신뢰도 기준에 근거한 도로설계 대안에 대한 교통안전성 평가 (Evaluation of Highway Design Alternatives Based on Reliability Criterion for Traffic Safety)

  • It has been well known that traffic accidents occur under combined functional contributions of drivers, vehicles and road facilities, and that evaluation of safety levels for a specific road section or point is generally much complicated. Additionally, most of traffic accidents occur randomly implicating it is necessary to be evaluated in terms of probability theory. Thus, the evaluation model which reflects various characteristics and probabilistic distributions of traffic accidents has been necessary. The present paper provides a reliability based model with variables of probabilistic operating speeds and design speeds together which have been individually explaining associated characteristics in traffic accidents. Consequently, the model made it possible for speed management and road improvement projects to be evaluated in a common index. Application studies were performed in three cases. Through the studies, couples of facts were identified that the model successfully considered the probabilistic operating speeds and design speeds together and that then, the model evaluated road safety alternatives relatively which are complicatedly characterized and differently located.

Dynamic evaluation of water source safety based on fuzzy extension model

  • The information matter-element system was built to assess safety of water source. Based on the thought of multiindex fusion, fuzzy matter-element model evaluating water source behavior was constructed by matter-element transform. This model can process comprehensively hydrogeological data, ecological environment, water pollution, surface disturbance, and so on. Water source safety behavior can be described by the qualitative and quantitative manners. According to the development trend of quantitative results, water source safety behavior can be expressed dynamically. As an example, the proposed method was used to assess safety status of 7 water sources in the region. The numerical example shows that the proposed method is feasible and effective, and the evaluation results are reasonable.

샐러드용 신선 채소에서의 Listerio monocytogenes 성장예측모델 개발 (Development of a Predictive Model Describing the Growth of Listeria Monocytogenes in Fresh Cut Vegetable)

  • 본 연구에서는 식중독 예방과 식품의 안전성 확보 및 정량적 미생물 위해평가에 활용하기위하여, Gompertz model과 Baranyi model을 이용하여 샐러드용 신선채소에서 L. monocytogenes의 SGR에 관한 성징예측모델(SGR by Gompertz equation=-0.1606+$0.0574^*Temp$+$0.0009^*Temp^*Temp$, SGR by Baranyi equation=0.3502-$0.0496^*Temp$+$0.0022^*Temp^*Temp$)을 개발하였다. 개발된 모델의 적합성 평가를 위해 MSE, Bf, 및 Af factor를 산출하였다. 샐러드용 신선 채소의 MSE, Bf, Af는 Gompertz model식을 적용한 경우 0.002718, 1.050084, 1.160767, Baranyi model 식을 적용한 경우 0.055186, 1.931472, 2.137181으로 나타나 Gompertz model식을 적용하여 개발한 예측모델이 Baranyi model 식을 이용하여 개발한 예측모델에 비해 적합성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. Gompertz model식을 활용하여 본 연구에서 개발된 샐러드용 신선 채소에서의 L. monocytogenes 성장 예측모델은 신선 채소류를 생산, 가공, 보관 및 판매하는 산업체에서 널리 활용 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 더욱 정확한 예측모델 개발을 위해서는 pH 및 수분활성도 등 다양한 변수에 따른 미생물의 성장패턴 변화 등에 관한 연구가 추가적으로 시행되어야 할 것으로 생각되어 진다.

스마트안전 리빙랩 환경에서의 사용자경험 평가를 위한 방법론 개발 (Development of a User Experience Evaluation Methodology for Smart Safety Living Lab)

  • Purpose: Smart Safety Living Lab is a Living Lab facility, constructed and operated by KITECH in Korea, to support the user experience(UX) evaluation, planning and certification of smart safety products and services. The purpose of this study is to develop a UX evaluation methodology that accommodates the characteristics of the Living Lab and smart safety products and services for a systematic and efficient UX evaluation in the Smart Safety Living Lab. Methods: A generic model of UX evaluation was first derived based on a review of related literature. Then, the generic model is revised to accommodate the characteristics of the Smart Safety Living Lab and smart safety products and services, resulting in the UX Evaluation Methodology for Smart Safety Living Lab (SSLL-UXEM). Results: The developed SSLL-UXEM consists of a structured process for UX evaluation, a guideline for conducting each step of the process, and a set of forms for recording the major evaluation results in each step. Conclusion: SSLL-UXEM can help to enhance the efficiency of the UX evaluation process and the consistency of the UX evaluation results. SSLL-UXEM is also expected to serve as a basis for UX evaluation in various living lab environments in the future.

식육추출가공품 중 갈비탕에서의 Staphylococcus aureus 성장예측모델 개발 (Development of a predictive model describing the growth of Staphylococcus aureus in processed meat product galbitang)

  • 본 연구는 축산물에 대하여 쉽게 오염될 수 있는 S. aureus에 대해 축산제품에 속하는 식육추출가공품 중 갈비탕에 대해 식중독 예방과 식품의 안전성을 확보하기 위하여 Baranyi model을 이용하여 성장 예측모델을 개발하였다. DMFit 프로그램을 이용하여 S. aureus의 유도기(LPD)와 최대성장률(${\mu}_{max}$, maximum specific growth rate)을 산출하였다. S. aureus의 성장곡선은 4, 10, 20, $37^{\circ}C$의 보관 온도에서 측정하였다. Baranyi model의 LPD의 값은 4, 10, 20, $37^{\circ}C$의 저장 온도에서 각각 256.04, 152.60, 5.41, 3.78 h으로 온도에 반비례 한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 ${\mu}_{max}$의 값은 4, 10, 20, $37^{\circ}C$의 저장 온도에서 각각 0.003, 0.007, 0.258, $0.528logCFU/g{\cdot}h$으로 온도에 비례 한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 일차식의 적합성을 나타내는 $R^2$ 값은 모두 0.9 이상으로 나타나 실험값과 예측값의 상관관계가 높은 것을 알 수 있었다. RMSE 값은 0.39로 비교적 0에 근접하게 나타난 것을 볼 수 있으며 개발된 예측모델의 적합성이 높다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 개발된 모델을 이용할 경우 식육추출가공품 중 갈비탕의 다양한 생산 환경과 온도에 따라 S. aureus의 성장을 예측할 수 있을 것이라고 사료된다. 갈비탕을 생산, 보관 및 판매하는 산업체에서 널리 활용할 수 있을 것이라고 생각되며 이를 위해평가에서 또한 충분히 활용가능 할 것이라고 생각되어진다.

안전 요구사항의 추적성 구현을 통한 시험/평가 계획서의 효율적 개발 (On an Efficient Development of the Test & Evaluation Plan through the insured Traceability of the Safety Requirements)

  • It is well known that the test and evaluation plan (TEP) is very crucial in the successful development of safety-critical systems. As such, this paper discusses an approach to the development of the TEP for a system that should meet safety requirements in the systems development process. It is studied how to incorporate the result of preliminary hazard analysis (PHA) in generating the safety requirements. It is also discussed how to deal with them when the system requirements (i.e., functions, performance, constraints, components, etc) and the safety requirements are integrated into one model. While doing so, we have constructed the required traceability among them, which is necessary and very useful when the safety requirements need to be corrected or be changed. The use of the traceability makes it possible to easily check out whether and how the safety requirements are properly incorporated in the system design process. Furthermore, without the verified traceability, the system cannot be changed or upgraded later. In order to implement the model on a computer-aided tool, we have constructed a database (DB) schema. As a result, the implemented model/DB allows to automatically generate TEP which can be used to measure the performance and safety level of the developed system.

원전 안전필수 계측제어시스템의 주기적 자동고장검출기능에 따른 고장허용 평가모델 (The Fault Tolerant Evaluation Model due to the Periodic Automatic Fault Detection Function of the Safety-critical I&C Systems in the Nuclear Power Plants)

  • This study suggests a generalized availability and safety evaluation model to evaluate the influences to the system's fault tolerant capabilities depending on automatic fault detection function such as the automatic periodic testings. The conventional evaluation model of automatic fault detection function deals only with the self diagnostics, and supposes that the fault detection coverage of self diagnostics is always constant. But all of the fault detection methods could be degraded. For example, the periodic surveillance test has the potential human errors or test equipment errors, the self diagnostics has the potential degradation of built-in logics, and the automatic periodic testing has the potential degradation of automatic test facilities. The suggested evaluation models have incorporated the loss or erroneous behaviors of the automatic fault detection methods. The availability and the safety of each module of the safety grade platform have been evaluated as they were applied the automatic periodic test methodology and the fault tolerant evaluation models. The availability and safety of the safety grade platform were improved when applied the automatic periodic testing. Especially the fault tolerant capability of the processor module with a weak self-diagnostics and the process parameter input modules were dramatically improved compared to the conventional cases. In addition, as a result of the safety evaluation of the digital reactor protection system, the system safety of the digital parts was improved about 4 times compared to the conventional cases.

In this paper the author aims to develope a navigational safety evaluation system in rough sea by analysis and the theory of evaluating the seakeeping performance The author suggests a computer model of navigational safety evaluation system and examined the validity of the model by computer simulation.

수량화II류이론을 활용한 상수도관로의 안전성 평가 모델 개발 및 적용성 평가 연구 (A Study on the Development and Applicative Estimation of Safety Evaluation Model for Water Supply Pipelines using Quantification Theory Type II)

  • Owing to time and cost constraints, new methods that would make it possible to evaluate the safety of the water supply pipeline in a less time- and cost-consuming manner are urgently needed. In response to this exigency, the present study developed a new statistical model to assess the safety of the water supply pipeline using the quantification theory type II. In this research, the safety of the water supply pipeline was defined as 'a possibility of the pipeline failure'. Quantification analysis was conducted on the qualitative data, such as pipe material, coating, and buried condition. The results of analyses demonstrate that the hit ratio of the quantification function amounted to 77.8% of hit ratio, which was a fair value. In addition, all variables that were included in the quantification function were logically valid and demonstrated statistically significant. According to the results derived from the application of the safety evaluation model, the coefficient of determination ($R^2$) between K-region's water supply pipeline safety and the safety inspection amounted to 0.80. Therefore, these findings provide meaningful insight for the measured values in real applications of the model. The results of the present study can also be meaningfully used in further research on safety evaluation of pipelines, establishing of renewal prioritization, as well as asset management planning of the water supply infrastructure.

  • Accurately evaluating and predicting the performance of facilities is a key task in establishing a maintenance strategy for facilities. The importance of performance evaluation is becoming more pronounced, especially when the aging of facilities requires a huge budget. In this study, performance assessment models were developed for road and railway tunnels. Delphi analysis was performed to identify sub-elements necessary to evaluate the performance of a tunnel. The relative importance of the evaluation factors was derived from the AHP analysis. The correlation analysis was performed between each assessment factor and the final result to verify the significance of the model. For the correlation analysis, the survey data measured through precision safety diagnosis in tunnels in use was applied. The cost effectiveness analysis was also conducted according to the scenarios with different composition of performance factors in order to improve the practical applicability of the evaluation model developed in this study.
