충청북도지역 학교급식의 위생교육 운영현황 및 조리종사원의 실천수준 평가 (A Study on the Perception and Practice of Sanitation Training Program at School Foodservice Operations in Chungbuk Province)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the perception level about food safety of school foodservice dietitians and employees and to assess their food hygiene practice level in school foodservice operation in Chungbuk Province. A questionnaire survey of 250 dietitians and 744 employees at school food service operations was conducted and 143 and 421 respective responses were available for this study. The collected data were analyzed using SAS V8.2 for windows. The main results of this study can be summarized as follows: 98.60% of respondent school foodservice dietitians operated sanitation training programs one time or more per month. As for the reason why the program was not performed at frequent intervals, the majority of the dietitians and employees attributed it to the conventional practices. The employees' perception level of importance about sanitary training program was marked at 4.31(out of 5 scale). The employees' performance level of sanitary training program was ranked above 4.0 point(out of 5 scale) in the 26 items out of the total of 29 items. The results indicated that there was positive correlation between perception level and performance level of sanitation training program. The findings suggest that continuing sanitary education is important to ensuring food safety at school foodservice operations.

Safe clinical photography: best practice guidelines for risk management and mitigation

  • Clinical photography is an essential component of patient care in plastic surgery. The use of unsecured smartphone cameras, digital cameras, social media, instant messaging, and commercially available cloud-based storage devices threatens patients' data safety. This paper Identifies potential risks of clinical photography and heightens awareness of safe clinical photography. Specifically, we evaluated existing risk-mitigation strategies globally, comparing them to industry standards in similar settings, and formulated a framework for developing a risk-mitigation plan for avoiding data breaches by identifying the safest methods of picture taking, transfer to storage, retrieval, and use, both within and outside the organization. Since threats evolve constantly, the framework must evolve too. Based on a literature search of both PubMed and the web (via Google) with key phrases and child terms (for PubMed), the risks and consequences of data breaches in individual processes in clinical photography are identified. Current clinical-photography practices are described. Lastly, we evaluate current risk mitigation strategies for clinical photography by examining guidelines from professional organizations, governmental agencies, and non-healthcare industries. Combining lessons learned from the steps above into a comprehensive framework that could contribute to national/international guidelines on safe clinical photography, we provide recommendations for best practice guidelines. It is imperative that best practice guidelines for the simple, safe, and secure capture, transfer, storage, and retrieval of clinical photographs be co-developed through cooperative efforts between providers, hospital administrators, clinical informaticians, IT governance structures, and national professional organizations. This would significantly safeguard patient data security and provide the privacy that patients deserve and expect.

  • This study was designed to evaluate current level of school health practice in Chonbuk province and to analyze the relationship between school health practice and variables. All the subjects in this study were 140 schools themselves in Chonbuk province. Survey data was collected through the interviewed checklists from the widly accepted school health responsibilities of administration and practice and the direct observation by the interviewer. It was conducted from 1st of Nov. to 17 th of Dec, 1988. The major findings of this study are as follows: A. Level of school health practice was relatively low in score (Mean=64.5). $\cdot$ Healthful School Living -76.14 $\cdot$ School Health Service -71.29 $\cdot$ School Health Instruction -47.98 B.   • The purpose of our study was to examine the effects of dietitians' sanitation training performance on the sanitation knowledge and management practice level of culinary employees. We developed a questionnaire to measure the sanitation knowledge and management practice level of culinary employees and the sanitation training performance of dietitians. The questionnaire was completed by 53 dietitians and 337 culinary employees working in food service in the Chungbuk Province. We found that the sanitation training performance of dietitians had a significant positive affect on the sanitation knowledge and management practice level of culinary employees. There was also a correlation between sanitation knowledge and the management practice level of culinary employees. We conclude that sanitation training performance by dietitians is an effective method of improving the sanitation knowledge and management practice level of culinary employees. Thus, we suggest strengthening the sanitation training programs given by dietitians to improve food hygiene and safety in the foodservice industry.

간호대학생을 위한 임상수행 자기효능감 척도 개발 및 타당도, 신뢰도 검증 (Development and psychometric evaluation of Clinical Practice Self-Efficacy Scale for nursing students)

  • Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the importance of nurses' clinical performance, and accordingly, nursing educators have emphasized students' clinical practice and performance. This study developed a Clinical Practice Self-Efficacy Scale for nursing students and examined its psychometric properties. Methods: The authors reviewed instruments for selecting items for the scale in the areas of clinical skills, communication, infection control, safety, and nursing process. After preliminary items were selected, ten experts consisting of nursing professors and clinical nurses reviewed the items considering Korean clinical and educational situations. The data for the psychometric evaluation was collected from 257 nursing students in their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years and then analyzed. Results: The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the goodness of fit of this scale with five factors represented by 40 items was appropriate. The significant positive correlations with general self-efficacy indicated sound construct validity. The senior nursing students showed higher scores than others, as we expected. Cronbach's alpha was .94. Conclusion: The Clinical Practice Self-Efficacy Scale is appropriate for measuring Korean nursing students' self-efficacy of clinical practice. It is expected to act as a good tool to measure the effects of clinical practice education.

  • According to Department of labor guideline "2012-104 (2012.9.26.)" This study is to suggest the basic information and the improvement for the application of risk assessment on a construction site by group interview & survey of construction worker who is the practice of the subject and then numerical analysis about awareness and action plan of Safety and health. The result of group interview and survey of construction worker, most of construction worker feel the danger during the work. Then construction worker analysis results that risk assessment helps to change & raise awareness of safety and reduce an industrial disaster. Easy Safety management activity such as TBM & safety education active will be necessary for safe worksite and then I suggest the TBT(tool box talk) active which combines TBM & safety education.

  • The present paper reviews the notion and comparison of the Korea Food and Drug Administration(KFDA) general pharmacology and the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) safety pharmacology. General pharmacology or safety pharmacology is termed the study to determine the potential of a compound to induce adverse pharmacological effects. KFDA general pharmacology studies have been considered an important component in drug safety assessment and these were originally referred to those designed to examine effects other than the primary therapeutics effect of a drug candidate. The KFDA notified the Guideline for General Pharmacology in 1997. Safety pharmacology studies were focused on identifying adverse effects on physiological functions. In the ICH came into place S7A Safety Pharmacology Studies for Human Pharmaceuticals in 2001. A new chemical entity should be assessed for its side effects, initially in those physiological systems which are generally agreed to be the key systems that are essential for life; these "core system" include the central nervous system, cardiovascular system and respiratory system in safety pharmacology studies. These studies should be performed in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

  • 기업의 운영에서 안전한 생산 근로 환경은 중요한 요소이며, 공급 사슬 관리상의 물류기업에도 필수적이다. 본 연구는 대형 물류기업과 계약을 체결하여 거래관계를 지속하고 있는 국내 중소 물류기업의 관점에서, 안전 분위기와 안전 예방 활동이 안전 행동과 긍정적인 관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 아울러, 앞선 긍정적인 관계에 규제 불확실성과 경쟁 불확실성의 조절적인 역할도 실증적으로 살펴보았다.

  • 이 논문의 주요 목적은 안전 분위기를 확인하여 공장과 근로자의 안전문화 수준에 영향을 주는 변수들을 찾아내고 더 나아가 화학공장의 안전문화를 향상시킬 수 있는 영향요소를 찾는데 있다. 이 논문에 사용된 질문표는 영국의 HSE(Health and Safety Executive) 의 질문표를 근간으로 문헌 조사를 통하여 경영자와 근로자로 분류하여 개발하였다. 안전문화 수준을 확인하기 위해 빈도수 분석을 하였으며 공장규모, 사고 발생, 사고 및 상해 경험과 심각성, 그리고 고용기간 등과 같은 영향변수들은 ANOVA(Analysis of Variance) 분석을 적용하여 테스트하였다. 빈도수 분석의 결과 일반적으로 경영자와 근로자 모두가 안전문화의 수준이 높게 나타났으며 주된 문제점들로는 부적당한 안전 보건 절차와 규칙, 생산에 대한 압력, 그리고 규칙위반으로 나타났다. 또한 ANOVA 분석결과에 의하면, '고용기간'은 다른 안전 문화의 수준을 만드는 유일한 변수인 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 안전문화의 조사로부터 공장들의 안전 문화요소에 대한 주요 3가지 문제점과 안전문화수준을 발견하였으며 안전 이행 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 2가지 영향요소를 제안하였다.

충북지역 학교급식 조리종사자의 위생지식과 위생관리 수행수준 (Employees' Sanitation Practice Level and Sanitation Knowledge at School Foodservice Operations in Chungbuk Province)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze employees' practice levels and knowledge of sanitation at school foodservice operations, to examine the sanitation conditions of current school foodservice, and to suggest an effective sanitary training program. A questionnaire survey was conducted on a total of 578 subjects and 501 reponses were made available for this study. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS of windows. The main results can be summarized as follows: Training through handouts was the most effective (53.2%) and lack of time caused by overwork (57.1%) made the practice of sanitation training difficult. The degree of employees' perceptions of the necessity of sanitary training programs was marked at 4.18 points. According to the foodservice employees' evaluation about the knowledge of sanitation concerning the sanitary training program contents, the area of environmental sanitation (96.3%) was the highest while food poisoning control (72.9%) was lowest. Foodservice employees' practice levels was ranked above 4 points (out of 5 points) in 9 areas. Practice levels of cleaning and disinfection management were highest while that of safety management was lowest. About the food service employees' practice levels of sanitation, the degree of practice and the application of knowledge was 4.39 points. There was a significantly positive correlation between the practice level of sanitation and sanitation knowledge(p<.01). Thus, educational material needs to be standardized in order to improve employees' sanitation practice level.
