In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a multimedia information system integrating hypermdia, information retrieval, and DBMS technologies. We browse the information space through hypermedia link navigation and also use ad hoc queries for direct retrieval of information from the database. Both the hypermedia and the information retrieval systems are integrated into a database management system (DMBS) so that concurrent edition, update, and retrieval of documents can have the ACID properties of atomicity, consistency, isolation, and durability. We will first explain the architecture of the system and then, describe how the hypermedia system is integrated with information retrieval capability, and finally integrated with DBMS capabilities.

Integrated Ship-Shore Information System makes use of advanced technology of marine mobile communication and extends the computer network of shipping company to ship. This system conveniently accomplishes the information exchange between company and ship, guarantees navigation safety and improves commercial performance. The framework of integrated ship-shore information system and the analysis of its function are provided in this paper. Meanwhile, the idea based on the specification of J2EE to build this system is put forward and the relevant technology is demonstrated.

Academic societies in the field of science and technology are major producers of domestic research information. These information are very important sources to researchers, students and so on. KORDIC built an integrated information system which facilitates the progress of building databases and promotes users easy access to databases. In order to build efficient society research information system, we investigated former cases and analyzed requirement of each society. We identified principal information sources and built an integrated information service system using internet homepage and information retrieval system(KRISTAL-II). In the future we will expand participating societies and focus on text-based information.

In this paper, we introduce an integrated communication and control system(ICCS) for control of a crane. The system is integrated with a compasite technique as a network interfacing, a user interfacing and a system control for continuous process like as a container crane. The field-bus(Profibus) network module is used to interconnect each input/output module with main control unit. The MMI system for user interfacing is integrated with an ODBC-based data management tool and IECl131-based control logic design tool(Soft-Logic Designer:SLD). The each programmed control task in the main Controller is executed using a petri-net based scheduler.

온라인 기술이전시장은 단순한 기술 수요자와 공급자가 만나는 자리일 뿐만 아니라 기술이전 관련 정보를 제공함으로써 기술이전에 있어서 그 시간적, 물리적 비용을 줄이는 데 그 존재의 이유가 있다. 기술이전시 정보제공에는 시의성이 중요한 요인으로 작용하므로 이를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 콘텐츠 통합관리 시스템이 요구된다. 종래의 온라인 기술이전정보 제공 사이트는 단순한 기술정보의 제공과 수시로 발생하는 기술판 매자나 수요자의 갱신상황을 반영하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기술수요자나 기술공급자에게 보다 시의적절한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 방안을 제시하기 위하여 온라인 기술이전정보 통합 시스템에 대한 구현의 예를 제시하고자 한다.

In this study, a beam-coupling system is designed to improve the coupling efficiency of achip-integrated spectrometer when the waveguide is arranged in a linear and discrete manner. In the proposed system the beam is shaped to be anti-Gaussian, to deposit adequate energy in the edge waveguides. The beam is discretely coupled to the corresponding waveguide by a microlens array, to improve the coupling efficiency, and is compressed by a toroidal lens to match the linear discrete waveguides. Based on the findings of this study, the coupling efficiency of the spectrometer is shown to increase by a factor of 2.57. Accordingly, this study provides a reference basis for the improvement of the coupling efficiency of other similar spectrometers.

과학기술 분류표, 시소러스, 용어사전 등의 주요한 색인 및 검색 도구를 한국어, 영어 일본어의 3개 언어로 통합 구축하여 활용할 수 있도록 다기능, 다국어 과학기술 통합 개념체계의 모형을 설계하였다. 이 연구에서는 개념을 기본 단위로 한 시소러스 모형을 개발하였으며, 시소러스와 연계되는 용어사전 레코드는 ISO 12620 표준에 근거하여 필수요소를 지정하였다. 또한 과학기술분야 표준분류표를 마련하고 기존의 일반 분류표와의 매핑 테이블을 작성하여 다른 분류표를 통한 접근이 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 통합 개념체계를 이용하여 원자력 분야를 대상으로 한 프로토타입 시스템을 구축하고 실제 검색 사례를 제시하였다.

우리사회는 바야흐로 정보화시대로 진입하고 있으며 이러한 새로운 사회·기술적인 변화에 대응하여 새로운 국가 과학기술정보체제구축이 요구되고 있는 시점에 와있다. 따라서 새로운 시스템을 구축하기 위한 새로운 사회경제구조의 변화에 대한 청사진이 필요하다. 하지만 현재의 과학기술정보유통체제는 아직 이러한 변화를 고려하지 않은 채 추진되고 있다. 본 글은 이러한 새로운 변화에 직면하고 있는 국가 과학기술 R&D전자 정보서비스체제에 새로운 구조변화에 대한 가이드를 제공하고 또 다른 맥락에서의 정보서비스의 역할을 위치 지우고 정의하고자 시도되었다. 따라서 본 글에서 그러한 변화는 새로운 과학기술정보유통체제 구조변화를 전제로 하고 있으며, 연구결과 미래의 정보화 사회는 범위와 연결의 경제성을 극대화하는 방향으로 가고 있음을 확인하였다. 그리고 과학기술통합정보시스템의 목적은 기관간 정보를 공유하고 정보의 집적이익을 공유하자는 것에 있으며, 이 시스템에서 과학기술정보는 국가 경영차원에서 R&D파트로 작용하게 될 것이며, 결국 이를 통한 산·학·연간협력은 총체적인 국가과학기술 경쟁력을 강화하는 힘으로 작용할 것이다.

To prevent the inappropriate treatment of livestock manure and induce the correct circulation of them into farmland, systematic monitoring and management by the treatment and circulation stage of livestock manure are required. The purpose of this study was to apply ubiquitous information communictation technology (u-ICT) to a livestock waste management system for better treatment by utilizing ubiquitous computing technology in the livestock sector. Elements and levels of applicable u-ICT technology for efficient livestock manure management were derived by analyzing previous researches. In addition, a conceptual diagram of an integrated management system was suggested by analyzing the existing liquid fertilization process.

In the existing naval combat system, integrated management is done based on subsystems that make up the system. The naval combat system, however, is a large-scale distributed system made up of subsystems of diverse heterogeneous environments. Although each of the subsystems can be easily managed because they are on the same platform, it is extremely difficult to integrate and manage as a single entity all subsystems that make up the naval combat system because the heterogeneous environments and distributed systems have to be taken into account. In fact, there hasn't been a technique available to integrate and manage subsystems that make up the naval combat system, until now. In this paper, the architecture of an integrated management system is designed and implemented to provide the user with various services. Furthermore, a system that can manage subsystems of the naval combat system in an integrated way is developed.
