A Study on the Basic Design Education Using WWW (WWW를 활용한 기초디자인교육에 관한 연구)

  • The evolution of computing environments caused various dharges in our society. The change cj instruction media is one of these effects. WWW using network techndogy is regarded as a pov.powerful tool for rerrote instruction. The methods of utilizing network technologies in design instrudion and design process rould be diversified comparing with those of other general instruction. Computer graphics has been regarded as a very use!u design tool for its accuracy and rapidty. Network can help us to do creative work using cornplter graphics. The merits of this technology are sharing resources and rraking it easy to roIlaborate. Recent cxxnputer graphics instruction has some defects in oontents and methods. The oontents have a weak relationship with other industrial design subjects. From above, the purpose of this thesis is to use computer graphics and netv.urk technology for supporting basic design instruction. Virtual gallery using WWW can be a cyberspare v.tlere the evaluation of results and the exchange of information take plare. This tool makes it easier to oomrunicate and oollaborate with dassmates. A casestudy-Composition with basic objectswas exea.rted by individual for distributed asynchronous rmde. The results of this thesis are summarized for four factors. Rrst, it was easy to transform idea. Serond, student-oriented working was performed. Third, interaction among students was activated. Fourth, not only final results, but also midterm results was oonsidered for evaluation. These methods also have problems as rerent instruction methods, but it rould be used as a instruction tool to compensate for existing instruction methods.

Studies on the optimal conditions for the high yield in the production of Ganoderma lucidum (영지버섯 다수확 생산을 위한 최적조건에 관한 연구)

  • The results were as follows; 3 additives(rice bran, wheat bran and soybean bran) to the Quercus dentata sawdust were applied at 10, 20 and 30%. High yield was recorded at 20% of rice bran and wheat bran and 30% of soybean bran. Among various sawdust media, the cultivation with the Quercus dentata sawdust alone showed the most favored growth index, such as 22 days of full mycelial growth, 11 days of pinheading from spawning and 23.5g per $1,200m{\ell}$ bottle. In the size of bottles, the lowest infection ratio was 5 % at $1,200m{\ell}$ bottle. In the growth characteristics with the bottle size, Reishi at $1,600m{\ell}$ bottle showed best result when it is observed for 13~15 days in pinheading from spawing, 36~37 days in fruit bodies growing and 26.7~29.3g yield per bottle. The highest yield per area was 6.4kg at horizontal bed with 218 bottles per $3.3m^2$. The Reishi produced in $1,600m{\ell}$ bottle with horizontal cultivation had less number of fruit bodies and best yield, thus it is determined to be the most economic method.

A Comparative Study of Emotional Response to Korean Drama among Countries: With Drama 'Goblin' (한국 드라마 수용에 있어서 국가별 감정 반응 분석: 드라마 <도깨비>를 중심으로)

  • This research aims to investigate 'Hallyu' contents consumption tendency of consumers from Korea, Japan, and the United States by analyzing their emotional responses. With the development of social media, research on emotion analysis by reviewing text materials has grown. Whereas environmental variables affect consumer demand towards 'Hallyu' contents, little comparative analyses have been conducted on the emotional responses of consumers from different countries. In this research, the emotional prototype model proposed by Russell(1980) used to extract and distinguish emotional words to clarify how people in the three countries differently perceive the Korean drama "Goblin". First of all, the SNS reviews were collected during a two-month period (February 12 to April 12). Second, significant factors were identified in the collected data according to Russell's emotion model. Third, random forest was applied to organize the selected variables in the order of variable importance. Fourth, the correlations among the emotional words were compared. Lastly, the accuracy of the trained model was measured using the test dataset. The results show that "Happy" was found to be the greatest factor in Korea and in the United States and "Pleased" in Japan. Emotional words correlations showed that when watching the drama "Goblin", "passive unpleasure" was the main factor associated with individual's interest in Korea whereas "passive pleasure" was associated with individual's interest in Japan and in the United States. Based on the results, this research suggests the possibility of developing evaluation guidelines for emotional responses of different countries towards 'Hallyu' contents.

Exploratory Research on the Success Factors of YouTube Music Cover Channel Based on the Post Acceptance Model(PAM) and Flow Theory (후기기술수용모형(PAM)과 플로우(Flow)이론을 기반으로 한 유튜브 커버음악 채널의 성공 요인에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore quantitatively the success factors of YouTube's music cover channel. Along the process, constructing and testing the measurement for music cover channel's characteristics. The research constructed the measurement items based on results of qualitative studies. To perform the purposes the study suggest a research model which integrated the Post Acceptance Model with five music cover channel's characteristics based on the recent case studies. The five characteristics were contents, video, creator, interactivity, and publicity. The characteristics were integrated with Post Acceptance Model. After testing reliability and validity the research model was revised then, the research hypothesis was tested. The research results show: first, it was found that the content characteristics did not meet the expected value of users. Second, among the five factors of channel characteristics presented in creator's characteristics have the largest effect on user's value perception Third, in the factor analysis process, the content factor and the video were loaded on the same factor thus integrated as one factor. Fourth, satisfaction and intention for continual usage were also loaded on the same factor thus integrated as one factor. The research results suggest that music cover channel operators need to enhance the creator's attraction, communication with user, and publicity in various ways.

  • Eco-friendly materials, such as alternative vegan materials using various fungal resources, are being actively researched to reduce environmental pollution and facilitate a healthy lifestyle. The fungal mycelium-based mushroom mycelium mat is one such emerging material. In this study, the commonly used mushroom mycelium culture method was modified to reduce the time required to produce the mycelium mat, lower the possibility of contamination, and improve the properties and quality of the mat. Shortening the period required for the previously used primary bag culture and secondary mat production culture. A culture method in which the bag culture was omitted was attempted using a mycelium mutated by gamma irradiation to the mycelium of Trametes orientalis. In addition, various nutrients were added to the fungal solution to observe the change in physical properties of the fungal mat. High-quality mycelium mats were produced in the experimental group containing 1.5% CaCO3 in sawdust medium, and the period was also reduced by more than 10 days compared to the existing production method. In the future, for mass producing mycelium mats, additional selection of medium components and optimization of culture conditions are essential.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the process of multicultural perception change of university students who have participated in multicultural mentoring. From May to December of the year 2015, the researcher conducted continuous e-mail interviews as well as in-depth interviews with mentors who participated in multicultural mentoring at I university. The interview contents were transcribed and comparative analysis was done. The result of the study is as follows. The process of multicultural perception change of mentors were discovered to be change in stereotypes, prejudice and ideas on multiculture, difference detection and social desire. They realized that stereotypes and prejudice were the errors of generalization due to their ideas on multiculture which were developed through media. Through mentoring activities the mentors reflected on the inherent negative ideas on multiculture, thus changing their ideas and thoughts. Also, the difference detection acknowledged cultural diversity along with the understanding of the cultural environment of mentees. Social desire expressed their wish for the change of perception in the cultures of others along with the positive change of multicultural perception through mentees. Thus, it was discovered that multicultural mentoring activities are sufficient prerequisites to change the social perception of multiculture from personal interest.

  • Director Lee Chang Dong said that it is the most important point for revealing the invisible beauty so that the audience could feel the unseen beauty through the . Discussing about how to find beauty that is not only visible but also invisible through the main character Mi-ja from the film, who makes a decision and reactions on her daily life by her perception that are difficult for others to take same. The film tells that how Mi-ja's ideal of a beauty can be taken the role for writing a poetry at the moment of the dead poet society, making a movie in the age of dying emotion and also when it lost fundamental values and about movie media. This study analyzed the performances of the main character Mi-ja in the film, and actress Yoon Jung Hee based on Director Lee Chang Dong's directed performance. The audience will be self-questioning and reflecting their life through the Mi-ja's an unidentifiable characteristic which something that someone cannot say, something that someone cannot express, something that tells something through Mi-ja's poem and actress herself finds the character's feelings.

An Exploratory Study of Generative AI Service Quality using LDA Topic Modeling and Comparison with Existing Dimensions (LDA토픽 모델링을 활용한 생성형 AI 챗봇의 탐색적 연구 : 기존 AI 챗봇 서비스 품질 요인과의 비교)

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially in the domain of text-generative services, has witnessed a significant surge, with forecasts indicating the AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) market reaching a valuation of $55.0 Billion by 2028. This research set out to explore the quality dimensions characterizing synthetic text media software, with a focus on four key players in the industry: ChatGPT, Writesonic, Jasper, and Anyword. Drawing from a comprehensive dataset of over 4,000 reviews sourced from a software evaluation platform, the study employed the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic modeling technique using the Gensim library. This process resulted the data into 11 distinct topics. Subsequent analysis involved comparing these topics against established AI service quality dimensions, specifically AICSQ and AISAQUAL. Notably, the reviews predominantly emphasized dimensions like availability and efficiency, while others, such as anthropomorphism, which have been underscored in prior literature, were absent. This observation is attributed to the inherent nature of the reviews of AI services examined, which lean more towards semantic understanding rather than direct user interaction. The study acknowledges inherent limitations, mainly potential biases stemming from the singular review source and the specific nature of the reviewer demographic. Possible future research includes gauging the real-world implications of these quality dimensions on user satisfaction and to discuss deeper into how individual dimensions might impact overall ratings.

Customer-perceived distributive peer justice climate, community identification, C2C interaction quality, and helping intention in MMORPG contexts (고객의 분배공정성분위기 지각과 커뮤니티동일시, 고객간상호작용인식, 도움행동의도의 관계에 대한 연구)

  • This paper proposes and tests a theoretical model of the relational link between a novel form of customer-perceived fairness for a reward design (distributive peer justice climate) and C2C helping intention via community identification and online C2C interaction (friend-, neighboring customer-, audience-interaction) qualities in a collective consumption context (MMORPG). To test hypotheses, we amassed survey data within a collective consumption context (massively multiplayer online role-playing games, MMORPGs). We used structural equation modeling in analyzing the survey data. The results reveal that user-perceived distributive peer justice climate for a reward design enhances their C2C helping intention via community identification and C2C interactions in MMORPG contexts. Collective consumption-type service managers should focus on promoting the user-perceived distributive peer justice climate for their reward system to enhance users' present C2C co-creation experience (community identification, C2C interaction) and future C2C co-creation behavior (helping intention). By adopting an intra-unit level distributive justice concept (customer-perceived distributive peer justice climate) to a reward design in a collective consumption context (MMORPGs), this study informed collective consumption-type service managers of the importance of its management.

Fungicidal Effect of Slightly Acidic Hypochlorous Water against Phytopathogenic Fungi (미산성 차아염소산수의 식물병원균류에 대한 살균 효과)

  • Slightly acidic hypochlorous water (SAHW) is well known for having a powerful and broad spectrum antimicrobial activity, and is harmless to the environment and humans. SAHW (pH 5~6.5, 20~30 ppm available chlorine concentration) was generated by electrolysis of dilute solution of HCl (4%) in a chamber of a non-membrane electrolytic cell. Our objective was to determine SAHW has a potential fungicidal activity on some phytopathogenic fungi. Spores of Botrytis cinerea, Colletotrichum acutatum and Phytophthora capsici were not culturable on agar media at approximately 10 seconds after treatment by SAHW. However, inactivation of Penicillium hirsutum was required over 3 min. Dilution of SAHW with sterilized distilled water (SDW) at the ratio of 1:1 (SAHW:SDW) against C. acutatum showed 100% inactivation but, the efficacy in 1:2 decreased until 63.2%. Control value of SAHW was 70.4% against C. acutatum on pepper fruits when applied upto 24 h postinoculation. SAHW has a powerful and wide spectrum antifungal activity and could be applied as a potential alternative to fungicidal agent for control of plant disease.
