This study introduces the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) and explores the characteristics of CLASS for observing classroom. The CLASS is a standardized observation instrument that was largely developed for use in the USA. The CLASS attempts to provide a conceptual framework for categorizing classroom interactions and consists of three broad domains of quality (emotional supports, classroom organization, instructional supports). We simulated this method to the elementary school classes. The professional-teacher makes the best use of student's initiation behaviors, and the novice teacher focused on the leading the contents of subject. The novice teacher tyr to make more positive climate and to present more frequent feedback to students than professional teacher's classroom. The professional teacher would like to reveal the student's opinions, questions and subtle emotional state. The CLASS can be used to collect data on a wide range of specific aspects of the teaching and learning process at any given time.

This study is to clarify the actual conditions of the floor plan of middle and high schools in the rural area. Recently, many middle school and high school are remodeling the buildings and facilities based on the departmentalized classroom system. This study, through analyzing on 4 remodeling cases of middle and high schools in gyeongnam. This article discuses about the basic characteristics of the plan composition and the education programs of 4 schools. This study is showing the variation before and after remodeling and space organization types. The results of this study are summarized as follows; Home-room and home-base should be more faithfully. Various common space is needed to comfortable school life of students. In case of side corridor type plan, moving path is much needed. Sample schools took much more spaces of home base than before. This article discusses about the basic characteristics of the floor plan and the actual condition of the school facilities.
To investigate, how many, what kind of nutritional programs in primary school curriculum, all the textbooks were collected and analyseds. Through this study, what 1 obtained, the results are summarized as follow 1 There are a lot of nutrition education program in primary school textbooks, but it is very shortage in learning in the classroom. 2. Nutrition education is done some by classroom teaching In lunch feeding school, but It is insufficient. 3. It assumes that nutrition education must be done in all the primary school, whether the lunch feeding school or not. The reason is, nutrition education is the foundation of health. 4. Through a classroom teaching regularly, nutrition education is going to be done throughly. It is necessary that nutrition educational materials must be exploited.

The purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the recognition of students and teachers towards an influence of a subject classroom system to teacher's learning activities and student's learning attitude. The study was subjected to students and teachers at a school that has innovatively operated subject classroom system from before 2009. The results of the research are as follows. First, the result of investigation shows that the quality of class has been improved. The formats of managing class and class materials have become various. Second, there is an affirmative exchange in student's learning attitude, such as student's active participation, concentration, preparation and interest toward a class. Third, the fifty percent of teachers answered it that a block time system and intensive study system is required to manage an efficient subject classroom system. Lastly, the investigation shows that teachers and students are generally satisfied with running the subject classroom system. However, the satisfaction ratio of students is lower than the one of teachers.

The purpose of this study is to find problems and to provide architectural design standards of the Learning Space Unit(L.S.U.) in Elementary Schools through the Post-occupancy Evaluation(POE). In this study, we found six major problems of the type of the L.S.U. in elementary schools. More than 50% of users expressed dissatisfactions in these items : size, safety, cooling facility, noise, privacy and primary meaning for its original purpose. After the interrelation-analysis, we checked pros and cons about each forms of L.S.U. It is the result of analysis of the layout method in L.S.U. 1) "$8.4m{\times}8.4m$" classroom unit got the highest positive responses 2) "2-classroom type" and "4-classroom type" got higher score than "3-classroom type" 3) "Whole faced type" 1) made more active Multi-space than "Partial faced type" 4) prefered prepared "Open-classroom" to "Closed-classroom" 5) 'Zoning type between L.S.U.s' couldn't influence to user's responses. Designers can consult those informations when they plan a new, remodeling and additional elementary school.
There has been an increasing concern of how mathematical idea indicates and shares in a way to promote students' mathematical development. Such ideas highlighting need of the culture of mathematics classroom in mathematical education. The culture of mathematics classroom was constructed classroom social norms, sociomathematical norms, and classroom mathematical practice. This paper investigated how sociomathematical norms were constructed in two elementary mathematics classrooms by two different teachers.
This study aimed to provide the information on the thermal sensation and the amount of clothing worn of junior high school students in winter classroom the relation with their climate adaptability. Total usable questionnaires were obtained from 467 male and female students. The questionnaire included general characteristics, physical characteristics, self awareness of body shape, climate adaptability and subjective thermal sensation in winter classroom. The data were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 18.0 for frequency analysis, factor analysis, chi-square analysis, t-test and correlation analysis. The results were as follows. The average body type based on BMI was normal($20.1kg/m^2$ ). Females perceived their body type as thinner than males. They wore more (8.67 garment items compared to 8.14 for males). Only about 25% of students voted the thermal sensation to neutral(47% cool~very cold, 28% warm~very hot). Females were more sensitive to the cold, perceived less healthy, and wore more garments in the cold. Students felt colder in winter classroom when their cold adaptability was lower and they actively adjusted thermal insulation against the cold. It is recommended to suggest the guidelines for the proper indoor temperature and for the wear behavior in classroom in the perspectives of increasing the learning efficiency and improving the students' climate adaptability.

The purposes of this study are to investigate elementary students' perception of science classroom through an analysis of students' answer to an open-ended question and to suggest a framework for the analysis of science classroom culture, as the first step to develop an analysis tool for qualitative exploration of science classroom culture. We analyzed 571 responses and developed an analysis framework with six categories (i.e. major factors; power structure of a classroom community; focused domains of the science classroom; student concerns; atmosphere of science classroom; participation form). The details of the six categories can be summarized as follows: (1) major factors were revealed to be practical work, fun, teacher, community and others; (2) the power structure of classroom community was in the order of peer students, teacher, and individual student himself/herself; (3) the focused domains of the science classroom perceived by students were more about affective and behavioral domains than cognitive one; (4) major student concerns were teachers' teaching, having practical work, and the understanding of and the sharing of knowledge and opinions (5) science classroom atmosphere was noisy and pranky but fun and interesting; (6) the students participation forms were to be total participation or voluntary participation or cooperative practice. Through this study, not only suggesting the framework, but we could also get implications for the cultural aspects of science classroom based on the results of data analysis in this study.

The development of modern science and technology and computer engineering breakthroughs in the field of information and communication have brought about many changes in lifestyle. The government announced the goal of educational policy in 2030 to educate people in future society on a future-oriented perspective. Changes in the curriculum along with changes in educational facilities are essential. Therefore, the operation of a classroom should be associated with classroom spatial information. The BIM design based on 3D geometry information was designed. The BIM design can link the design information and non-geometric information of spatial information. This study examined the operation of school facilities based on classroom spatial information with BIM. This study suggests standardization of classroom spatial information based on BIM. The scenarios of BIM ordering and design for departmentalized classrooms management is proposed.
This paper is discussing about the culture of mathematics classroom for problem solving. The mathematics classroom which we have to aim at is where every students make proper belief and attitude about mathematics, and also can express their own idea and make question freely. In that classroom, the students can meet with various problem solving methods and communicate with other students, and then elaborate their own method.
