전문가 델파이 기법을 통한 전공 대학생 대상 쌀 교육 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Rice Education Program for University Students through Expert Delphi Method)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a rice education program and rice cooking practice for university students majoring in foodservice and nutrition. To achieve this purpose, 2 rounds of delphi survey was used by convenience sampling including total of 27 experts in the food and nutrition industry. Below are the findings. First, both the importance and suitability for macro-theme of theory education were in the following order: 'nutrition and health of rice', 'characteristics of rice in food science', 'history and culture of rice' and 'the consumption of rice. Second, the history and culture of rice(traditional culture related to rice, and the origin & history of rice), nutrition and health of rice(main nutritive components and efficacy of rice and prevention of disease), characteristics of rice as food(processed-products of rice and storage, the structure of rice), and the consumption of rice(current status of rice production and consumption) were found to be suitable for the micro-theme of theory education. Third, the education theme for rice cooking practice was determined. Barley sprout song-pyeon and beet song-pyeon were chosen for rice cake. For bread, coconut & walnut muffin, tofu & bean muffin, citron bread, red bean & sweet persimmon pound cake, and sweet potato bread were selected. Dong-rae-pa-jeon, Kimch-jeon-byeong, fried sweet potato fried shrimp were developed for the main dishes.

세계 주요 자연사 박물관의 교육 프로그램의 유형 및 특징 (The Types and Characteristics of Educational Programs in Major Natural History Museums of the World)

  • 본 연구에서는 선진국의 주요 자연사 박물관에서 제공하는 교육 프로그램의 유형 및 특징을 살펴보았다. 미국(AMNH, FM, SM), 영국(NHM), 호주(AU), 캐나다(RTM)의 자연사 박물관의 웹사이트에 소개되어 있는 교육 프로그램, 박물관 간행 책자, 홍보자료, 연간 보고서를 수집하여 분석에 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 자연사 박물관의 교육 프로그램을 크게 열 가지 유형-이동식 박물관, 워크삽, 강좌/강연, 페스티발/(특별)이벤트, 탐구활동, 과학적 활동/연구 프로젝트, 필드트립, 청소년 학예원/인턴 과정, 대여 자료, 캠프/투어-로 나누고, 각 유형에 따른 프로그램의 예를 제시하였다. 또한 개별 프로그램을 교육적 측면에서 볼 수 있는 몇 가지 특징인 주제, 참여 수준, 전시와의 연관성, 학교교육과의 연계, 활동 수준에 관하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 결과는 세 가지 측면에서 과학교사, 박물관 교육담당자 및 학예원에게 도움이 될 것으로 보인다: (1) 교육 프로그램 유형과 내용을 개발하고 실행하는데 유용하며, (2) 교육 프로그램을 평가하고 개선하는 지침으로 이용될 수 있고, (3) 일반 대중에게 다양한 과학적 측면과 소장품을 소개하거나 학교 교육과정과 연관한 과학 교수 학습에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다.

검정망둑(Tridentiger obscurus)의 초기 생활사 (Early Life History of the Tridentiger obscurus(Pisces, Gobiidae))

  • 이 연구는 2003년 4월부터 7월까지 여수시 돌산읍 우두리 하동마을과 오천동 주변 하구역에서 검정망둑 어미를 채집하여 실험실에서 사육하면서 산란 습성, 난 발생 과정 및 자치어 형태 발달을 관찰하였다. 수정란은 전구 모양으로 난황은 무색이었으며, 알의 장경은 $0.86{\sim}1.07mm$, 단경은 $0.53{\sim}0.74mm$였다. 난막의 기부에는 많은 부착사가 있어서 부착하는 분리 부착란으로 여러 개의 작은 유구를 가지고 있었다. 부화는 수온 $18.4{\sim}23.2^{\circ}C$(평균 $21.2^{\circ}C$)에서 수정 후 154시간 40분에 시작하였다. 부화 직후 자어는 전장이 $2.72{\sim}2.87mm$(평균 2.83mm)로 난황이 거의 흡수되었고, 입과 항문은 열려 있었다. 부화 후 21일째 후기 자어는 전장이 $5.32{\sim}7.23mm$(평균 6.02mm)로 꼬리 끝부분 척색이 $45^{\circ}$로 완전하게 굽어져 있었다. 부화 후 45일째 개체의 전장은 $11.62{\sim}14.32mm$(평균 13.45mm)로 모든 지느러미 가시와 줄기가 정수에 달하여 치어 단계로 이행하였다.

The Application of Non-phosphorous AEC Program in Cooling Water Systems of Petrochemical Industry

  • A non-phosphorous program employing an alkyl epoxy carboxylate (AEC) has been successfully applied to petrochemical and other large industrial open recirculating cooling water systems. AEC is a patented non-phosphorous calcium carbonate scale inhibitor that has demonstrated better scale inhibition abilities than traditional organic phosphonates. In addition to its antiscalant properties, AEC inhibits carbon steel corrosion when used at high dosages. AEC can be combined with zinc to form a non-phosphorous program with very low levels of phosphate to provide an environmentally acceptable program. In actual applications, the total phosphate developed in the cooling system from cycling the makeup is below 1 ppm as $PO_4$. This level has complied with the highest standards of wastewater discharge limitations. The performance of two AEC/Zinc applications is reviewed. In both cases excellent corrosion and scale control were achieved with AEC/Zinc programs. One case history details the performance with a low hardness water (100 ppm calcium, as $CaCO_3$) operating at 8-10 cycles of concentration. The corrosive nature of the water and the long retention time of the system stressed both the corrosion and scale control capabilities of the program. The second case history demonstrates the performance of the program with a moderate hardness water (400-600 ppm calcium, as $CaCO_3$), but under harsh conditions of high temperature and low flow. The AEC/zinc combination has been found to be highly effective in controlling the corrosion of ferrous metals. AEC can provide good corrosion inhibition at high concentrations, while zinc is known to be an excellent cathodic inhibitor. The combination of the two inhibitors not only provides a synergistic blend that is effective over a wide range of operating conditions, but also is environmentally friendly.

한국과 일본의 감각통합 교육 프로그램의 변화 (The Change of Sensory Integration Educational Program in Korea and Japan)

  • Six members of Korean association of sensory integration(KASI) participated the treatment course named C-course of japanese association for the study of sensory integrative dysfunction(JASSID) during Jul. 27$\sim$Aug. 3, 2005. After the course, we investigated the education program of Japan and Korea and how it had been changed and developed. Through investigating JASSID with history for 23 years and KASI with history for 8 years, we find out that the common contents of sensory integration exist and the diversities of their own cultural and social contexts also exist. In korea, KASI would develop our own educational program and research based on having the close relationship with Japan and other former country developed education of sensory integration.

연구 프로그램으로서의 힐버트 계획 (Hilbert's Program as Research Program)

  • 수리 논리학의 발전은 상당 부분 힐버트 (D. Hilbert, 1862~1943)의 증명이론(Beweistheorie)에 뿌리를 두고 있다. 흔히 '힐버트 계획' (Hilbert's program)으로 불리는 이 계획의 목표는 형식적 공리론적 방법에 의해 수학의 모든 명제와 증명을 형식화하고 이 형식 체계의 완비성과 무모순성 증명을 통해 고전 수학을 '구원' 하고, 수학의 토대를 공고히 하자는 데에 있다. 1931년 괴델의 제 1정리에 의해 결정불가능 명제의 존재가 드러나면서 완전성이 위기를 맞고, 제 2정리에 의해 무모순성의 확립이 무산될 위기에 처한다. 그러나 '상대적' 내지 '부분적' 힐버트 계획은 효과적인 연구 프로그램으로서 살아 있다고 말하는 학자들이 적지 않다. 우리는 특히 힐버트 계획 이 오늘날 구성주의 수학의 발전에 동력을 제공하고 있다는 점을 커리-하워드 대응 (Curry-Howard Correspondence)을 통하여 부각시키고자 했다. 자연연역에서 증명 (proof) 이 바로 컴퓨터 프로그램 (computer program) 에 다름 아니라는 사실에 의해 수학의 형식화 (formalization)는 새로운 조명을 받게 된 것이다. 요컨대 힐버트 계획은 컴퓨터 과학에서 알고리듬 (algorithm) 이라는 핵심개념에 가장 잘 부합되는 것이다.

비정형 한의약텍스트 조제복용사항 정형화알고리즘연구 - 동의보감 처방정보를 중심으로 (A Study of the Algorithm that Standardizes Processing of Information and Taking Indications of East Asian Medicine Formula)

  • Currently, there are about 20,000 or so known ancient medical texts from the East Asian medical traditions. Although the most famous texts are widely known, many texts still exist only as original manuscripts. We are interested exploring these texts to uncover the potential benefits of their therapeutic knowledge. This study aims to develop a database program that automatically converts the treatment skills described in the text version into a more structured version. In the previous study, our team analyzed patterns in the way that treatment skills are described and then tried to design a database program algorithm that identified every meaningful keyword used to describe treatment skills and put that word in the right cell of a structured table. This study continues the development of this program. East Asian medical herbal treatment information is broken down into 4 elements: the first one is the name or title of treatment skills, and the second is the symptoms to which the treatment is applied, the third is ingredients used, the fourth is how information is processed and the indications taken. This study presents the algorithm's principles on how to analyze and structure the fourth element, the processing of information and taking of indications, which is described in a form of ancient natural language.

Efficient and automated method of collapse assessment

  • Seismic collapse analysis requires efficient and automated method to perform thousands of time history analyses. The paper introduced the advantages of speed and convergence property of explicit method, provided a few techniques to accelerate speed of calculation and developed an automated procedure for collapse assessment, which combines the strong capacity of commercial explicit finite element software and the flexible, intelligent specialties of control program written in FORTRAN language aiming at collapse analysis, so that tedious and heavy work of collapse analysis based on FEMAP695 can be easily implemented and resource of calculation can be made the best use of. All the key commands of control program are provided to help analyzers and engineers to cope with collapse assessment conveniently.

Development of Convenient Software for Online Shelf-life Decisions for Korean Prepared Side Dishes Based on Microbial Spoilage

  • User-friendly software was developed to determine the shelf-life of perishable Korean seasoned side dishes in real time based on growth models of spoilage and pathogenic microorganisms. In the program algorithm, the primary spoilage and fastest-growing pathogenic organisms are selected according to the product characteristics, and their growth is simulated based on the previously monitored or recorded temperature history. To predict the growth of spoilage organisms with confidence limits, kinetic models for aerobic bacteria or molds/yeasts from published works are used. Growth models of pathogenic bacteria were obtained from the literature or derived with regression of their growth rate data estimated from established software packages. These models are also used to check whether the risk of pathogenic bacterial growth exceeds that of food spoilage organisms. Many example simulations showed that the shelf-lives of the examined foods are predominantly limited by the growth of spoilage organism rather than by pathogenic bacterial growth.

한국간호교육 100년 발달사적 연구(1900-2000) (History of Korean Nursing Education (1900-2000))

  • Only one hundred years of history in nursing education in Korea is not enough to develop the subject fully as a science. However, the development of Korean nursing education is a great historical event, because Korean nursing education has been accepted by a male-oriented Korean society and has led to a new paradigm in the new millenium. These results are largely due to the Korean people's high enthusiasm for education, as well as Korean women's diligence. I think these 100 years of history can be divided into five periods: (1) the Sunlight period (1900-1911) (2) the New born period (1912-1945) (3) the Settle-down period (1946-1960) (4) the Marked Growth period (1961-1980) (5) the Jumping Period (1981-2000) These classifications are characterized by changes in the educational system, a changed nursing curriculum, educational goals, educational outcomes, and implications. The characteristics of historical development of Korean nursing education was evaluated in three dimensions: structures, contents, and outcome. The structure of Korean nursing education consists of a 3-year program and a 4-year program. Most nursing leaders in Korea hope that these two programs will converge into one system. Secondly, the contents of nursing education in Korea underwent very active changes, according to historical development. These changes in the nursing curriculum have been developed to provide a professional education and develop nursing education as a modern science. Lastly, as to the results of nursing education in Korea, the education was needed to turn out advanced specialists in nursing. In the new millenium, knowledge and information will be the driving forces behind social development. A nation's level of development and creativity in nursing education is the most potent determinant of the future of Korean nursing. The best way to prepare for future challenges will be to create the backbone of a nursing education system. Hence, well-educated nurses in graduate programs should be turned into advanced specialists in nursing. These groups will upgrade the image of Korean nurses, and will have strong influence to improve patient care and the health situation in Korea.
