열차제어시스템의 선로정보 생성관리장치 연구 (A study of a equipment, generation and managing train track data for train control system)

  • Since radio communications based train control system requires considerable amount of information than track circuits based signalling system and these information have significant effects on train control system safety, it is essential to ensure information integrity. In addition, when track information has to be added or changed due to track installation, track maintenance (both corrective and preventive), any information changes must be reported to train control system as soon as possible. In this paper, we provide explanation on the equipment and its data structure. Also, we represent the results of a simulator application to check the information integrity generated by the equipment.

  • The Reactor internal structures which consist of many complex components are subjected to flow-induced vibration due to high temperature and pressure in Reactor coolant system. The above flow-induced vibration causes degradation of structural integrity of the Reactor and may result in loosing mechanical binding component which might impact other equipment and component or cause flow blockage. It is important to analyze reactor noise signal for the early detection of potential problem or failure in order to diagnosis reactor integrity in the point of view of safety and plant economics. Detailed composition of diagnostic system reactor internal structures using neutron noise(RIDS).

  • Dissoved oxygen(DO) control by deaerator has a great effect on the integrity of S/G in nuclear power plant. The goal of this study based on the theoretical basis and the extensive surveys is to identify the effect of deaerator in feedwater system on steam generator to clear the need of installation of deaerator. In addition, this paper discusses the review to understand the mechanism of DO formation as well as removal. The conclusion is that the installation of deaerator improve the integrity of S/G and is contributed to the whole nuclear power plant safety.

  • Reactor Noise is defined as the fluctuations of measured instrumentation signals during full-power operation of reactor which have informations on reactor system dynamics such as neutron kinetics.   • 에너지 수송배관은 경제성과 실용성으로 인해 총 설치 길이가 크게 증가하고 있으며, 최근에는 대륙관통 배관망 등의 건설이 지구촌 곳곳에서 진행되고 있다. 이러한 수송용 배관은 운송대상인 오일이나 가스의 폭발특성이나 환경오염 위험성으로 인해 무엇보다 철저한 안전관리가 이루어져야 한다. 선진 각 국에서는 이미 1960년대부터 배관파손의 원인을 분석하고 원인별 대책마련을 위해 부단한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본고에서는 에너지 수송배관에 발생하는 대표적 결함 종류들에 대해, 선진 각 국에서 사용중인 안전성평가 방법을 정리함으로써, 국내 수송배관 안전성평가 대책 마련을 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 한다.

  • The main purpose of the study is to determine the main aspects of information support for anti-crisis management in the context of ensuring national security. In modern conditions, under the influence of COVID-19, it becomes important to develop a modern paradigm for the transformation of anti-crisis management, based on the determination of the laws of state development on the basis of the imperative of national interests and territorial integrity. These are, firstly, the patterns of development of the state system of public administration, secondly, the patterns of development of a complex of state interests, and thirdly, patterns of development of the modern model of the country's territorial integrity. As a result of the study, the key aspects of the anti-crisis management system were identified in the context of ensuring the security of national interests.

The structural and non-linear dynamic analysis for radioactive waste container

  • In recent years, the development of radioactive waste containers for nuclear facility decommissioning and dismantling is a critical issue because the Taiwan domestic boiling water reactor nuclear power plant is going to be decommissioned. The main purpose of this research is to design a metal container that meets the structural requirements of related regulations. At first, the shielding analysis was performed by varying dimensions of radioactive waste to determine the storage efficiency of the container. Then, a series of structural analyses for operational and accidental conditions of the container with full load were conducted, such as lifting, stacking, and drop impact conditions. On the other hand, the field drop impact tests were carried out to ensure structural integrity. The present research demonstrates the structural safety of the developed container for decommissioned nuclear facilities in Taiwan.

A comprehensive review on clay swelling and illitization of smectite in natural subsurface formations and engineered barrier systems

  • For the safe disposal of high-level radioactive waste using Engineered Barrier Systems (EBS), bentonite buffer is used by its high swelling capability and low hydraulic conductivity. When the bentonite buffer is contacted to heated pore water containing ions by radioactive decay, chemical alterations of minerals such as illitization reaction occur. Illitization of bentonite indicates the alteration of expandable smectite into non-expandable illite, which threatens the stability and integrity of EBS. This study intends to provide a thorough review on the information underlying in the illitization of bentonite, by covering basic clay mineralogy, smectite expansion, mechanisms and observation of illitization, and illitization in EBS. Since understanding of smectite illitization is crucial for securing the safety and integrity of nuclear waste disposal systems using bentonite buffer, this thorough review study is expected to provide essential and concise information for the preventive EBS design.

  • Since the release of safety standard IEC 61508 which defines functional safety of electronic safety-related systems, SIL(Safety Integrity Level) certification for railway systems has gained lots of attention lately. In this paper, we propose a new design technique of the computer board for train control systems with high reliability and safety. The board is designed with TMR(Triple Modular Redundancy) using a certified SIL3 Texas Instrument(TI)'s TMS570 MCU(Micro-Controller Unit) to guarantee safety and reliability. TMR for the control device is implemented on FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) which integrates a comparator, a CAN(Controller Area Network) communication module, built-in self-error checking, error discriminant function to improve the reliability of the board. Even if a malfunction of a processing module occurs, the safety control function based on the proposed technique lets the system operate properly by detecting and masking the malfunction. An RTOS (Real Time Operation System) called FreeRTOS is ported on the board so that reliable and stable operation and convenient software development can be provided.
