  • The purpose of this research is to show how to use the patternist's CAD system in order to make design patterns efficiantly. Using the PAD System Technologies company's PAD System Module, which is very officiant in designing patterns, the basic pattern or design pattern can be designed and applyed to the Sample Module, thus, then it could manufacture, retouch or choose a model, making it posible to go to the next level which is seam patterns for industrial use. By understanding the change of the design that is chosen through the design pattern making and Sample Module process', this study is presentated a plan on how to utilize the patternist's working adaption ability by the CAD system, and also considered the problems in using it. Ability of Design Confrontation of CAD System: 1) The result of an operation can be saved and retouched. On a saved list the patterns can be chosen and changed, thus, making it posible to complete a design very quickly. 2) When sewing every designed pattern in Sample Module, the model can be operated merely by selecting each sewing position, thus creating the same effect of a designer's muslin sample process in a much lesser time. Point at issue in the utilization CAD system: 1) When combining two darts into one place the amounts of darts that are already these have to be erasers, and then, the two darts points are moved that place, thus, containing them, which is very conplicated. 2) When making a gathering, because system can only be recognized in a opend line, the pattern should be separated in order to put a gathering inside a pattern. 3) In order to readjust the amounte of dart. The dart is erased first and then made new dart again. 4) When making tucks in a Sample Module, the form that gets narrow towards the pivot point can not be recognized so the sewing lines of the tucks is adjusted into parallel lines. 5) The Sample Module 3D operation can not attach the bodice to the shirts, instead they become fixed into each other. In the case of shoulder line tucks the amounts of pleats can not be expanded draperary naturally, thus, making it hard to showing the silhouette accurately. If these problems are solved, especially if the silhouette of a model can be created to have natural drapery in the 3D Module, models can be shown on the screen in possible to compare and examine even a change of a detail, by designing this 3D Module Production sample process will be more effective, thus, making the CAD system more useful in sewing design process.

  • National-wide and/or large scale sample surveys generally use complex sample design. Traditional Pearson chi-square test is not appropriate for the categorical complex sample data. Rao-Scott suggested an adjustment method for Pearson chi-square test, which uses the average of eigenvalues of design matrix of cell probabilities. This study is to compare the efficiency of Rao-Scott first order adjusted test to Wald test for homogeneity between two populations using 2009 Gyeongnam regional education offices's customer satisfaction survey (2009 GREOCSS) data. The 2009 GREOCSS data were collected based on stratified three-stage cluster sampling with probability proportional to size. The empirical results show that the Rao-Scott adjusted test statistic using only the variances of cell probabilities is very close to the Wald test statistic, which uses the covariance matrix of cell probabilities, under the 2009 GREOCSS data based. However it is necessary to be cautious to use the Rao-Scott first order adjusted test statistic in the place of Wald test because its efficiency is decreasing as the relative variance of eigenvalues of the design matrix of cell probabilities is increasing, specially more when the number of degrees of freedom is small.

  • For interlayer tunneling spectroscopy using a small stack of $Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_{8+x}$ (Bi-2212) intrinsic junctions in a high-bias range, large self-heating takes place due to the poor thermal conductivity of Bi-2212. In this study, we numerically estimate the self-heating around a Bi-2212 sample stack for I-V or dI/dV-V measurements. Our results show that the temperature discrepancy between the Bi-2212 sample stack and top Au electrodes due to bias-induced self-heating is small enough along the c-axis direction of Bi-2212. On the other hand, the lateral temperature discrepancy between the sample stack and the Bi-2212 on-chip thermometer stack can be as large as ${\sim}20\;K$ for the highest bias required to observe the pseudogap hump structure. We thus suggest a new in-situ ac thermometry, employing the Au current-bias electrode itself deposited on top of the sample stack as the resistive thermometer layer, which is supposed to allow safe temperature measurements for the interlayer tunneling spectroscopy.

  • This study look into a role change and geographical inertia of the central place. The place is selected and progressed as the center which is the joining of physical condition and social situation of the region. The central place is the role change according to social change but it has geographical inertia as the central place. The result is as follows. Firstly, the role of regional center is changed. This sample region is the center of a national defense and administration and traffic in Three-Country period. But the role of the national defense is disappeared with the unity of the three countries. A traffic center facility was lost because of traffic axis changed from the east-west line to the north-south line when Ko-Ryo period. A facility loss as a traffic center leads to diminish the administration function and the movement of the regional center within that area. Secondary. the new regional center function was maintained by the joining of an outside and inside peoples. It maintained the geographical inertia by Confucianism culture instead of administration function. Thirdly, it had geographical location movement within the area.

  • The purpose of this study was to predict the spatial housing demand of households in Seoul with the use of residential choice probabilitics. An multinomial legit model is developed using socio-demographic and housing characteristics. SAS package was utilized to estimate this model. This study used the data obtained by the Korea Rosearch Institute for Human Settlemente in 1989. The sample size was 3941 households in Seoul. The residential choice probability varicd depending upon the residential area, head age, head age, tenure and work place. The households with students were more likely to choose kangnam are. The households without young children had higher probability to choose new town near Seoul. Prime reason of this two results were considered the chi Id education and their better housing, Kangnam area was known to be the first consideration for residential choice regardless of work place. Low level of choice probability of kangman area for future residences however, was evidenced. Prime reason of such seemingly contradicting phenomenon is suspected for higher housing prices and limited affordability of people surveyed.

  • Background and Objectives : Despite of high prevalence, Tinnitus remains obscure because the cause and mechanism is poorly understood. In the absence of a suitable animal model, past investigations tool place in humans. Recently, the animal model with sodium salicylate ototoxicity is broadly used because of its reversibility. Balyangtongum-Tang had been used clinically to treat tinnitus and other hearing problems. We investigated the effects of Balyangtongum-Tang on cochlear morphologic change induced by sodium salicylate ototoxicity and were to find out its therapeutic effects on ototoxicity in rat model. Materials and Methods : Healthy ten Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into normal(2), control(4) and sample(4) groups. The sample group was given extract of Balyangtongum - Tang(1cc/100g) once a day for 4 days. After 3 hours when last medication were given, the sample and control groups were injected intraperitoneally with sodium salicylate(500mg/kg). We observed the cochlear morphologic changes of rats every 1, 2, 3 and 5 hours after injection. Results : The electron microscopic finding of outer hair cell shows some changes in the curticular plate and cytoplasm. Some vacuoles were found in the control and sample groups. Vacuolization in the curticular plate and cytoplasm of the sample group after 3, 5 hours were similar to the control group. But the curticular plate of the sample group after 1, 2 hours did not from vacuole. On the other hand the control group after 1, 2 hours formed vacuoles in the curticular plate. Light microscopic findings of cochlear duct in control and sample groups didn't find any difference. Conclusion : The results suggest that extract of Balyangtongum-Tang reduces the morphologic changes induced by sodium salicylate ototoxicity and the effects are remarkable in frist 2 hours. However the effective times are different with previous studies, it seems to due to the difference of tolerance and sensitivity of laboratory animals.

  • This study aims to examine the effect of housing characteristics of older adults on the willingness to continue living in local communities in order to realize the Aging in place of the elderly in Korea. Considering that the health status of the elderly is important for aging in place, both healthy and unhealthy cases were analyzed in the analyses. Housing characteristics include home ownership, housing cost burden, housing convenience, housing satisfaction, and residential environment satisfaction. The study sample is 9,798 elderly people from the 2017 survey on the elderly. Key findings are as follows: First, while 6,704 older adults (68.4%) chose to continue living in the community, 3,094 (31.6%) of the elderly did not choose to live in the local community. Second, the elderly who chose to stay in the local community are likely to have more real estate assets and less burden of housing expenses than the elderly group who did not. Third, the results report that older adults with more real estate assets and lower the housing cost burden are likely to choose sustainable living in the local community. The findings suggest that the majority of the elderly actually preferred Aging in place. This study concludes with practice and policy implications for realizing aging in place considering the elderly's needs.

  • The objective of this study was to compare dioxin contents in spinach, soil and air and to evaluate the relation of dioxin concentrations in crop and its cultural environment. Sample weighing for the precise peak detection in dioxin analysis was also determined. The fragmentogram of HpCDFs, and especially OCDF, indicated different pattern from that of TeCDD/F, PeCDD/Fs and HxCDDs/Fs, which showed the same pattern. In case of field culture spinach (wet sample 2 kg) in Japan, peak of OCDF could be detected clearly, while market spinach (wet sample 1 kg) showed the only baseline detection. The result makes it possible to suppose the fact that production place of market spinach was not contaminated with OCDF, but atmospheric pattern of production place was similar to that of open field sample. So we could decide that the sample of agricultural crops were needed more than 2 kg in wet weight for the evaluation of precise peak The total tendency of dioxin concentration levels in field culture spinach may be affected by OCDD and HCDF distributed in soil. However, on the whole the major factor seems to be the atmospheric deposition.
