  • In past projects, the main goal has been to enhance efficiency by reducing cost and time. However, considering the current condition of safety management in many construction companies, it can be confirmed that safety management has not been a top priority for a long time. Current safety management, which is based on safety standards and rules, is very ineffective and only emphasizes management after an incident. As well, although fewer accidents occur compared to the past, because construction projects are increasingly large in scale and complex, these accidents tend to be more serious and involve greater monetary loss. Furthermore, as the severity of these accidents increases, so does the possibility of fatalities. Therefore, improving safety management is essential. This study proposes an effective program for safety management, focusing on the processes to connect studies and systems, and the basic techniques required for program development. To realize this program, technical tools are suggested, including systems such as BIM (Building Information Modeling); additionally, the coordination of other systems such as an RTLS, a server, and an alarm system is proposed.

  • TPM(Total Productive Management) that is enforcing introducing more than $80\%$ in domestic manufacturing industry is using total plant efficiency by the evaluation index, and as a result, can see a lot of examples that plant productivity is increased. This study's purpose centers total productive management activities that is management system for total plant efficiency's maximization, plant information system that total productive management activities factor that is enforcing in manufacturing industry can develop evaluation model that can evaluate qualitative activities by quantitative activities in process that maximize total plant efficiency wishes to do design.

건설업의 안전경영시스템 모델개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Safety Management System Model in the Construction Industry)

  • The government has done much investment and its efforts to prevent the accident in the construction industry owing to the high rate of accident and the dangerous factors, but it is not improved the level of safety activities as desired. On the contrast, after adopted quality management system and environment management system in the advanced countries, they are developing the safety management system consequently and achieving high efficiency in this field. Although Korea executed the KISCO 2000 program by Korea Industrial Safety Corporation since July 1, 1999, it was excepted to the construction industry. Therefore, it is urgent matter to be developed the safety management system being applied to the construction industry. In this study, it was developed the safety management system in the construction industry, and suggested its documentation and an executive method according to the construction safety works.

DEA 분석을 통한 프랜차이즈 기업의 평가 (An Assessing of Franchisor's Firm Performance Based on Data Envelopment Analysis)

  • Due to the severe market conditions, pre-entrepreneur seeks to start their business through franchise company. This paper, using the data envelopment analysis(DEA) method, examines efficiency of a group of franchise company in order to provide efficiency information with pre-entrepreneur. Output-oriented DEA model is applied in the investigation of efficiency, and the overall efficiency score is decomposed into pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency. The input variables selected to evaluate the efficiency are franchise deposit, franchise contribution cost and the output variables are sales and number of franchises, and length of business. The results of this paper show franchise industry have the low level of overall efficiency and the main sources of inefficiency is found technical rather than scale. As a result, this paper provides not only the current status of efficiency information of a franchise with pre-entrepreneur but also give warning when they sign-up with franchise business.

  • In January, 2005, the "Railroad Safety Act" was presented, preparing the systematic equipment that allows several railroad operators to consider the railroad safety issue, and each of the railroad operative institutions accepted such situation that the construction of the emergent system of coping, resulting in the construction of the emergent system of coping with the railroad fire accident through the relevant study to improve the railroad security efficiency against fire. This study tried to present the on developing the emergent educational program for coping with the KTX fire accident, which is distributed to the spot, to the railroad emergency staff for improving the railroad security efficiency against fire through the education of systematic and efficient emergent countermeasure procedures against fire accidents the fire accident in KTX.

  • In construction work, safety accidents often occur in combination with unstable physical and human conditions during preparation and execution of work. In Korea, the accident rate is higher to that of any country in the world. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures by fundamental prescription. In this paper, in the case of construction safety management, we tried to find a reasonable alternative through a questionnaire survey to apply to subcontracting and small-scale construction. In conclusion, workers who are well aware of the task could be able to reduce the accident rate by deploying them as safety management officers after receiving the training.

  • The objective of this paper is to study the establishing system of truck collaboration and to reduce traffic cost for participating transportation enterprises. The system of truck collaboration can enhance the transport efficiency and to reduce traffic cost without new investment for trucks and equipments. The type of truck collaboration should be enumerated (1) the system of head and branch base (2) the system of central terminal (3) the system of separating collection and delivery for cargo (4) the system of cooperating cargo order and truck allocation. The efficiency of truck collaboration is possible to be realized for transportation enterprises, receiver and sender of cargo.

건설 안전관리 개념적 틀 및 정보이양 효율성 분석 (Safety Management Framework for Information Handover Effectiveness in the Construction Industry)

  • 건설산업에서 안전관리가 오랫동안 중요한 화제중의 하나로 대두되고 있으며 수많은 노력에도 불구하고 여전히 타 산업에 비해 높은 재해율을 보이고 있다. 이와 관련되어 많은 연구들이 진행되었으며, 대부분 시공자 또는 시공단계를 중심으로 진행되었다. 그러나 사업초기단계가 건설안전에 미치는 영향이 가장 높고 발주자 등 사업초기단계의 의사결정자들이 중요한 작용을 함에도 불구하고, 아직까지 건설사업 생애주기를 포괄하는 안전관리체계가 미흡한 실정이다. 게다가 건설사업에서 방대한 정보가 생성되지만, 이러한 정보들은 각 생애주기를 거듭할수록 정보들의 가치가 증가하는 반면에 비효율적인 측면을 보이고 있다. 이는 참여자들 간의 부족한 정보 공유 및 전달과 미흡한 표준으로 인한 것으로 판단되며, 이는 또한 정보가치들의 손실을 야기한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 건설산업 측면에서 안전관리 정보이양의 효율성을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하며, 이를 위해 우선적으로 건설안전 정보를 체계적이고 효율적으로 관리 및 활용하기 위한 안전관리 Framework을 '안전관리 업무기능', '건설사업 생애주기', '산업위계'를 포괄하여 제안하고, '안전관리 업무기능'을 계층적 구조로 5개의 대분류, 13개의 중분류, 32개의 소분류로 세분화함으로써 Framework을 구체화하였다. 다음으로, 안전정보이양의 효율성을 분석하기 위해 '업무기능의 중요도'와 '정보이양의 효율성'을 평가지표로 설정하고 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 평가를 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 건설산업에서 안전관리를 보다 체계적이고 효율적으로 구현하는 기반을 마련하고 나아가 안전관리 역량을 강화하기 위한 기초자료로의 활용을 기대한다.

  • If examining utilization by completion of National Competency Standards development, efforts are made so as to organize curriculum matched to education or training and perform subjects based on competence unit educationally in specialized high schools, colleges and university. However, National Competency Standards is insignificantly utilized in enterprises and on the spot due to characteristics of occupation type and diversity of process. This thesis intended to measures of safety efficiency improvement of final enterprise through the human resources assessment system of National Competency Standards based enterprise. Therefore, various methodologies were introduced and results of analysis by Balanced ScoreCard method were suggested for policy measures improving final safety efficiency. The results of this analysis are expected to make contribution to improving the effectiveness of the government's industrial safety and health policies through the establishment of systematic safety and health systems according to the risk level of individual business.
