Design and Implementation of a Web Based Courseware by Level Differentiated Curriculum for learning Number 0 to 5 (5까지의 수 학습을 위한 수준별 웹 코스웨어 설계 및 구현)

  • A web based courseware was designed and implemented for teaching number 0 to 5 to students of first grade in elementary school. The leveled learning program, according to the difference of learning abilities between learners, provides them with the contents and problems of leveled learning. This study shows the proper feedback to learners after considering their answers and provides them the effective learning situation where children learn without any restrictions of time and space. Therefore, the leveled and differentiated learning has been realized and this courseware enhanced students' interests in learning and desire for achievement. Also, it led them who can attend just for a short time to attend continuously and to participate eagerly in learning.

Comparison of International Competitiveness of Digital Services Trade between Korea and China

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the international competitiveness of digital service trade between Korea and China and to help enhance the competitive advantage of digital service trade between the two countries. Design/methodology - This paper designs and establishes a comprehensive evaluation system for the international competitiveness of the Korea-China digital service trade. By using the analytical methods of combining theory and demonstration through qualitative and quantitative analysis, this paper makes a concrete and complete theoretical deconstruction and empirical measurement of its international competitiveness from the two levels of overall competitiveness and departmental competitiveness. At the same time, the study also analyzes the competitive advantages and comparative disadvantages of the two countries. Findings - It is found that South Korea has a strong competitive advantage in the sector competitiveness of digital service trade, and the export structure is reasonable and balanced, but the deficit pattern affects the overall competitiveness. China has a strong competitive advantage in the overall competitiveness of the digital service trade. However, the structural imbalance in the export sector weakens the competitiveness of the sector. Both Korea and China have the space advantage and competitive potential to enhance international competitiveness in terms of development trends. Originality/value - This paper takes the lead in solving the pain point of the relative lack of similar research topics. It demonstrates the evolution process, development trends, and structural characteristics of the digital service trade. A new combination of competitive power research methods is innovated, and a comprehensive evaluation system is established. The above innovation points show the academic theoretical value and practical application value of this study.

The Influence of Park Users' Cognition about the Park Design Concept and Strategy to Satisfaction - A Case Study of the Neighborhood Parks of Gwanggyo New Town - (공원이용자의 설계개념과 설계전략에 대한 인식이 공원 만족도에 미치는 영향 - 광교신도시의 근린공원을 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is analyze the impact on users' cognition of design concept, satisfaction of design concept, adapted park space, and effect of design concepts on park use satisfaction. The study sites are Central Mountain Park and Lake Park in Gwanggyo New Town, Suwon. We analyzed importance-satisfaction of park facilities in the park and preference-satisfaction of park. The results of this study are as follows. First, generally users visit the park as a family unit. Second, trails got high scores in importance-satisfaction of park facilities. Third, park users' satisfaction received a high score generally, but it doesn't show statistic significance with users' cognition of design concept. Fourth, cognition of the two parks' design concept and design strategy got a high score - over three points on average - based on the 5 - point Likert scale. However, upon analysis of users' cognition of design concept and satisfaction of design concept adapted park space, there is no statistic significance. Therefore, we noticed that the park's design concept had an effect on park users' satisfaction; rather, personal preference and satisfaction of users had more impact on satisfaction. On the other hand, this study was limited in that we didn't survey across all four seasons and had few target areas. But it has some significance in that we used a visual documentation, attaching existing photos including design concept, to increase users' understanding. Also, we directly asked about the parks' user design concept and strategy.

Innovative Networks of Foreign Capital and Spatial Identity in the Post-socialist System Transformations: The Case of Korean FDI Firms in Shanghai, China (후기 사회주의 체제전환 하의 해외 투자 기업 혁신 네트워크와 공간 특성 분석: 중국 상하이 한국 투자 기업 사례 연구)

  • China has transformed her strategies for economic development from exogenous development founded on foreign capitals to endogenous development based on enhancing technology innovation capabilities since 2000. More specifically, Chinese business activities have coupled with new institutional settings which enable them to facilitate advanced technology and management methods. As a result, the characteristics of the spatial economy in China are likely to transfer from export-led developmental space to technology-oriented developmental space. In this context, this paper aims to identify the characteristics of technology-oriented space by investigating intra-, inter- and extra-firms relations of Korean FDI firms in Shanghai, China. In terms of intra-firm relations, Korean FDI firms adopted strategies for maximizing business efficiency and effectiveness by transforming their personal networks into formal networks. In terms of inter-firm relations, the distinction of Korean FDI firms' networks has been found in accordance with firm size, industrial sectors, ways of investment etc. Finally, Korean FDI firms has formal networks resulted from institutional involvement, as well as informal (personal) networks based on guanxi (inter-personal relations) in extra-firm relations. Therefore, two types of processes affecting the networks and institutional legacies of the Soviet system can be identified. First is the interaction of institutions and restructuring of pre-existing networks. Second is the insulated institutions and endurance of preexisting networks. And these two governance types have created regional economies which are embedded and over-embedded.

A Study on the Solution of Product Particle Attachment Problem using Practical TRIZ (실용 트리즈를 활용한 제품 Particle 부착 문제의 해결 방안 연구)

  • In the external inspection and packaging stages of products used in the semiconductor manufacturing process, there is a problem in which particles are adsorbed to the product itself or a carrying tool due to electrostatic discharge. This study presents a methodology that can improve the problem of adsorption of particles to a product by using a practical TRIZ technique. By applying the proposed practical TRIZ-based methodology, the problem was defined, and contradictions caused by product waiting time were derived. Among the derived contradictions, physical contradictions were set and the concept of 'space separation' was applied to derive solutions such as 'installation of Ionizer' and 'improvement of the layout of the workroom'. As a result of the experiment by applying 'Ionizer Installation' and 'Workroom Layout Improvement' derived through the application of practical TRIZ, it was confirmed that the particle adsorption problem that occurs during the waiting time of the product can be solved.Through this study, it is expected that workers, facility engineers, and technical engineers working at manufacturing processes will be able to effectively solve the problems they face through creative thinking and change of ideas by using practical TRIZ techniques, and contribute to innovative technology development and productivity improvement.

Successful Positioning Strategy of KIA K5 - by understanding market needs - (기아자동차 K5의 포지셔닝 성공사례 - 변화하는 시장을 이해하고 주도하다 -)

  • The objective of this case study is to analyze how effectively KIA K5, which is a leading mid-size car brand, has positioned itself into the mid-size car market. Before KIA launched the K5, Sonata and SM5 were the leading brands in the mid-size car market. They had loyal customers who like their similar images. As many competitors keep launching new brands or new designs into the car industry, Sonata and SM5 were pressured to introduce new versions. But, the YF Sonata and the New SM5 failed to catch up with the new trends in the market. Whilst YF Sonata was perceived as too innovative, the New SM5 was treated as an old car by the target customers of the mid-size car. While the two leading brands struggled to attract customers, KIA K5 found a new market space by identifying and focusing on the lucrative replace and up-grade demand segment and filling the gap between the current product category values and the emerging mid-size car category values. The K5 found the right values that customers need and successfully articulated the values to the customers. This case study illustrates that a successful positioning strategy can be effectively employed to attract customers in the saturated car manufacturing industry. This case can be summarized as the successful positioning strategy of KIA K5 is comprised of four primary pillars: design innovation, market analysis, STP (segmentation, targeting, and positioning), and launch strategy. The KIA K5 case study provides valuable insights and implications for many other companies that are planning to find a proper positioning strategy for their own business.

  • The living lab is a user-participatory innovation space where users can solve problems by themselves. Living Lab members are able to participate in all aspects of product development from technology conception. In this study, to prevent pedestrian accidents, auto-image sensing signal system was developed in Jeonju City, using the Living Lab method. In addition, we measured effectiveness of the auto-image sensing signal system with respect to pedestrian waiting time, pedestrian and driver signal violation, and pedestrian jaywalking. It was also compared the measures before installation, after installation and after applying Living Lab method. As a result, all of the three measures of effectiveness appeared to be more effective after Living Lab than after installation. Overall, this study is very significant in that it is the first case where the living lab is applied in transportation.

Changes in Cell Ca2+ Distribution in Loquat Leaves and Its Effects on Cold Tolerance

  • Calcium has been associated with improved cold tolerance in many crops. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in leaf cell $Ca^{2+}$ distribution and cell organelle ultrastructure of loquat (Eriobotrya japonica Lindl.) plants in response to cold stress at $-3^{\circ}C$, using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Two loquat accessions, Zaozhong 6 (a commercial cultivar) and oakleaf loquat (a wild relative) were used. Cold tolerance, as measured by leaf browning rate, was higher in oakleaf plants, and calcium treatment improved cold tolerance in both species. Cold stress first induced inward transport of $Ca^{2+}$ from the intracellular space. Then, the imported $Ca^{2+}$ was aggregated around the chloroplast membrane, finally entering the chloroplast. This pattern of $Ca^{2+}$ distribution in leaf cells occurred earlier in Zaozhong 6 than in the wild loquat. With increasing time of cold exposure, the chloroplast membranes of Zaozhong 6 leaves were damaged, blurred and even disappeared, while those of wild oakleaf loquat leaves maintained their structure longer. In Zaozhong 6, cold stress induced a clear cavity between poorly structured granal thylakoids and vesicles appearing inside the chloroplast, while in oakleaf leaves cold stress had little effect on the ultrastructure of chloroplasts (although chloroplast membranes looked blurred). Loquat leaves accumulated free calcium ions around chloroplasts in response to cold stress, with earlier calcium accumulation occurring in the cold-sensitive cultivar Zaozhong 6 than in wild oakleaf loquat. These results demonstrate that these two loquat species have differences in both cold tolerance and calcium accumulation dynamics.

A Study on Median Filter's Improvement for Removal of Impulse Noise (임펄스 잡음 제거를 위한 미디언 필터의 개선에 관한 연구)

  • With the development of the information technology in recent years, the innovation of multimedia information technology also has been accelerated. Many fields of the digital image processing technologies as image data compression, recognition. restoration, etc. are now being studied actively. When transmitting and saving digital images, noise would be made, and we are using the image filters to remove the noise. The Image Filter used Digital Image Process basically has a two-dimensional structure. There are two methods of the filter's creation - One is reiterating one dimension, and the other is using an indivisible two-dimension image filter. The space domain method using mask is the latter one. That is inserting the value-multiplied pixels values faced each other when the two-dimension filter overlapped on input image- to the filter value's center position and the same position in the image. The image filter is being used widely along with one-dimension filter, according each noise. Most people are using various median filters to remove the impulse noise. However, in this paper, I suggested a powerful switching median filter and compared with conventional method for verification.

Development Model of Fab Lab in India: Focused on Fab Lab Vigyan Ashram (인도 팹랩의 발전 모델 연구: 팹랩 빅얀 아쉬람을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the establishment of Fab Lab is to promote the sustainable development of local communities around the world. To this end, The Fab foundation are preparing a resource-circulating society that maintains a city's self-sufficiency rate of 50% or more by 2054. In developed countries, Fab Lab is not only a manufacturing space for startup support, but an open innovation space for learning and creation. In addition, in emerging countries, Fab Lab is playing a role as a digital production center to create and share appropriate new technologies by reflecting the needs of local communities. India has 70 Fab Labs, the largest emerging country, ahead of Russia's 48. India's Fab Lab is conducting a collaboration project through regular meetings held every six months. The subject of this study, Fab Lab Vigyan Ashram, is defined as a place to transfer the concept of digital lab to alternative schools in rural India. In this study, we looked at a case in which an alternative school for an agricultural community called Vigyan Ashram, the modern version of the Gurukula system, successfully combined with the digital fabrication called Fab Lab to become a new citizen-led making community of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Based on this, we explored the development model of the Indian Fab Lab that fits the local situation.
