It is a general tendency to digitalize the conventional relay based I&C systems in nuclear power plant. But, the digitalization of nuclear safety systems has many a difficulty to surmount. The typical on thing of many difficulties is the data communication problem between local controllers and systems. The network architecture built with LAN(Local Area Network) in digital systems of the other industries are general. But in case of nuclear safety systems many considerations in point of safety and license are required to implement it in the field. In this paper, some considerations for applying LAN in nuclear safety systems were reviewed.

This research analyzes blasting accident cause that is happening construction and engineering works spot taking advantage of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) techniques as metrical. Result that apply AHP with blasting accident that is happened the South Korea and Japan, appeared by thing which relative importance by human cause is highest. Specially, it is observance of safety rule that dominate the highest ratio among of human cause, and if observe a little, causes that prevention is possible are much. By result of this research, necessity of safety education is important first of all for prevention of blasting accident. Also, thorough safety control plan of during work and enough on-the-slut probe before work should be established. Because explosives uses gunpowder and explosive high energy, work by qualified person is essential. Ant it may become help to minimize dissipation of important life and property preventing beforehand explosion accident of gunpowder.

This study is aimed to design for qualification structure and develop the subjects for examination of the school safety manager qualifications. For the study purpose, job analysis and meetings with experts were performed for extract contents such as task range, criteria of examination, subjects of examination and examination methods, etc. The first step, duties and tasks of the school safety manager were figured out through revised job analysis data of the school safety manager developed before. On the second step, job model was established and developed job specification including importance, difficulty and frequency of each task. On the third step, task specification was developed, and Knowledge-Skill Matrix was the most important thing on examination were completed. The fourth step was the selection of examination subject using task-subject matrix and 6 subjects such as The Principles of Safety, Understanding of the School Safety Manual, Law Related on the School Safety, Introduction to Education, Understanding and Dealing with Type of the School Safety, Establishment of the School Safety Plan were derived from previous procedure. The fifth step was development of guidelines for design examination of each subject. The last step was development for skills education program.

Whenever a disaster occurs, people emphasizes that "Safety management is most important thing in the company". However, a situation of safety management is not changed dramatically after accidents in the past. Many small-and-medium sized industries neglect the importance of safety management. Current situation can be easily figured out when looks up an occurrence rate of accident, accident frequency rate and intensity rate. This paper investigated what workers of hotel-related industries think of a safety and types of accidents, effect of a safety education. On-site-survey was conducted for actual workers in four deluxe hotels and one condominium. 207 persons out of 400 people were replied. Statistical analysis was performed with SAS package about their reply. In injured type, cut from knife was most frequent. Main cause of accident was a unsafe posture and a unsafe behavior, so more safety education for these workers are necessary. In a physical pain which related with job, chronical pain was most dominant. As a result, a safety education has a high correlation with an experience of injured and treatment of safety, Cooking department has highest occurrence of accident than any other departments. Workers with an experience of five to ten years have most lowest treatment of safety, aid of safety education, safety feeling of their working environment, so peer attention must be put on these people to reduce accidents.accidents.

Subway platform is divided into Side-platform type and Center-platform type. In this study does quantitative fire risk assesment of subway platform types in numerical analysis by using CFD model. From the result of this study, 1) All exhaust mode was low-end result it seems most fire risk at Side-platform station. 2) All exhaust mode was low-end result it seems most fire risk at Center-Platform station. 3) When comparing same type exhaust mode of Side-platform and Center-platform that last thing was visible $9.1{\sim}72.34%$ low-end fire risk. Center-platform is more opera-tive than Side-platform that reduce fire risk when that was same dimension and external environment. Designer look upon a fire characteristic of subway platform types when he make smoke control air volume and platform area design.

What is not construing in this study, do safety in a semiconductor industry to do improvement. Control human error analyzes in human control with and considers mechanical element and several elements. Also, apply achievement factor using O'conner Model by control method of human error. In analyze by failure mode effect using actuality example.

As a public transportation possible to convey a large quantity, the railway is safe and keeps time, but it has hazards to cause a disaster if the accidents such as collision, derailment, and fire occur. So advanced countries carry out System Safety Plan with various program activities which have connected orders to maintain or improve safety level by finding hazards, evaluation, taking measures and practice, and improving problems. Especially they systematically manage hazards to cause railway accidents and the factors which possibly threat safety, using national classification of risk and causes with analysis of the related data such as establishing accident/incident data and safety regulations/standards. As executing railway safety regulations, domestic railway is currently trying to improve railway safety management system. The research of classification system of accidents/incidents is one thing to make railway safety management systems better. In this research, we reviewed hazardous factors of railway systems and classification of the causes as the beginning of system safety management, and we conducted study on development of railway accident classification based on findings of this research. The results are able to be used in identifying hazards and activities of systemic safety management at the step of railway accident report and investigation.

As the scale of building construction is larger and more complex and the adaptation of new technology is increasing, the tendency of the risk serious accident cases is increasing now. Especially, the accident rate is below 10% at the building construction workers in Korea but among the total industrial accidents it exceeded by 35%. To prevent a construction accident, it is essential that not only to have a through grasp of the characteristic of safety problem but also to establish of efficient safety counter plan are required. According to the type and situation of building construction, the acquirement of necessary information is useful to prevent the hazard of work and establish the counter plan. Among the safety information it is a thing of especial importance that to estimate the hazard of work types for building construction to prepare the counter plan of safety. This study will analyze all of the1600 accidents of the building construction works from the data of KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety &Health Agency) which were collected during 11 years(1992~2002) data relating to serious accidents of the building construction works, and suggest the counter plan according to the each work type in building construction works.

Increasing elevator system every year that is directly connected passenger's safety and connected peculiarity Reliability of each variety equipment that is composing elevator is linked with passenger's safely, and prevent accident is important. Malfunction by electric part of elevator system that is composing elevator is not easy to examine closely the cause. Estimation about malfunction of component by electric power quality must consist among them. In this paper, inspect elevator accident figure to examine effect that electric power quality gets on elevator that see and presented thing for research direction and necessity of electric safety consideration by such electric malfunction.

This study focused on the review of the korean fire investigation system and will provide the means for having the legal investigation right. The most important thing is to give fire department a perfect legal investigation right on fire including police areas(seeking and examining the case at first stage). And it should be stated in criminal law. With the joint effort between Fire department and Police department, we can develop the reformation, enlightening programs for the arsons or fire related criminals. Through this, it systematically have to be good for fire prevention and can be helpful to enhancing professionalism of fire examination.
