교사, 학부모, 아동의 상담 욕구에 기초한 통합적 집단독서치료 프로그램의 효과 (The Development and Effectiveness of a Biblio-Counseling Program for Elementary School Children)

  • This study designed, implemented, and evaluated a Biblio-Counseling program for elementary school children. Procedures included 20 60-minute sessions by counselor, 18 20-minute sessions in class by teacher, and 5 20-minute sessions at home by parents. The program was administered to 23 third grade elementary school children. Data were analyzed by frequency, mean, and paired t-test, using SPSS program packages. Results showed significant before and after differences in the degree of self-esteem. Besides, the children reported increased positive expression in class and decreased peer neglect and rejection at school. Children, parents and teacher expressed high satisfaction with the program. These results suggest that the multi-faceted approach as designed and implemented in this study is effective in promoting self-esteem, interpersonal growth, and relationship between child and parents.

초등학생용 학교생활적응 검사의 활용가능성 (Exploring the Applicability of the School Adjustment Test for Children)

  • In this study, a preliminary study has been made to check the availability of examination after selecting one among the criteria to adaptation of school life, in recognition of the necessity for a tool in order to collect multi =dimensional information about children. An examination has been done with the survey target of 291 pupils in the fifth and sixth grade in an elementary school located in Incheon. And the focus group with the teachers in charge of each class was undertaken to check the availability of the examination. As the result of the examination, 37 was the average score of children diagnosed as the category of temporary maladaptation in terms of the score of 4 sub-scales of school adaptation and their total scores, and 28 was the score which corresponds to the assessment of teachers. The results of examinations and the evaluations of teachers were proved to be highly correlated. Lastly discussion is focused on the meaning of these findings and the suggestions for the further studies.

해결중심적 집단상담 프로그램이 초등학교 아동의 교우관계 및 학교생활 적응에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Solution Focused Group Counseling Program on the Peer Relation and School Life Adaption of Elementary school children)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of solution focused group counseling program on peer relationship and school life adaption of elementary school children. The subjects in this study were the 4th graders at S Elementary School in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do. 20 students were selected through the preliminary test of peer relationship and school life adaption, that is to say, each 10 students of experimental group and control group. A solution focused group counseling program was provided by researcher to the experimental group in six sessions once or twice a week, 60 minutes each. but control group was not conducted for any program. In verifying of the program effects in this study, KOREAN SPSS/WIN(version 12.0) is used for statistical analysis. The major findings of this study are as follows: First, solution focused group counseling program has a positive effect on all parts of sub-factors of peer relationship except to union life between friends. Second, solution focused group counseling program has a effect on the school life adaption of elementary and its all parts of sub-factors except to school rules. As noted above, it is proved that solution focused group counseling program has a positive effect to improve parts of sub-factors of peer relationship and school life adaption. Accordingly, it is necessary to feel satisfaction and Qualitative improvement in peer relationship and help school life adaptation of elementary school children through solution focused group counseling program.

초등학생의 학습습관 향상을 위한 집단상담 프로그램 개발과 효과 (A group counsel ing program to improve the learning habits of elementary school children with learning difficulties)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a group counseling program to improve the learning habits of the elementary school children who experience difficulties learning, because of their wrong learning habits. To achieve it, the sub-elements of learning habits are set by "learning motive & attitude" and "learning technique" A group counseling program composed of the essential factors suitable for each element are srhseqrently, devised to pursue the improvement of learning habits. The study propositions are set as follows: Can the group counseling program improve the learning habits of elementary school children? 1. Can the group counseling program improve the learning motive and attitude of elementary school children? 2. Can the group counseling program improve the learning technique of elementary school children? The subject of this study is the 4th graders of W elementary school located in Gwangju Metropolitan City. After selecting 12 pupils from low scorers after a learning habits test, Each 6 of those are randomly assigned to an experimental group and a control group, respectively. In this way, they are pcrticipate in the group counseling program. The group counseling program is consisted of 10 sessions. The program is implemented for six weeks with a 50 min duration per session. As a measuring tool, a restructured test with only motive variables and technique variables, excluding remaining variables, from the Learning Habits Test by Choi Jong-Ryul (1992) is used for pre and post tests. The results of the study is acquired by integrating the statistics from the test tool. Observation of the counselor and testees' thoughts are as follows: The group counseling program affects the sub-elements of learning habits positively, namely learning motive & attitude and learning technique. The program applied in this study is effective in improving the learning habits of the pupils with lower learning habits. Accordingly, this program can be one of the methods to develop effective learning habits, set efficient strategies and exert abilities maximally for the learners, who did not adequately exert their abilities, due to wrong learning habits, while ineffectively learning without knowing effective learning habits. To improve and maintain the learning habits of the elementary school pupils, overall understanding should be backed in order to precisely analyze and identify the learning habits of the pupils. Besides, an association between schools and homes is also needed along with parents' concerns over their children's learning habits at home.

  • This article tried to show a new paradigm for elementary school counseling in Korea. Counseling in Korean elementary school has focused on the individual child and/or group of the children without considering school circumstances. But school has some special features which have to be counted for the efficiency of child counseling. Take for an example, children have to spend most of their day time with a class teacher for 6 days a week. So the talks and behaviors of the class teacher have strong influence on the children. These factors should be included in the elementary school counseling to help children grow up and develop. : Six main topics discussed in this articles were as follows. 1. Developmental tasks of Korean children have to be searched and organized. 2. The concept of class management has to be combined with the concept of counseling. 3. Establishing the conditions to facilitate subject learning has to be emphasized in the school counseling. 4. Counseling instruments applicable to the children should be developed. 5. The proper knowledge of teacher's way cf talking and behaving in class life should be organized. 6. The resources of school counseling should be identified and interconnected to provide better counseling service to the children.

중학교 가정과 교사의 가정과교육에 대한 견해와 역할수행에 관한 연구 (Attitudes to Home Economics Education and Role Performance of Home Economics Teacher in Middle School)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate attitudes to home economics education and role performance of home economics teacher in middle school. The target population of the study was middle school home economics teachers. A booklet of questionnaire was sent to home economics teachers in 499 middle school by mail throughout the whole country. 224 data(respondent rate was 45%) was analyzed into frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and ANOVA using SPSS program. The results were as follows: 1. Most home economics teachers more agreed to the progressive view of home economics education than to the r=traditional one. The majority of home economics teachers had best performed role as task performer and the second as counselor. The role as instructor was worst performed. 2. Regarding to views of home economics education according to personal and professional characteristics, only the traditional views of home economics education was statistically meaningful on teaching experience and types of school. 3. Regarding to degrees of role performance according to personal and professional characteristics of home economics teachers, teaching experience, types of school, plan to study in graduate school were statistically meaningful. 4. The group for traditional views had performed the role as home economics teacher better than the group against the view.

고등학생들의 성문화 (A Study of Sexual Attitudes and Opinions for 10th Grade Students in Co-Ed)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this research is to identify and understand sexuality in 10th grade co-ed students in Seoul, Korea in order to construct practical curriculum for sex education for youth. Method: One-hour class per week was done to the 3 classes among 6 classes for Spring semester in 1999: small group discussion(for 3 classes) & questionnaires(6 classes) were taken. Results: Despite the increased number of sex education programs, peers apparently remain the major source of information and the counselor of their sexual problems. The rate of correct answer of the sex knowledge is still low, especially on biological aspects of opposite sex. Western culture and women's movements have changed our society. In turn, sexual sterotypes and roles have been changing. Small group discussions were taken after the classes of pregnancy, abortion and unmarried parents. Their opinions on maintaining virginity were collected. The condition of choosing spouse and boy/girl friend is quite different in many aspects.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 자기격려 활동이 초등학생의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 검증하는데 있다. 광주광역시에 소재한 Y초등학교 5학년에서 2개 학급을 선정하였다. 한 학급은 실험집단으로 다른 한 학급은 통제집단으로 구성하였다. 실험집단은 8회기의 자기격려 활동을 하였다. 자기격려 활동의 영향을 검증하기 위하여 학교생활적응에 대한 사전-사후 검사로 자료를 수집하고 공분산분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실험집단은 통제집단보다 학교생활적응에 유의한 향상을 보였다. 둘째, 실험집단은 교사-학생 관계 적응, 교우 관계적응, 학교 수업 적응, 학교 규칙 적응에 유의한 향상을 보였다.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 진로 진학 상담 교사 양성제도 중 교육 대학원 석사 과정을 중심으로 문제점과 개선 방향을 제안하는 데 있다. 첫째, 진로 진학 상담 전공 교육 대학원 양성제도의 경우 ①서울 소재 대학이 3곳, 경기도 2곳, 인천 1곳, 강원 1곳, 대구 1곳, 전북 1곳, 충남 3곳, 충북 1곳으로 총 13개 대학에 개설되어 있다. ②대부분의 학교에서 이원화로 운영하고 있다. ③진로 진학 상담 전공으로 교육 대학원 석사 과정 교육과정은 많게는 26개 과정 적게는 10개 과정이 개설되어 있다. 둘째, 진로 진학 상담 대학원 양성제도의 문제점과 개선 방향은 무엇인가? ①표준화된 교육과정 마련이 필요하다. ②지역사회 연계 강화 교육 운영이 필요하다. ③교육 대학원 13개 교육과정의 수준 차이 해소 및 일부 대학 교수진 확보 부족을 해결할 필요가 있다. ④교육부 진로 교육 정책과가 13개 교육 대학원을 주기적으로 평가할 필요가 있다. ⑤교육부 진로 정책과에서 역할은 전국 초·중·고 진로 진학 상담 교사의 수요와 공급을 고려한 국가 차원에서 중장기적 계획 수립이 필요하다. ⑥진로 진학 상담 교사 자격증 취득 방법은 이원화하는 것이 바람직하다.

대학취업센터 상담자의 소명, 내담자의 상담자 지각, 작업동맹 간의 관계 (The Relationship among Calling of the University Career Center Counselor, Client Perception of Counselor, and Working Alliance)

  • 본 연구는 대학취업센터에 근무하는 상담자와 대학취업센터를 내방하는 내담자(학생)를 대상으로 상담자의 소명, 내담자의 상담자 지각, 상담자와 내담자가 지각한 작업동맹 간의 관계를 분석하고자 진행되었다. 이를 위해 34개 대학의 대학취업센터에서 진로상담을 담당하는 상담사 110명과 내담자 208명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상담자의 소명은 상담자가 지각한 작업동맹에 정적인 영향(${\beta}=.48$, p < .01)을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 25%를 설명하였다. 상담자의 소명은 내담자가 지각한 작업동맹에 정적인 영향(${\beta}=.21$, p < .01)을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 7%를 설명하였다. 둘째, 상담자의 소명은 내담자의 상담자 지각에 정적인 영향(${\beta}=.21$, p < .01)을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 8%를 설명하였다. 이를 통해 소명의식이 높은 상담자들이 작업동맹(상담협력관계)을 잘 맺고, 내담자는 소명의식이 높은 상담자를 전문적이고, 신뢰롭고, 호감있다고 지각할 가능성 역시 높음을 알 수 있었다.
