  • This paper designs sigma-delta D/A Converter with a high resolution and low power consumption. It reorganizes the input data along LJ, RJ, I2S mode and bit mode to the output data of A/D converter. The D/A converter decodes the original analog signal through HBF, Hold and 5th CIFB(Cascaded Integrators with distributed Feedback as well as distributed input coupling) sigma-delta modulation blocks. It uses repeatedly the addition operation in instead of the multiply operation for the chip area and the performance. Also, the half band filters of similar architecture composed the one block and it used the sample-hold block instead of the sinc filter. We supposed simple D/A Converter decreased in area. The filters of the block analyzed using the matlab tool. The top block designed using the top-down method by verilog language. The designed block is fabricated using Samsung 0.35um CMOS standard cell library. The chip area is 1500*1500um.

  • Purpose: This study examines the impact of inclusive policies and green transformation on regional development of mining areas. Research design, data and methodology: We designed and utilized a structured questionnaire to collect data from a population of 300 individuals. The questionnaire was disseminated through Google Forms and consisted of five questions for each research variable. A total of 210 respondents completed the questionnaire, yielding a response rate of 70%. The sample was diverse in terms of gender and educational level Of the 210 respondents, 113 were female (53.8%) and 97 were male (46.2%). In terms of educational background, the sample was composed as follows: 13 individuals with a Doctorate degree (6.2%), 56 with a Master's degree (26.7%), 97 with a Bachelor's degree (46.2%), 22 with a Diploma (10.5%), and 22 with a High School education (10.5%). Results: The research outcomes highlight the significant influence of inclusive policies on driving the Distribution of green economic transformation. Emphasizing the pivotal role of inclusive distribution strategies, especially within the context of mining areas, the study sheds light on their crucial contribution to fostering regional development. Conclusion: These findings hold valuable implications for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and academics promoting environmentally conscious economic transformations.

  • This study aims to investigate the impact of financial distress on the cash holding of non-financial companies in Indonesia as the largest emerging economy among ASEAN countries. Furthermore, the sub-sample business group to be investigated were divided into two, groups namely affiliated and non-affiliated groups. This was carried out to ascertain the difference in the impact of financial distress on cash holding between both groups. Sample collection was based on all firms listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2008-2017, comprising 137 firms. The results showed that using the two-step system Generalized Method of Moments (GMM), the coefficients for financial distress (Z-Score) indices were positive and significant for all models. Therefore, the higher the Z-Score value, the lower the company's financial distress and vice versa. This implies that the lower the company's financial distress, the lower the cash holding. Furthermore, a positive and significant impact of the Z-Score on cash holding for non-affiliated groups was discovered. This implies that there are differences in the amount of cash holding between affiliated and non-affiliated groups. This result indicates that non-affiliated groups hold more cash during financial distress. However, these results had cash policy implications, particularly for non-affiliated groups.

  • This study conducted a step-wise discriminant analysis to determine which variables play key roles in distinguishing among 3 mutually exclusive delinquent groups - disclosed delinquency group, closed delinquency group, and no delinquency group - and to 'develop a procedure for predicting group membership for new cases whose group membership is undetermined. Variables included in this study were collected by the review of previous empirical studies, which were identified as related to juvenile delinquency. The variables can be classified as character-related variables, family-related variables, school-related variables, peer-related variables, and socioeconomic variables. A sample of 693 youths were employed to conduct the statistical analysis. Out of 35 possible predictors of juvenile delinquency 14 variables were included in the pool of predicting variables. This study used a hold-out sample (n=300) to test if the linear discriminant function classify cases correctly into one of 3 groups. The percentage of cases classified correctly by the discriminant function was turned out to be acceptable in the area of social sciences. Discussions and suggestions were provided in terms of prevention and intervention for juvenile delinquency with focus on the 14 predictor variables.

  • This paper describes the design and fabrication of a partial discharge(PD) analyzer to evaluate insulation performance for low-voltage electrical and electronic devices. The analyzer consists of an adjustable AC power supply, a coupling network, an amplifier, a shielding encloser, a sample-hold (S/H) circuit and a data acquisition (DAQ) board. The analyzer holds the height of PD pulse for $10{\mu}s$ by the S/H circuit, and this makes possible to measure PD pulses having fast rise and short duration by a low speed analog-to-digital (A/D) converter. The data are transmitted to the personal computer through the DAQ board, and the designed analysis program calculate apparent charges, discharge inception and extinction voltages.

  • In this paper, an analog-domain powr-reduction technique for a low-voltage CMOS operational amplifier and its application to clock-based VLSI systems are proposed. The proposed technique cuts off the bias current of the op amp during a half cycle of the clock in the sleeping mode and resumes the curent supply sequentially during the remaining cycle of the clock in the normal operating mode. The proposed sequential sbiasing technique reduces about 50% of the op amp power and improves the circuit performance through high phase margin and stable settling behavior of the output voltage. The power-reduction technique is applied to a sample-and-hold amplifier which is one of the critical circuit blocks used in the front-end stage of analog and/or digital integrated systems. The SHA was simulated and analyzed in a 0.8.mu.m n-well double-poly double-metal CMOS technology.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine empirically the short- and long-run determinants of entrepreneurial activity in a sample of 15 the Middle East and North African economies between 2006 and 2018. More specifically, four groups of determinants are considered in the analysis, namely economic, demographic, business environment, and institutional. Given the autoregressive feature of the entrepreneurial activity process, a dynamic panel data model is estimated using the system GMM estimator. Findings reveal that unemployment, trade openness, population density, and economic freedom are the main drivers of new business creation in the short-run, while the cost and number of procedures to start a new business negatively affect entrepreneurship. In the long-run, the same findings hold true. Moreover, education and political stability and the absence of violence/terrorism positively affect entrepreneurial activity. Policy recommendations are accordingly designed.

  • The lifting technique is a standard control procedure that is commonly applied to dual-rate systems, where a critical difficulty is that care must be taken so that the resulting equivalent system preserves the causality constraint between the control signal and the measured output. To overcome this difficulty, the most attractive result has been suggested by defining control time sequences as the union of sample and hold time sequences. However, the sacrifice of regular control period scheme results in some serious disadvantages; restrictions on the implementation to hardware and the corresponding inefficient control scheme. On the contrary, this paper proposes a novel dual-rate control technique, which redescribes the system as a control-rate-based system having regular control period and designs the controller, with no causality constraint, through Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) formulation.

  • Estimating the effects of price increase on a company's sales is important task faced by managers. If consumer has prior information on price increase or expects it, there would be stockpiling and subsequent drops in sales. In addition, consumer can suppress demand in the short run. These factors make the sales dynamic and unstable. In this paper we develop a time series model to evaluate the sales patterns with stockpiling and short-term suppression of demand and also propose a forecasting procedure. For estimation, we use panel data and extend the model to Bayesian hierarchical structure. By borrowing strength across cross-sectional units, this estimation scheme gives more robust and reasonable result than one from the individual estimation. Furthermore, the proposed scheme yields improved predictive power in the forecasting of hold-out sample periods.
