chrysanthemum sculptures tended to be introduced repeatedly. As results of the current state of visit and preference, it was found that the number of visitors has increased every year, along with revisits. The satisfaction and the preference for the festival were evaluated positively, and the chrysanthemum festival has become a local festival representing autumn, and a resource for vitalization of the regional economy. However, as a result of the survey, insufficient parking space and resting place, change of image of the sculptures, experience programs, and food shall be improved in order to increase the users satisfaction.
