유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 HFC의 최적설계 (The Optimal Design of HFC by means of GAs)

  • Control system by means of fuzzy theory has demonstrated its robustness in applying to the high-order and nonlinear dynamic system in that it can utilizes the human expert knowledges in system design. In this paper, first, the design methodology of HFC combined PID controller with fuzzy controller by membership function of weighting coefficient is proposed. Second, Second, an auto-tuning algorithms utilizing the simplified reasoning method and genetic algorithms is presented to improve the performance of hybrid fuzzy controller. Especially, in order to obtain the optimal scaling factors and PID parameters of HFC using GA based on advanced initial individual, three kinds of estimation modes such as basic, contraction, and expansion mode are effectively utilized. The proposed HFC is evaluated and discussed in ITAE, overshoot and rising time to show applicability and superiority with simulation results.

고속전철 가선계의 축소모델 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Dynamically Scaled Model of the Catenary for High Speed Railway)

  • A dynamically scaled model of the catenary with a nominal scaling factor of 18.5:1 is designed and constructed. The motivation for developing such a model is the great difficulty of making accurate measurements on the full-scale catenary and the difficulty of making experimental modifications to it. The scaled model is designed to be dynamically equivalent to the full scale catenary with respect to the mass and elastic strength. The scaled model is partially verified by comparing linear vibration and wave characteristics with those predicted by the simulation study.

  • This paper presents an optimal tuning method for Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) of current controller for HVDC using Genetic Algorithm(GA). GA is probabilistic search method based on genetics and evolution theory. The scaling factors of FLC are tuned by using real-time GA. The proposed tuning method is applied to the scaled-down HVDC simulator at Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute(KERI). Experimental result shows that disturbances are well-damped and the dynamic performances of FLC have the better responses than those of PI controller for small and large disturbances such as ULTC tap change, reference DC current change and DC ground fault.

  • In this Paper, it was designed the GA-fuzzy controller of a Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor(TCSC) for enhancement of power system stability. The newly designed controller of TCSC was designed to overcome the nonlinearity such as operating point change of power system as well as to respond to disturbances as uncertainties of line parameters and line fault. So, fuzzy controller by intelligent control theory was used for it. And the fuzzy controller was optimized from a genetic algorithm for complements the demerit such as the difficulty of the component selection of fuzzy controller namely. scaling factor. membership function and control rules. Nonlinear simulation results show that the proposed control technique is superior to conventional PSS in dynamic responses over the wide range of operating conditions and is convinced robustness and reliableness in view of structure.

The Gelation Studies. of N-Methylolated PAAms in Aqueous Media

  • The gelation phenomena of N-methylolated PAAm (M-PAAm) in aqueous media was studied. The critical gelation concentration (CGC) was very close to the calculated $C^*$ of the scaling theory. But the CGC of lower MW M-PAAm deviated from $C^*$ due to contamination of small molecules. We propose that the CGC is the close packing configuration of polymer molecules in solution. The experimental results of the gelation of M-PAAm/PAAm mixture proved that the close packing configuration is essential to make a gel. We calculated the minimum quantity of M-PAAm to make M-PAAm/PAAm mixture a gel by using the close packing configuration. We used a lattice model.

Country-Specific Digital Inequalities in Older People's Online Health Information Seeking in Europe: Impact of Socio-Demographic and Socio-Economic Factors

  • Since older people are traditionally considered disadvantaged when it comes to Internet use, it is useful to examine whether older individuals use the Internet for health information seeking (HIS). This study aims to investigate digital inequalities in terms of Internet use by older population for HIS in the European region. As methods, we applied secondary data analysis (of Eurostat data) to investigate the influence of age, educational level, sex, and countries' wealth. Cluster analysis combined with multidimensional scaling was used to find out those countries exhibiting similarities in older people's online HIS. The main results are: Older individuals do not equally use the Internet in general and for HIS in particular. Older Internet users with higher level of education and of the female sex are more likely to use the Internet for health information.

자유후류 기법을 이용한 다중로터 공력해석 프로그램의 개발 및 검증 (Development and Validations of the Aerodynamic Analysis Program of Multi-Rotors by Using a Free-Wake Method)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 다중로터의 공력특성 해석이 가능한 수치해석 기법을 개발하고 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 기 개발된 시간 전진 자유후류 모델이 고려된 비정상 용출 및 중첩 패널 코드에 table look-up 방식을 추가하여 로터 동력의 예측이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한, look-up table을 다양한 레이놀즈수 영역에서 적용하기 위해서 레이놀즈수 보정법을 사용하였다. 계산 결과는 동축 반전로터와 탠덤로터의 실험 결과를 이용하여 검증하였다. 동축 반전로터 검증에서 본 연구에서와 같이 블레이드의 두께효과가 고려되어 해석될 경우 실험치와 더 가까운 결과를 얻음을 확인하였다. 탠덤형 로터 검증 시 특정한 간격에서 와류 상호작용에 의한 와류 불안정성이 존재하였다. 이 경우 후류의 불안정성은 단일로터의 후류를 각 로터의 초기 후류형상으로 이용하는 방법을 통해 제거할 수 있었다. 검증된 코드를 이용하여 로터 간격에 따른 공력성능의 차이를 운동량 이론과 비교하였다.

초여름 남해광역권의 수괴별 식물플랑크톤 군집구조 특성 (Distribution Characteristics and Community Structure of Phytoplankton in the Different Water Masses During Early Summer of Southern Sea of Korea)

  • To assess short-term variation of summer phytoplankton community structure in different water masses, phytoplankton and environmental factors were monitored from 31 stations on and off the southern coasts of Korea, from June 18 to June 20 2009. According to multidimensional scaling (MDS) and cluster analysis based on phytoplankton community data from each station, the southern sea was divided into two groups. The first group included stations in the south-eastern region of Jeju Island, which is strongly influenced by the Kuroshio warm current. The second group located along the coastal region of the southern sea, which was mainly comprised of Bacillariophyceae and Crytophyceae. Of these stations, St. 13 and 28 formed a temperature front caused by different hydrological conditions. In particular, nutrients and Chl.a concentrations in these two stations were significantly higher compared to those in the other stations. This indicates that phytoplankton population and subsequent microalgal growth under high nutrient concentrations vary in different water masses. Our results support the theory that phytoplankton community structure in the southern sea of Korea can be influenced on a short-term scale by different water masses and currents.

  • We have investigated the mixed-state Hall effect in HgBa$_2CaCu_2O_6$, HgBa$_2Ca_2Cu_3O_8$, and Tl$_2Ba_2Cau_2O_8$ thin films as functions of the magnetic field up to 18 T. At high fields and low temperatures, the scaling exponent in ${\rho}_{xy}$ = A${\rho}_{xx}\;^{\beta}$ shows a universal behavior, ${\beta}$ = 1 ${\pm}$ 0.1, regardless of the field, the number of CuO$_2$ layers, the types of defects, and even the types of compounds. At low fields and high temperatures, p = 1 ${\pm}$ 0.1 also appears as a universal number although the observed field range is rather limited. These observations show the universal scaling of Hall resistivity in the regions of the clean and the moderately clean limit, consistent with a theory based on the midgap states in the vortex core.

  • 최근 많은 임베디드 실시간 시스템에 동적 전압 조절(Dynamic Voltage Scaling: DVS)을 지원하는 프로세서를 사용하고 있다. 이런 시스템의 설계 및 동작의 최적화를 위한 중요한 요소 중 하나가 전력(power)이다. 동적 전압 조절을 지원하는 프로세서의 슬로우다운을 이용하므로서 많은 소비 전력을 절약할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 태스크의 동기화가 필요한 임베디드 실시간 시스템에서 효율적인 전력 소비를 위해 태스크들의 슬로우다운 값을 구하는 휴리스틱 알고리즘들을 제안한다. 기존 알고리즘에서는 상대 마감시간이 작은 태스크의 슬로우다운 값은 상대 마감시간이 크거나 같은 태스크의 슬로우다운 값보다 크거나 같아야 한다는 제약조건을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 제약조건을 완화하여 기존 알고리즘과 같은 시간복잡도를 가지면서 전력을 더 작게 소비하는 휴리스틱 알고리즘들을 제시한다. 실험을 통해 소비전력 면에서 효율적임을 보였다.
