According to the World Competitiveness Yearbook(WCY), competitiveness of nations looks how nations create and maintain an environment which sustains the competitiveness of its enterprises. To develop economics and join the ranks of the advanced countries in the global market, Korea needs to consider the national competitiveness. Consequently, in this study, first, we try to know a concept of national competitiveness. Second, we also investigate models of national competitiveness. Finally, we suggest an improvement strategy, which is based on models, as compared with many countries of Europe.

Recently, International Standardization is an important issue in competitive world market because of integration of standard, liberalization of international trade and globalization. Consequently, Korean companies need a strategy about corresponding to market circumstance and global standard. In this study, we examine Intellectual Property, Patent and Antitrust Law which are related to standardization. This study suggests company strategy and system integration model to dispose the global standard.

This paper proposes service layout strategy considering service characteristics by the use of benchmarking production system such as layout by P-Q chart, improvement tool, automated system, Toyota production system and lean production system. Biosafety has become quite sensitive issues according to dramatic development of biotechnology and LMO(Living Modifying Organism) is one of the key issue in biosafety. This study is an exploratory research for investigating the activation strategy of biosafety training management in LMO research field. Based on the survey data, main results are derived through various statistical analysis methodology such as descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, analysis of variance and regression analysis. According to the analysis results, some activation strategies are required to reach the target such as extension of specialized biosafety training program, enhancement of safety consciousness from the undergraduate courses, introduction of appropriate safety regulations, unification of safety management and establishment of safety management system.

In this study, the influence of the life style on the HMR purchasing behaviors and repurchasing intents and the purchasing behavior on the repurchasing intent were examined in order to provide the basic data for developing competitive HMR product and invigoration of marketing. As results, of the life style factors, the health affected the quality, the taste the convenience and safety, and the economy the convenience, and the convenience the quality, and the safety the safety, significantly. Of the life style factors, health affected the repurchasing intentions negatively, while taste affected the repurchasing intent positively. Of the HMR selection properties, quality, convenience, and safety all affected the repurchasing intent positively. It can be conducted from the study that it is necessary to develop a strategy to enhance the quality and safety of the HMR and enhance the taste and economy of the HMR products for the taste and economy-oriented customers. When developing a new HMR product, the development and formulation of the strategy for quality, convenience, and safety and the overall strategy that covers from production, logistics, sales, and promotion, are supposed to be well established and discussed.

In the era of digital technology, display device is the one of the important interface tool to communicate and transmit the information. Among the various display devices, CRT is the most popular one. Even though the CRT has many advantages comparing to other devices, it is faced to overcome its a few disadvantages especially in volume, shape and price, etc, In this paper, we try to show the development strategy of CRT corresponding with flat displays in the view point of ergonomics.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate safety consciousness (SC), cognitive-behavioral strategy (CBS), and safety behavior (SB) among university students living in dormitories on campus. Methods: The data was analyzed to compare the safety behavior by sex, safety related factors, and safety consciousness index in the SPSS 23 program using Chi-square test, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: The participants in the health and safety behaviors survey were 2,721 students who have been in dormitories on campus. On the mean of items, the Public Safety Consciousness Index (PSCI) was 93.1, SC was 26.9, CBS was 15.7, and SB was 50.4. It were significant correlations between SC, CBS, and SB among university students (r=0.74-0.78), and CBS was identified as the mediator. Finally, it was significant increase the SC, CBS, and SB by sex and participation on safety education, but decrease by age and experience of accident and disaster. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop safety education program enhancing safety consciousness and safety behavior in order to prevent accidents on campus. And it suggests that safety education should be included in regular curriculum of university to improve health status and achieve academic goals.

The growth and survival of a enterprise depend upon its proper strategic capability against the rapid change in environment. The enterprise that well accommodates the changing environment and properly uses the resources will continue its growth. The problems in accommodating business environment are how to focus the limited manufacturing strategy on certain point. The manufacturing innovation program receives a large effect in the manufacturing strategy. Consequently it follows the degree with manufacturing innovation program agrees with the manufacturing strategy determine the maximization of the manufacturing and management performance.

Planning and control for safety management executed by the head office is one of the most important parts for improving safety level of construction company. So this study is initiated with the purpose of suggesting an improvement strategy to perform effective and rational safety management at the head office. In order to investigate the current status of safety management of large construction firms in the Korean construction industry, the safety criteria related to the head office which are used in the Supermerit Certification System were chosen and examined by industry expert. The selected criteria are used for mail questionnaire. The survey was performed for 79 construction firms. Based on the 3-year average accident rate of 79 firms(1.20), the safety level of firms are classified. The safety improvement strategies for the below and the above are proposed respectively.
