Purpose: This study aims to measure the level of satisfaction with the overall education of current students, who are major consumers of education by department at the Health Care Convergence University, and to establish development strategies such as improving education quality and satisfaction by deriving problems and improvements. Research design, data and methodology: This study drew conclusions through secondary data analysis based on data surveyed by the Educational Performance Management Center of a university in the academic year of 2020. The target of the education consumer satisfaction survey was 470 students of the College in the academic year 2020. Frequency analysis and correlation analysis were applied to the data using the statistical package program SPSS 25 version. Results: In the major curriculum satisfaction survey, the department with the highest score was optics and optics, 4.11, and the department with the lowest score was medical IT, 3.29. Conclusions: The department with the highest correlation in the correlation analysis result of the demand survey by department was the Department of Medical Management and the Department of Medical IT, with a correlation coefficient r=0.984, and the lowest correlation in the correlation analysis result of the demand survey by department was the Department of Medical IT and Dental Hygiene, with a correlation coefficient r= -0.085.
Objectives : To determine the relationships among quality, satisfaction, value and purchase intention in health care service. Methods : The data were gathered from out-patients who had used hospital services. They were asked to assess service quality, satisfaction, service value, and purchase intention. A total of 557 usable questionnaires were gathered. The data were analyzed using SAS version 6.12. The analysis methods employed in the study were confirmatory analysis and covariance structural analysis. Results : Service quality exhibited a significant and positive relationship with satisfaction, service value, and purchase intention. Furthermore, satisfaction had a significant and positive relationship with purchase intention. And finally, service value had a significant and positive relationship with both satisfaction and purchase intention. Based on these findings, it is evident that satisfaction was a mediator between service quality and purchase intention. Also service value played a mediating role between service quality and satisfaction. Conclusions : These results suggest that service quality is an antecedent of satisfaction and sonics value, and exerts a stronger influence on purchase intentions than satisfaction and service value do. Thus, managers may need to emphasize service quality in health care.
The current health care system demands provisions for patient care in perspectives of a cost-effectiveness and patient satisfaction. Critical pathway implementation facilitates optimal sequencing and intervention timing of patient care, and makes medical team and patients participate in a treatment actively. In this study, a critical pathway was developed and implemented to patients with osmidrosis who undertake operation. Sixty patients were included in the study. The critical pathway was implemented for care of 26 patients while the traditional care was implemented for 34 patients. In the critical pathway implemented group, time needed for charting and unessential working was reduced. Mean time amount of time for patient nursing was increased. The critical pathway implementation is an effective method to utilize time of medical team. Also it increases the satisfaction index of patients and medical team simultaneously.
The aim of this study was to examine differences in the level of satisfaction with medical care at a public health center between patients receiving free-care compared to those paying out-of-pocket. SERVQUAL(Comprehensive Service Quality Measurement Scale), a pyschometrically valid measure for evaluating hospital service quality, was used to assess patient satisfaction. The study sample consisted of 279 patients who received medical care at a public health center. The interview was conducted between April 23 and May 7, 1998. The results was as follow: 1. There were more elderly people among free-care patients than out-of-pocket patients. Education and income levels were lower amongs those receiving free-care. There were, however, no differences in the distribution of gender and religion between the two groups. Patients receiving free-care tended to visit the public health center more frequently compared to those self-paying patients. 2. Overall, free-care patients showed higher satisfaction level than that of self-paying patients. except for the dimension on sympathy and shape.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify patient satisfaction about nursing care provided by Advanced Practice Nurses (APN) using the La Monica-Oberst Patient Satisfaction Scale (LOPSS). Methods: The investigation was conducted including 263 patients who experienced care provided by 41 APNs at a tertiary hospital in Korea. Patient satisfaction with nursing care was measured using 41-item LOPSS. We analyzed the data using descriptive statistics, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA. Results: Overall patient satisfaction with APN care was high. The LOPSS scores for APNs were 52.26 for good impression, 61.75 for interpersonal support, 81.32 for dissatisfaction and 195.93 for total score. "APNs talk down to me" was a reverse coding item which demonstrated the highest score for patient satisfaction. Among patients' characteristics, age and type of main caregiver were independent factors related to patients's satisfaction. Among APN's characteristics, work experience was significantly related to patients' satisfaction. Conclusion: This study identified patient satisfaction regarding nursing care provided by APNs. High patient satisfaction in APN services demonstrated APNs' contribution to quality improvement in health care services. It is recommended that various outcome research about APN service needs to be performed.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between patient characteristics and patient satisfaction. Methods: A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was conducted in an acute care hospital. The subjects were 317 patients discharged from general medical and surgical nursing care units during September, 2005. Patient satisfaction was measured using the short-form satisfaction scale of Hwang and Park(2001). Additional information about patient characteristics, including general demographics and health care utilization variables, was collected from the hospital information systems. Multiple regression analysis was performed to determine patient characteristics influencing patient satisfaction. Results: Patients were satisfied with hospital care with an average of 4.10 on a five-point Likert scale. Patient characteristics explained 13.5% of the variance of patient satisfaction. The significant factors influencing patient satisfaction were patients' age and perceived health status. There was no significant relationship between structural variables and patient satisfaction. Conclusion: This study showed that patients' characteristics were significant factors explaining patient satisfaction. Therefore, these characteristics should be adjusted in reporting patient satisfaction as an indicator for hospital-level or department-level rating.
Background: To identify the factors that affect the current status and satisfaction of people with disabilities at community oral care centers. Methods: A structured self-administered survey, including five questions on facility environment, five on usage procedure, four on medical skill, four on care cost, three on friendliness, and three on satisfaction, was administered to 218 residents of the G-disabled community care center. It comprised a Likert 5-point scale (strongly agree, 5 points; agree, 4 points; moderate, 3 points; disagree, 2 points; not at all, 1 point). The reliability of the measurement tool was 0.932 for Cronbach's α. Results: The evaluation of community oral care centers for the disabled showed that the environment was hygienic (4.42±0.73), reservation system was well maintained (4.18±0.95), and the dentist-in-charge was satisfied with the treatment (4.37±0.62). The participants agreed that the details were sufficiently explained (4.29±0.71). However, in terms of medical expenses, the score of "have fully heard the explanation of medical expenses and reductions" was 3.88±0.92. The factors affecting satisfaction were sex, final educational background in the facility environment, usage procedure, and medical skill. Conclusion: To increase the satisfaction of people with disabilities at community oral care centers, it is necessary to establish a facility environment and service according to the patients' need and increase the reduction or exemption benefits between different treatment cost categories. Oral health management policies for the disabled should be developed based on these factors, so that the oral care of vulnerable groups in blind spots can be maintained.
This study was to compare multidimensional outcomes of patient's satisfaction after cataract surgery and to identify factors influencing satisfaction after operation. Patient's satisfaction was measured with three dimensions : interpersonal care, physician explanation and hospital care. Overall satisfaction was measured as means of three dimensional scores. For the study, a prospective study was performed with 389 patients who had undergone cataract surgery for either one eye or both eyes. The surgery was performed by 20 ophthalmologists who were practicing at university hospitals and general hospitals. Patients were interviewed and clinical data (the visual acuity of operated eye, visual function, symptom score and satisfaction with vision) were obtained. The doctors were questioned with self-reported questionnaire forms. Medical records were also examined to understand surgery Process. The survey was conducted before(389) and after operation(327). Alter excluding cases with incomplete data, 3n cases were enrolled In this study. Both the overall satisfaction and the satisfaction with physician explanation increased after the operation whereas the satisfaction with interpersonal care and hospital care did not change significantly. Multiple regression analysis showed that the level of education, baseline satisfaction scores and the degree of vision improvement were statistically significant variables. The preoperative lower level of education, higher level of overall satisfaction (interpersonal care, physician explanation, hospital care scores) and the more the satisfaction with vision improvement were associated with the improvement of postoperative satisfaction scores.

Purpose: The main purpose of this study was to compare the level of satisfaction of patients with nursing care received, and of nurses with nursing care provided to their patients. Another purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between job satisfaction by the nurses and satisfaction with nursing care they provide. Method: A self-report questionnaire developed by Yoo & Hong (1999) was used to measure patient and nurse satisfaction. The participants were 147 patients and 133 nurses and data were collected from October 23 to October 30, 2002. Data analysis was done uslng SPSS WIN 11.0. Result: The average score for patient satisfaction was 2.47 (maximum score 5.0) and for nurses, 2.20. This difference was statistically significant. The patients gave high scores on care related personal hygiene, but they gave low scores for critical nursing areas such as following appropriate procedure for administering medications. No significant relationship was found between satisfaction with their nursing care by the nurses and satisfaction with the job. Conclusion: Even though the patient scores were significantly higher than nurses', the overall average score was very low and critical nursing actions received the lowest scores. It is necessary to identify areas in need of improvement and develop continuing education programs for nurses.
