3D body scan data are used widely in various fields to make products and living spaces for superior human body fitness. Based on the 3D measurements of human bodies for teens in Size Korea 2013, this research provides a way of finding the representative body sizes and 3D body scan data. First, a multi-dimensional vector space consisting of many measurement items was projected onto a 2D vector space with circumference and length components via factor analysis. The representative body sizes and 3D scan data close to these values were obtained via the Mahalanobis distance in 2D space. Considering the adolescent growth pattern shown on this 2D space, males were divided into 4 age groups and females were divided into 3 age groups. Using the eigenbodies corresponding to the column vectors of the component score coefficient matrix, the representative body sizes of 13 measurement items (male) and 14 measurement items (female) for each age group were calculated. The representative body sizes and 3D scan data are very useful for modeling representative 3D human figures.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to establish a simple formula to predict renal length in children using a Technesium-99m dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) scan data, and to compare it with the formula derived from ultrasonography, which is widely accepted. Methods: Children who underwent a DMSA scan and ultrasonography were reviewed retrospectively, and those who had anatomical urinary tract abnormalities or urinary tract infections were excluded. Results: A total of 230 children (84 males and 146 females; age, 1 month to 16 years; mean age, $16.8{\pm}27.4$ months). Mean renal length measured by DMSA scan was longer than that by ultrasonography ($6.38{\pm}1.16$ vs. $6.02{\pm}1.14cm$; P < 0.001). Renal length was correlated with age, weight, height, and body surface area on the DMSA scan and ultrasonography, and showed the strongest positive correlation with height. The following formulae were established to predict renal length: mean renal length (cm) = 5.433 ${\times}$ height (m) + 2.330 (R2, 0.833) using the DMSA scan data, and mean renal length (cm) = 5.367 ${\times}$ height (m) + 2.027 (R2, 0.853) using ultrasonography data. Conclusion: We propose a simple height-based formula to predict renal length in children using a DMSA scan data, and validate it by comparing with ultrasonography formula.

The organ or tissue doses were determined with head and neck phantom measurement for multiple axial scans (36 slices), multiple coronal scans (13 slices), 3 types of single axial scans(orbit, maxillary sinus and mandibular canal) and single coronal scan (maxillary sinus). For each scan sequence 30 TLDs were placed in selected sites(16 internal sites and 14 external sites) in a tissue-equivalent phantom. The exposure was made at 120kVp, 500mAs with 5 mm slice width. The results were as follows : 1. In multiple axial scans, the greatest effective dose recorded was that delivered to the thyroid glands(2.77 mSv) and the least was that received by the skin(0.05 mSv). From these data, stochastic effects were 202.2x10/sup -6/ and 3.7×10/sup -6/, respectively. 2. In multiple coronal scans, the greatest effective dose recorded was that delivered to the salivary glands(0.58 mSv) and the least was that received by the skin(0.01 mSv). From these data, stochastic effects were 42.2×10/sup -6/ and 0.7×10/sup -6/, repectively. 3. Among single axial scans, the greatest effective dose recorded was that delivered to the salivary gland(0.38 mSv) in maxillary sinus scan. From this data, stochastic effect was 27.7×10/sup -6/. 4. In single coronal scan, the greatest effective dose recorded was that delivered to the salivary gland(0.01 mSv). From this data, stochastic effect was 1.0×10/sup -6/. 5. The equivalent dose measured that delivered to the lens of the eyes was 69.64 mSv in multiple axial scan, 39.32 mSv in multiple coronal scan and 36.77 mSv in single axial scan(orbit).
Laser scanners are widely used for reverse engineering and inspection of freeform parts in industry such as motors, electronic products, dies and molds. Due to the lack of measuring software and positioning device, the laser scanning processes have been erroneous and inconsistent. In order to automate measuring processes, an automated scan plan generation software and a proprietary hardware are developed. In this paper, an automated laser scanning system using a 3-axis motorized stage is proposed. In the scan planning step, scan directions, paths, and the number of scans are generated considering optical and mechanical parameters. In the scanning step, the generated scan plan is downloaded into the laser scanner and the motorized stage and the points on the surface are captured automatically. Finally, the point data set is analyzed to evaluate the performance of the system.
This paper describes the designed and fabricated thermal imaging system with the SPRITE(Signal PRocessing in The Element) detector, operating in the 3-12 micron band. This system consists of an afocal telescope, a scan unit containing the SPRITE detector, an electronic processor unit and a cooler. The optical scan system utilizing rotating polygon and oscillating mirror, is 2-dimensional serial/parallel scan type using five elements of the detector. And the electronic processor unit performs digital scan conversion to reform the parallel data stream into serial analog data compatable with conventional RS-170 video. The scan field of view is 40 ${\times}$ 26.7 and the MRTD(Minium Resolvable Temperature Difference) is 0.6 K at 7.5 cycles/mm. The acquired thermal image indicates that this system has a satisfactory performance.

This study analyzes the foot shape of female high school students using 3D foot scan data based on a comparison with adult women (20s'-30s'). Data were collected from the foot anthropometry of 199 female high school students in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do. The right foot was measured indirectly by 3D laser scanner. There are 16 items in the foot anthropometric measurements. The $6^{th}$ Size Korea (measured by 3D scan data) is used for women's foot data. The results of the 3D measurements data investigation show that the foot length and foot width became longer and wider as the age increased. It is classified by three types after analyzing foot shape. Type 1 (28.1%) represented the shortest foot length, the narrowest foot width as well as the thick foot and long ankle shape. Type 2 (4.3%) represented the wide foot width such as the wide lateral ball width and semi-thickness shape. Type 3 (67.7%) referred to the widest foot width, flat foot and short ankle shape.

This paper proposes serial test data compression, a novel DFT scheme for embedded cores in SOC. To reduce test data amounts, share bit compression and fault undetectable fault pattern compression techniques was used. A Circuits using serial test data compression method are derived from a scan DFT method including a test-per-clock technique. For an experiment of the proposed compression method, full scan versions of ISCASS85 and ISCASS89 were used. ATALANTA has been used for ATPG and fault simulation. The amount of test data has been reduced by maximum 98% comparing with original data.

This pape presents the efficient test data compression method considering test power dissipation in scan test of IP core. There are many researches about test data compression using scan slice selective encoding except power dissipation. We present the new algorithm that assigns the don't care value to be a minimal hamming distance between adjacent slices. Experimental results show that the power dissipation is reduced.

This paper proposes OPTICAL MARKER fer registering process - one of the 3D measurement process : scan registering - merging - measurement. If the registering work is carried out manually, it can be accompanied with much time and many errors. Because the patterned marker make registering process automatic, many firms use it now. But the physical shape of existing markers is the source of the data loss caused by hiding surface, and the marker arrangement is the source of the time loss. The optical marker proposed in this paper has marker generator, organized a large number of binary coded control laser diode, separate from 3D scan object. So, it does not take much time for the marker disposition, and it is not the origin of the data loss, and the binary coded laser information make the auto-registering possible.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of Reference Ear Plug (REP) during cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan for the generation of lateral cephalograms from CBCT scan data. Methods: Two CBCT scans were obtained from 33 adults. One CBCT scan was acquired using conventional methods, and the other scan was acquired with the use of REP. Virtual lateral cephalograms created from each CBCT image were traced and compared with tracings of the real cephalograms obtained from the same subject. Results: CBCT scan with REP resulted in a smaller discrepancy between real and virtual cephalograms. In comparing the real and virtual cephalograms, no measurements significantly differed from real cephalogram values in case of CBCT scan with REP, whereas many measurements significantly differed in the case of CBCT scan without REP. Conclusion: Measurements from CBCT-generated cephalograms are more similar to those from real cephalograms when REP are used during CBCT scan. Thus, the use of REP is suggested during CBCT scan to generate accurate virtual cephalograms from CBCT scan data.
