A Needs Assesment and Satisfaction Level of Family Support Services for Preschoolers with Disabilities (장애아동 가족지원 서비스 요구 및 만족도 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the needs assessment and satisfaction level of family support services for preschoolers with disabilities. The subjects were 146 mothers and 138 teachers of 3- to 6-year- old preschool children with disabilities in integrated kindergartens in Daegu, Seoul, and Kyungnam. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, mothers needed information and financial support most. The level of the mother's needs was related to the type and degree of disabilities, child's sex, child's age, mother's educational level, and father's occupation. Second, the satisfaction level of mothers in the integrated kindergarten education programs was generally low. Third, mothers needed parental training of child's problem behavior, mother-child interactions program, and parental education of developing child's creativity.

  • One of the important components of this administrative reform is customer satisfaction. Every public enterprises introduced the Service Charter and Korean government took Customer satisfaction as the key index of public sector performance assessment. Most public enterprises introduced customer satisfaction management in an attempt to improve the quality of customer service. The government granted high incentives to excellent business innovative enterprises and developed additional indices, which are related to CS. From now on, every Korean enterprises must embody feasible customer satisfaction management and improve the quality of customer service In this research, we proposed a quality evaluation standard model which is suitable for the public enterprise based on the Service Quality Criteria, and examined the model. A 7-Point Likert Scale was used based on the five categories within the Service Quality: responsiveness, convenience, tangibility, sympathy and reliability, we analysed the validity and causal relationship among the factors within the model.

  • This study aims to analyze factors that affect satisfaction of students in employment-contract information technology master programs, and suggest policy implications to improve management of employment-contract master programs. A survey of students supported by Software master program of National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) and Knowledge Information Security master program of Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) indicates that department administration, department vision, scholarship, adviser, and lecturer affect satisfaction of students in employment-contract master programs in listed order.

The Effects of Service Quality on Customer Satisfaction in Case of Dissatisfied Customers

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of service quality on customer satisfaction in education service industry, focusing on the opinion of dissatisfied customers who have decided to switch the service provider. Additionally, in professional service industries such as law, hospital, and education, customers expect visible results which are often ignored in earlier service quality studies. Customer's comprehensive assessment of the professional service depends on both process quality experienced during service delivery and service result perceived after service delivery. The hypotheses on the causal relationships among service quality, customer satisfaction, intention to switch service provider, and service performance were tested by using Structural Equation Model.

  • The evaluation items to assess the consumer needs are thought to be varied depending on their age, education and income. It should be noted that consumer needs are getting too diversified to notice them in time due to the rapid economic, social and cultural development. It is, therefore, considered improper to try to assess the level of consumer satisfaction and correct consumer needs by employing one evaluation method for the vastly diversified consumer types. This research is going to conduct a written questionnaire survey to the apartment dwellers in order to identify like dweller groups according to their age, income and education. Then the scope of personal characteristics of each group will be identified and the importance assessment model will be developed. Then the items on the POE will be weighted according to the assessed importance. Finally a method of developing the customer satisfaction index will be produced to quantify how much the consumers are satisfied with the project.

An Implementation Study of Marriage Checkups in Family Centers (부부 결혼검진의 가족센터 실행에 따른 탐색적 성과연구)

  • This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Marriage Checkup (MC) in community settings. Participants (N=57) were recruited from family centers and participated in the MC, which consisted of assessment and feedback visits. Participants completed marital satisfaction assessments before and after the MC. Overall, the participants reported significant improvements in terms of marital satisfaction with a large effect size (d=0.87). Specifically, 77.2% of participants demonstrated an increase in marriage satisfaction. Among them, 30.6% experienced a clinically significant change (from a clinical state to a non-clinical state). The reliable change index (RCI) identified 15.8% of participants as showing reliable improvement. Changes in marital satisfaction were larger for men and participants who experienced more positive changes during the MC in terms of intimacy and understanding of how to improve their marital relationships. This study supports the MC as an evidence-based approach for improving relationship health in community settings.

Effects and class case of problem based learning in (PBL을 활용한 <패션의 이해> 수업 사례 및 학습효과)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop PBL programs for class, and to examine the effects of PBL. The 2 PBL experiencing the roles of "fashion editor" and "fashion stylist" were conducted in "Fashion & Social Culture" and "Fashion Design" parts. The objects were 29 students in Home Economics Education Department. The effects of PBL were observed through contents analysis to reflective journals. Also, self assessment and learning satisfaction were analyzed. The effectiveness of PBL presented in reflective journals were 'understanding of cooperative learning', 'related knowledge adaption', 'real experience', 'self-examination & changed self', 'problem solving ability'. Also students' self-assessment and learning satisfaction were very high in two PBL programs. However, they had difficulties in co-working and lack of time.

  • We have developed of a criterion that would help to select and develop performance assessments in science education. There are six categories of a criterion: Fidelity, satisfaction, content validity, fairness & suitability, reliability & objectivity, and usability. There are the total of 25 sub-categories under the six categories. Five science educators evaluated the validity of the criterion. For reliability of the criterion, Kendall's tau-b was used. Eight science educators and elementary teachers evaluated three performance assessment tasks for the correspondence of the criterion. This study also discuss the implications of this criterion as well.

Comparative Analysis of Course Satisfaction and Student Assessment Results in Redesigned Problem-Based Learning (문제기반학습 교육과정 개편에 따른 과정 만족도 및 학생평가 결과 비교 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to redesign a problem-based learning (PBL) curriculum and compare the differences between the previous and redesigned PBL based on the results of course satisfaction and student assessments. The PBL was redesigned using curriculum design guidelines (including revisions of curriculum objectives, learning components, learning environments, and assessment methods) that were developed based on previous studies and evaluation results. A comparative study was employed using course satisfaction surveys from the previous and redesigned curricula, and a total of 45 students participated. We also compared student assessment results from concept mapping, learning issue reports, modified essay questions, and reflection journals. We identified four key findings. First, we explored the possibility that the redesigned PBL could be implemented by student facilitators without professors as tutors. Second, the redesigned PBL fostered group dynamics that facilitated developing communication skills and collaborative learning through small-group discussions. Third, the new learning elements added in the redesigned PBL made a meaningful contribution to enhancing students' clinical reasoning based on hypothetico-deductive reasoning. Fourth, concept maps in redesigned PBL contained more complex and various nodes and connections, and the levels of the nodes were more appropriate. The implications of this study can provide meaningful preliminary information for redesigning PBL curricula for medical students to develop their essential competencies through PBL.

  • The purpose of this study were to examine the relationship among the planning implementing and satisfaction on home education and the soundness of home life. The samples were composed of 629 parents(home educators) selected by family life cycle and local distribution. Consequently the findings of this study were that planning have a significant effect on implementing on home education. Also implementing have a more significant effect on soundness of home life than satisfaction on home education.
