Design of Autonomous Independent Power System for USN Sensor Node Using Power CT (Power CT를 이용한 USN 센서노드용 자율독립전원 시스템 설계)

  • In wireless sensor network technology, which has been applied to various fields, the power supply and the power management of sensors are the most important issues. For this reason, a new concept of power supply and power management device is required. In this paper, we developed an autonomous independent power supply system that supplies the stable power to a sensor node without an additional external input by applying the energy harvesting technology using the electromagnetic induction principle by utilizing the current flowing in the transmission line. The proposed autonomous independent power supply system consists of a power supply using Power CT and a power management system including a charging circuit. The power management device uses a voltage limiter circuit and a monitoring circuit of charging voltage and current to ensure the safety of charging of the battery. In order to verify the performance of the proposed system, we applied it to the SVL diagnostic system and confirmed that it operates stably.

  • In the present work, the practical thermal design process of 1 DIN car DVD receiver described. In the course of its efficient design, CAE technique was essentially used. CAE technique has reduced research period, man power and material cost but has increased research convenience, organized results and persuasive power. CAE technique helped to study parameters such as vent, fan and heat sink. Using these elements, it tried to meet optimal thermal solution. But safety standard, printed circuit board and framework mechanism should be considered as the constraint. To overcome these constraints, we tried to communicate and compromise with projectors in charge. After all, the price of those efforts has made the most competitive heat sink for heat dissipation in the 1 DIN car DVD receiver market. Moreover, we are trying to save $3 per product by removing fan. This paper is supposed to show an example of the CAE technique and help thermal designers to make electronic packaging goods.

  • Violent crimes have increased continuously due to the development of urban society and have become a threatening factor against the residential safety of citizens. The prevention of these crimes is always a major topic in human society and one of the fundamental elements of the quality of life and safety of citizens. In recent years, much attention has been paid to environmental design through the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) as a preventive measure. Currently, South Korea is promoting the openness and utilization of public data, and crime prevention is one of the fields that can utilize public data actively. This approach to crime prevention utilizing public data will be helpful for the proposal of policies from new viewpoints departing from the general utilization measures of CPTED that improve streetlights and closed-circuit television (CCTV) installations, whose limitations have been pointed out as they are only mechanical surveillance. Thus, this study sets the research scope based on the statistics of the status of five criminal offenses by administrative district in recent years provided by the data portal in Seoul City, the capital of South Korea, as the utilization data and concentrates on the analysis. Based on the analysis results, this study proposes a method to utilize classical music as a new policy for regions where the improvements are most needed. The open-source Python analysis program was employed as the main data analysis and visualization method.

  • Al-brass is the raw material of mnufacturing tubes for heat exchanger of vessel where seawater is used to coolant because it has high level of heat coductivity and excellent mechanical properties and high level of corrosion resistance due to cuprous oxide($Cu_2O$) layer against seawater. However, damage of Al-brass tubes for heat exchanger of vessel is reported that local corrosion such as stress corrosion cracking occurred by synergism effect between mechanical factor and corrosion environment. In this study, to investigate on the effect of stress on the polarization characteristics of Al-brass. At the stress of 0% and 95% yield strength by constant displacement tester, in 3.5% NaCl + 0.1% $NH_4OH$ solution, the polarization tests were carried out. And thus open circuit potential, corrosion current density, anodic polarization, cyclic polarization and dezincification behavior of Al-brass are investigated.

  • The SSC-K system analysis code is under development at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) as a part of the KALIMER project. The SSC-K code is being used as the principal tool for analyzing a variety of off-normal conditions or accidents of the preliminary KALIMER design. The SSC-K code features a multiple-channel core representation coupled with a point kinetics model with reactivity feedback. It provides a detailed, one-dimensional thermal-hydraulic simulation of the primary and secondary sodium coolant circuits, as well as the balance-of-plant steam/water circuit. Recently a two-dimensional hot pool model was incorporated into SSC-K for analysis of thermal stratification phenomena in the hot pool. In addition, SSC-K contains detailed models for the passive decay heat removal system and a generalized plant control system. The SSC-K code has also been applied to the computational engine for an interactive simulation of the KALIMER plant. This paper presents an overview of the recent activities concerned with SSC-K code model development This paper focuses on both descriptions of the newly adopted thermal hydraulic and neutronic models, and applications to KALIMER analyses for typical anticipated transients without scram.

  • In this paper, the risk of electric shock is analyzed through analysis for characterization of potential distribution analysis and ground fault current analysis near the area where there are occurred a ground fault at electric vehicle wireless charging system using 20kHz. Studies for electric vehicle wireless charging system are in the works for development of efficiency increase, pickup shape design and communication module as a fundamental research step. But the research related to electrical safety and is still scarce state so that more studies are necessary to commercialize. As a result of analysis, it is verified that induced voltage is arisen more up to 45V near the a area of accident during ground fault and fault current has been maintained continuously without clearing fault condition by operating characteristics for circuit breaker and inverter.

Improved Design of Hydraulic Circuit of Front-end Loader for Bump Shock Reduction of an Agricultural Tractor (농업용 트랙터의 프론트 로더 충격 저감을 위한 유압 회로의 설계 개선)

  • A front-end loader (FEL) mounted on an agricultural tractor is one of the most commonly used implements to mechanize routine agricultural tasks. When the FEL is used with a loaded bucket, careful operation is required to maintain safety and avoid spillage when the tractor passes a bump because a change in the gravity center of the tractor due to varied loadings can affect the stability of the tractor. Use of a boom suspension system consisting of accumulators and orifice dampers can be instrumental in reducing pitching vibrations while increasing the handling performance of the FEL-mounted tractor. The objective of this research was to reduce bump shocks by adding an orifice and a flow control valve to the original hydraulic circuit composed solely of accumulators. A simulation study was performed using the SimulationX program to investigate the effects of an accumulator and an orifice-throttle damper on bump shocks. Results showed that the peak pressure on a boom cylinder and the vertical acceleration of a bucket were significantly affected by use of both an accumulator and an orifice damper. In a field test conducted with a 75-kW tractor, the peak pressure of the boom cylinder, and the root mean square (RMS) vertical acceleration of the bucket and seat were reduced by on average, 23.0, 42.2, and 44.9% respectively, as compared to those measured with the original accumulator system, showing that an improved design for the accumulator hydraulic circuit can reduce bump shocks. Further studies are needed to design a tractor suspension system that includes the effects of cabin suspension and tires as well as dynamic analysis.

  • This paper describes the mechanical and control design of a robotic device for providing therapeutic assistance to arm movement following stroke. This is a new robot for arm therapy applicable to the training of activities of daily living in homes and clinics. This instrument has one degrees of freedom, and is equipped with position and force sensors. Repetitive movement can improve movement performance in patients with neurological or orthopaedic lesions. The application of robotics can serve to assist, enhance, evaluate, and document neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation of movements. The new robot, the mechanical structure, the control circuit, the sensors and actuators and some safety aspects.

  • In this paper, we proposed to the inspection algorithm for cap, Electric fuse is an over current and circuit protection device which is occurred in electric & electronic appliance. Also the fuse are protection the second hazard at arc etc. Fuse are interest regarding a safety increased. Consequently, the fuse came to be very important. Cap inspection algorithm is designed for the cap of fuse. CCD camera is monitering the solder of cap distribution map. The conditioning of fuse cap; suming all searching data with non solder area. the area is bigger reference data then the cap is bad cap.

  • We have designed the power supply of an 120W $CO_2$ Laser for non-metal material processings. High voltage is automatically controlled by means of thyristor triggered phase control. Pulse and C.W. mode are selectively generated by means of discharge current control. It is possible to interface this system with other Numerical Controller. Also, safety interlock circuit is incorporated in this system.
