Objectives: The purpose of this scoping review is to suggest future treatment and research directions for adult ADHD by examining domestic trends in Korean research on adults with ADHD tendencies. Methods: The present review used Arksey and O'Malley's scoping review methodology. Eight domestic databases were used, and a search was conducted in July 2023 while targeting domestic papers that had been published within the last 20 years. Subject keywords included 'College student', 'Soldier', and 'Adult', and the subject-related terms that were searched for included 'ADHD'. Results: From 502 initially collected articles, 78 were ultimately selected for analysis in this work. Domestic research related to adult ADHD has been steadily conducted since 2000, and most such research has been done in psychology. Regarding the research participants, those in their 20s were the most common age group, and college students accounted for more than half of participants. In terms of study design, survey studies were the most common, while there was a lack of studies on intervention. The subject most closely dealt with in ADHD studies was interpersonal relationships, followed by depression and addiction. The main intervention used in this study was cognitive behavioral therapy, however it was limited in number. Conclusions: More multifaceted studies on adult ADHD need to be conducted using various research methodologies, and there is also a need for more studies using interventions. It is also important for such research to be expanded to broader geographic areas, ages, and occupations.
This paper concerns with developing a simplified in-core fuel management scoping tool for PWR. For this purpose the point reactivity model is put into a fuel cycling decision code, FCYPRM. Modified Borresen's coarse-mesh diffusion theory and nodal expansion method are utilized to form a spatial neutron analysis code, CMSNAP. Numerical experiments are per- formed to determine a set of empirical shuffling rules for working out an automated fuel loading pattern search code, ALPS. The numerical examples are presented for verifying effectiveness and applicability of individual codes. By structuring and applying three codes for reload core design problem of a PWR, it is demonstrated that these codes provide an effective in-core fuel management scoping tool for PWR.
Purpose: The aim of study was to identify ranges of Korean nurses' competency in disaster nursing. Methods: A scoping review was conducted using the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology. The review used information from four databases: RISS, ScienceON, EBSCO Discovery Service, and CINAHL. In this review, key words were 'disaster', 'nurs*', 'competenc*', 'ability' and 'preparedness'. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were identified as strategies to use in this review. The inclusion criteria for this review focused on the following: Korean nurse, articles related to disaster nursing competency, peer-review articles published in the full text in Korean and English. Review articles were excluded. Results: Nineteen studies were eligible for result extraction. A total of 10 categories of disaster nursing competency were identified: Knowledge of disaster nursing, crisis management, disaster preparation, information collection and sharing, nursing record and document management, communication, disaster plan, nursing activities in disaster response, infection management, and chemical, biological, radiation, nuclear, and explosive management. Conclusion: It is necessary to distinguish between Korean nurses' common disaster nursing competency, professional disaster nursing competency, and disaster nursing competency required in nursing practice. Therefore, future research will be needed to explore and describe disaster nursing competency.
Objectives: Given the importance of social determinants of health in promoting the health of slum residents, this study was conducted with the aim of identifying the main dimensions and components of these determinants. Methods: This scoping review study was conducted according to the PRISMA-ScR (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Extension for Scoping Reviews). A comprehensive search was performed of PubMed, ProQuest, Scopus, and Web of Science for articles conducted from 2010 to the end of 2019. Studies were selected based on inclusion criteria, with a special focus on studies dealing with the social determinants of physical and mental health or illness. Results: Thirty-three articles were selected to extract information on the social determinants of health. After reviewing the articles, 7 main dimensions (housing, socioeconomic status of the family, nutrition, neighborhood characteristics, social support and social capital, occupational factors, and health behaviors) and 87 components were extracted as social determinants of health among slum dwellers. Conclusions: This framework could be used by planners, managers, and policy-makers when making decisions affecting the health of these settlements' residents due to the common characteristics of slums around the world, especially in developing countries.

Purpose: This study aimed to conduct a scoping review of studies on interventions for the prevention of safety accidents involving infants. Methods: The scoping review method by Arksey and O'Malley was used to conduct an overview based on information spanning a wide range of fields. Multiple electronic databases, PubMed, CINAHL, RISS, and KISS, were searched for articles written in English or Korean published from 2012 to the present on safety accident prevention interventions. A total of 2,137 papers were found, and 20 papers were ultimately analyzed. Results: Most studies were conducted in the United States (55.0%) and in the medical field (45.0%), and most were experimental studies (35.0%). The results were organized across five categories: 1) preventive precautions, 2) characteristics of children's developmental stages, 3) encouraging voluntary participation, 4) continuity of interventions, and 5) teaching methods. Conclusion: Safety accident prevention interventions should cover the establishment of a safe home environment, include voluntary participation, and provide routine follow-up interventions. Additionally, practical training and teaching methods that incorporate feedback rather than a lecture-oriented approach should be adopted.
Purpose: The present study aims to identify research trends on diabetes mellitus (DM) self-management intervention, suggesting directions for follow-up studies through a scoping review. Methods: This study conducted the scoping review process outlined by Arskey and O' Malley using the JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute) template. The databases used were Riss, Kiss, NDSL, KMbase, Google Scholar. This study searched the literature published between January 2011 and November 2021 by entering keywords related to DM self-management. Results: Thirty-five studies were selected for analysis. The period for 24 articles was 12 weeks or longer. The interventions consisted of education, exercise, counseling, and coaching. Not all studies applied the theory of behavior change. Fourteen studies included three factors relating to behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and blood sugar changes to measure effectiveness, while ten studies included all four factors. Most interventions were effective both in DM self-management and self-care. Further, the intervention persistence effect of each study varied. Conclusion: While research on DM self-management intervention has been conducted at domestically and abroad, this decreased during COVID-19 pandemic. This study suggests the importance of systematically developing effective necessary optimal DM self-management interventions that can change behaviors to prevent diabetic complications and improve quality of life.

This study explored the environmental health behavior intervention study for pregnant women using a scoping review. The evidence synthesis of intervention methods, research topics, outcome variables, and effectiveness was performed. Eight studies were extracted from the databases of PubMed, Cochrane Library, and RISS. The topics were nutritional interventions and behavioral interventions that can reduce exposure to fine dust, heavy metals, chemicals, and electromagnetic waves to pregnant women. The interventions were conducted through lectures, cartoons, workshops, interviews, messages, and home visits. The effect of the intervention was found to improve the health behaviors of pregnant women and to solve problems in the residential environment. Therefore, the environmental health behavior interventions for pregnant women were effective.
Machine learning and deep learning (ML/DL) algorithms have been successfully applied in medical practice. However, their application in veterinary medicine is relatively limited, possibly due to a lack in the quantity and quality of relevant research. Because the potential demands for ML/DL applications in veterinary clinics are significant, it is important to note the current gaps in the literature and explore the possible directions for advancement in this field. Thus, a scoping review was conducted as a situation analysis. We developed a search strategy following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. PubMed and Embase databases were used in the initial search. The identified items were screened based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Information regarding model development, quality of validation, and model performance was extracted from the included studies. The current review found 55 studies that passed the criteria. In terms of target animals, the number of studies on industrial animals was similar to that on companion animals. Quantitative scarcity of prediction studies (n = 11, including duplications) was revealed in both industrial and non-industrial animal studies compared to diagnostic studies (n = 45, including duplications). Qualitative limitations were also identified, especially regarding validation methodologies. Considering these gaps in the literature, future studies examining the prediction and validation processes, which employ a prospective and multi-center approach, are highly recommended. Veterinary practitioners should acknowledge the current limitations in this field and adopt a receptive and critical attitude towards these new technologies to avoid their abuse.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to review the studies of musculotendinous releasing manual therapy and suggestions for clinical application. Methods: Derive research questions using the scoping review methodology. Searching for related studies, the studies were selected, and the data were analyzed and reported.
