Multimedia service via satellite Is supported voice, data, Image and video signals. The representation case model of satellite multimedia are satellite TV. satellite Internet. In the early 1990s, satellite communication and broad casting services successfully expanded form C/Ku band to Ka band. The benefits of operation at Ka-band are greater bandwidth available to accommodate the increased demand for high-speed Information exchange. By the early years of the 21s1 century, millions of households worldwide with dual Ku / Ka-band dishes Satellite multimedia systems receive hundreds of TV channels, originating from around the world, and delivering entertainment, information and education. Many Ku-band satellites have been ordered, but few Ka-band systems are moving into production. So Ka-band systems are characterized that low-cost access to low and high peed, two-way voice, data, and video communications.

After analog broadcast changed to digital, the dynamic range of the broadcast audio became wider. As there are no regulation for digital broadcast audio level, the audio level of digital TV is gradually increasing, and this phenomenon is getting more serious. because of competition between broadcasters and programmes. To solve this problem, ITU-R legislated technical recommendations for digital TV audio level. In this paper, the audio levels of domestic TV channels are measured according to the algorithm of the ITU-R, and analyzed management method is suggested.

The Conditional Access System is a complete system for ensuring that broadcasting services be accessible to only those who are entitled to receive them. Secure key management and efficient delivery mechanism are very important design factors to this system. In this paper, we propose secure and efficient protocols which would be well fitted to a Pay TV system including the satellite DMB. Further. by applying our protocol to the existing conditional access system, we propose a new system that properly enables the control of conditional access to the Pay TV in satellite DMB environment.

The dynamic range of the loudness after digitalization of television broadcasting is enlarged, and the loudness difference between the broadcast channel and between the programs within the same channel is expanded. This was subjected to interfere with the television viewer's comfort. In order to improve these problems international standards for the loudness normalization was established in ITU, Europe, USA and Japan. This regulation was introduced to Korea also as technical regulation, and this will apply the broadcast service in June 2016. In this paper, ahead of the introduction of digital television technology based on loudness measurement for the major television channel and to present the results of the comparison of technical standard.

According to convert from analogue TV signal to Digital TV signal on 31 December 2012, research on utilization of TV white space (TVWS) has been being actively proceed. It is expected that various low power devices use the TVWS, so interference between DTV relay system and low power devices using in TVWS can be occurred. Therefore, in this paper, we analyzed the interference between DTV relay system and low power devices. So, we calculated a minimum coupling loss (MCL) and compare the resulting value with a path loss for determining whether there exists a potential interference or not. The minimum separation distance is determined when the path loss is larger than the MCL. In the simulation results, we setup the victim and interferer system as DTV relay system and low power devices, respectively.

Recently OTT video service has grown rapidly and has a negative impact on the growth of pay-TV subscribers. Consequently the substitution of OTT services for pay-TV services will begin. This study explores OTT usage patterns, dividing into three sectors (OTT service use, OTT usage volume, and paid-OTT service use), by considering users' demographice factors, smart device ownership, pay-TV subscription, and bundle service use, by employing the Mediapanel dataset. The results showed that age, income, smartTV usage, market size, cable/satellite subscribers, TV VOD expenses, movie VOD expenses, and mobile bundle use are associated with OTT service use. The results also showed that age, household sizes, tablePC usgage, cable/satellite subscribers, TV VOD expenses, other VOD expenses, and unlimited data plans are associated with OTT usage volume. Lastly the results showed that age, gender, income, tabletPC usage, cable subscribers, other VOD expenses, mobile bundle usage, and unlimited data plans are associated with paid-OTT service use.

All the while due to the adoption of different TV broadcasting standards by South and North Korea, difficulties may ensue when promoting media exchange or media liberalization. Among the many media areas this paper compared the ground-wave TV broadcasting and digital TV broadcasting environments of South and North Korea, and analyzed the rapidly developing field of digital TV broadcasting technology. Afterwards, this paper offers several measures to resolve the difference in the South and North broadcasting standards. Through this paper, there is hope for joint development of South and North TV broadcasting technologies.

The purpose of this study is to examine the progress of negotiations between the two countries regarding the implementation of AFKN's satellite broadcasting on October 4, 1983, as well as the opposition of domestic public opinion, which emerged as an important variable in the negotiation process. Through this, it was intended to lay the foundation for the historical facts necessary to interpret the negotiation process between the two countries over the implementation of AFKN's satellite broadcasting in the context of world history of cultural globalization. As a research method, the historical literature research method was used, focusing on archive documents stored in diplomatic archives. The study revealed that public opinion's movement toward cultural imperialism under domestic political conditions, which had authoritarian control over the media, served as an accidental factor to help carry out the regime's interests of regime protection. Through these findings, this paper interpreted that AFKN-TV's satellite broadcasting, which was implemented under the U.S. Department of Defense plan without the prior consent of the Korean government, clearly shows that Korea has been "semi-forced" into the U.S.-led cultural globalization order.

With the rapid development of digital technology, the satellite DMB service is able to provide chance to watch on TV, movie and listen on the Radio to their subscriber with moving. From the mid 2005, Korean people can get the satellite DMB service which includes In many kinds of new telecommunication services such as watching on tv, movie, and listening the music on service charge. The objective of this study is to grasp the factors which affecting the use satellite DMB service on the consumers who pay service charge, and to make an analysis on the structure relationship between such factors with consumer satisfaction and consumer royalty.
